Explanations and making furniture
Things became really strange once Luna had fled from my dungeon and I had to just do my best to get through everything while she was away and that apparently included getting some sort of special approval.?!?!
Rocky had tried to “give me a talking to” which apparently their dad should have been doing for some reason???
I don’t quite understand what it was really about but he kept trying to explain that his sister is really important and I have to be good to her, I can’t be hurting her or making her cry and I have to make sure that she will be happy….
Which I think that somehow I have already failed, since she has cried quite a few times in my core room already…
I already know that Luna is very important and not just to me but to her siblings as well, so responding with a yes there couldn’t have been wrong.
I think that I have only been good to her so far so confirming yes to that was without question.
I don’t think I have ever hurt her and I don’t have any intentions to cause her harm so agreeing to that was obvious.
And making her happy, well haven’t I been trying to do that already??? So another yes answer to that was without hesitation.
Yet, I feel like I am missing something important here and I don’t think I am going to get a clear answer from him.
Despite it already being dark out Luna was gone for quite some time, and when she did finally return I couldn’t help but notice that her fur was wet!?!
Did she go and fall into the river?
That can’t be right because her clothes would definitely be wet too but they are mostly dry…?
I don’t know how am I supposed to respond here and am almost grateful that I am not able or expected to respond, followed by feeling depressed for the same reason.
Rocky and Misty were waiting for her in the first room by the fire, Misty was excited at first but now she looks like she is just fighting sleep, while Rocky looks like he is serious and doing something important.
Luna looks frustrated but she thankfully seems to have decided that it is best for everyone to talk and to explain things as she goes.
Luna, “Well we all have some things to talk about, but I think it might be best if we get comfortable for it.”
She prompts me without delay and gives me instructions along with her guiding me with her hand motions.
Luna, “let’s start with a table and chairs for us to sit down at. Can you raise a platform about this big and this tall, now make a back to it about this tall and this wide, great that’s a chair. Now let’s raise a pillar in front of it then create a flat top surface and spread it out this much, you can have it thicker near the pillar but try thinning it out near the outer edge of the circle, awesome that’s a good table. Now lets put another chair here for Rocky and one over here for Misty, and a canteen for water in case anyone needs it, and we can set down and get started!”
I changed a layer of the stone into soft clay where their bottoms and backs would contact the chairs, which was nicely received.
Luna looks proud of herself for a moment before falling back into embarrassment, her face spreading a reddish tinge all the way to her neck.
She clears her throat and requests for Rocky to ask his first question.
Luna, “Well, I will start explaining things one at a time, so Rocky how about you get us started with what you want to know about first?”
Rocky, “So, can I ask what led up to you kissing a dungeon and how exactly that seems to work?”
I also look forward to finding out so I mentally thank Rocky as I focus on Luna.
Luna, “Ahmm, well, let’s see, I guess since I noticed that the dungeon has recovered enough to repair the room that collapsed and I was curious about what else could it make and asked about making a shelf to put some of the cookware and foodstuffs on so we could get them off the floor and whatnot.
Well it turns out that the dungeon doesn’t actually seem to know what furniture is and it needs more details to make anything for the first time.
So I had to describe it and point out where I wanted it to make changes and it did it for me, but I noticed that when I requested that it hollow out a section for the shelf it had hollowed out exactly where I said and by how much I wanted it to but it had added to the outer layer to keep a certain thickness.
I asked about it and it showed me that it had to be that thick because it has this part of the dungeon that is required to be inside of all the dungeon surfaces otherwise they would fall apart like what happened with the room that collapsed.
And you know me, I had to get a feel of it, and I let my curiosity get the better of me and did so without thinking about asking first and it’s smooth and slightly slimy and it wiggled under my touch until it retracted itself suddenly and the shelf crumbled and collapsed into rubble.
I commented on it and asked about its sensitivity and since it seemed uncertain and it raised a pillar from the rubble and exposed itself for me again, which I was extra careful and just barely made contact for just a few seconds at best, which made it tremble and it responded that it is very sensitive.
So I guess I thought since it can really feel through it then maybe it might be able to appreciate a kiss and I wanted to try it, so I did and it made that gust of wind and well I think you probably heard the rest didn’t you.?”
Luna is all fidgety and red faced, which I enjoy seeing, but as most of what she said is just recounting what happened and only her thoughts were shared to an extent I don’t quite have much of an answer here.
Luckily Rocky follows through for me and agrees because his question points out what we need to know!
Rocky, “Okay, so that’s most of what happened but I want to know what made you want to kiss the dungeon in the first place!? you didn’t do it just to know what it felt like did you? So when did you start getting the feelings to want to do it?”
Luna, “Well I think it’s just that it built up slowly…. I mean the dungeon has been really helpful since the beginning and has been really thoughtful in its own way, like how it makes the dungeon floor under our bedding into soft clay and how it has smoothed out the interior of the dungeon so it isn’t as rough as well as it planting medicinal herbs and food for us.
If that wasn’t enough it also saved me when I was in danger and teleported me to safety even though it cost the dungeon too much and I think it almost died because it had tried saving me even though it was still damaged.
Even if it can’t talk I think it’s actions are worth way more than any of the guys who do nothing but spout flowery words but don’t do anything to help when it counts!”
She clearly voiced some anger and frustration at the end there and I readily agreed with her.
Rocky sits there for a while thinking hard about everything before he asks his next question.
Rocky, “I guess I can see what you mean about all that, I guess it makes sense that you would fall for someone who would do all that stuff and risking themselves for you isn’t something to take lightly. I know that I am no expert but doesn’t that mean the dungeon is really serious about you? Since I don’t think anyone risks almost dying for just anyone.”
Luna, “I know right! I haven’t really asked yet though, because I’m afraid that it might not understand the question or concept kind of like how it doesn’t know about furniture until it’s been explained what it is and how to make it. And I don’t know how I should explain about relationships or romance and such, I mean where do I even start with it?”
Rocky grins mischievously.
Rocky, “Hey dungeon, I already asked you some questions about you being good to my sis and treating her right and I think you both really like each other so I just think you should give it a try and see how everything goes. After all I don’t think anyone else would know about how a person and a dungeon can go about a relationship so you just have to figure out how to love each other on you guys own.
Now sis I know dad should be the one having the talk with you guys but I think it’s your life and as long as you are able to find your own happiness then it doesn’t matter what dad or mom for that matter, think about your partner.
So for whatever it matters I want you to know that you at least have my blessing and I will be on your side if you need me and I know Misty will also be on your side too.”
Misty had already fallen asleep and I had made her section of the table into soft clay for her head to rest on.
Luna looks emotionally touched and she goes over to hug her brother and gives him her thanks.
A few moments later after they separated and decided to go put Misty to bed she threw out a very good question.
Luna, “So, what now?…..”
