The eSports King’s Crush

Chapter 69

Chapter 69: Caught?

At once, the entire room seemed to enter a complicated atmosphere.

That notification had been way too timely.

Mo Bei was also looking in his direction. Her dark eyes were as black as night as they probed.

Feng Nai could, of course, sense that gaze. After pausing for a moment, he calmly lifted his cell phone. Then, the tip of his finger slid to the right, changing to another chat. As he held down the voice message button, his voice was deep and lazy. “We’ll talk about it on Monday.”

Very quickly, another ding was heard from his cell phone.

A reply had come. It was a dumbfounded question. “Talk about what on Monday?”

Feng Nai did not reply. Instead, he locked his cell phone and walked to his bedside, his movements not in the least bit affected. After all, his goal had been achieved.

Meanwhile, Mo Bei had dispelled the absurd thought in her heart.

The first notification sound had been too coincidental. So much so that she’d thought the text she had sent had been received by him…

It was probably because everything that had happened had been way too unusual, so she had come up with an unrealistic guess.

Mo Bei retracted her gaze and focused back on her cell phone. After waiting for more than three minutes, she still did not receive a message from Little Lin.

He was probably asleep.

Mo Bei switched off her phone.

After all, she still had a friendly competition to play at 9 am tomorrow.

However, Mo Bei did not know that a second after she turned around, a certain Almighty on the bed next to hers would unlock his cell phone again and tap open the unread message right at the top. The sender name displayed in the chat was composed of two words: Little Brother.

Feng Nai took a glance at it and then shifted his gaze to the back of the person not too far away. Although he seemed indifferent and aloof, the strongest emotion he gave off was dismissal.

After all, just like the fans had said, Almighty K was a heartless man.

After the lights were out, the room became calm again.

This was the third night that these two people were sleeping in the same room.

It might be because of what she had heard during the day, but Mo Bei had a night full of nightmares after she fell asleep.

In the beginning, they were happily playing games in her dreams, but she subsequently was hunted by him through the entire server. Not one moment of her sleep was peaceful.

Of course, this wasn’t the main point.

The most important point was that she almost divulged her real identity in the dream and let him find out who she was.

Because of this, Mo Bei was still frowning slightly when she woke up, looking very gloomy.

Panda thought that the new support was worrying about the competition that day. During breakfast, he bore the pain and gave his sunny-side-up to him. “Eat more and play well. Don’t affect the entire team’s dinner because of your mood.”

Mo Bei’s expression remained the same as she coolly responded with an “mm” sound.

However, Granny Gray, who was sitting right beside them looked disapproving. After breakfast, he was the first to board the van.

Everyone had woken up really early, so no one was willing to say anything else.

As for Feng Nai, he did not even eat anything. He merely sat there, iciness showing through his languidness. They could tell by looking at his face that they should not come close to him.

When they boarded the van, he put on his black mask and zipped up his jacket. After saying a few words to Han Xi, he evidently prepared to catch up on his sleep.

The other members did the same.

All of them except Mo Bei.

Essentially everyone was resting.

After all, the battle team’s apartment was quite far from the live stream studio.

En route, Feng Nai opened his eyes and popped a peppermint drop into his mouth. When his gaze swept past Mo Bei, who was looking out the window, his pupils darkened…
