Chapter 26: Training 3

Waking up the next day, Virgil returned to the training room where he found Chris waiting for him.

"You're here good. Well get started put these on," Chris said pointing at the weights

"Weights?"

"Yes, but before that tell me what you learned from reading the Ten Fang," Chris replied

"That it's mainly focused on fast piercing attacks that focus on a person's weak points like the neck, and heart to deliver a killing blow as soon as possible. but the downside is that it lacks any defensive movements " Virgil answered

"Good put these waits on these weights will help you train your sword swinging speed and power output. You will wear them with you for the rest of the week and you will use this sword," Chris explained

"I doubt these will do much how much does it weigh?" Virgil asked

"Two arm weights, 300 lb. each, two legs weights, 450 lb. each, weight vest 900 lb., and finally the sword that weighs 1,200 lb," Chris said pointing at each item

"y-you can't be serious how do you have something that heavy?" Virgil asked surprised

"Alucard made them with magic and as you get used to it the weight will slowly increase,"

"Shit...Alright let's just start," Virgil sighed slowly putting the weights on

Once he was done he could barely move his body thanks to the ten status points he received before.

"How do you expect me to train in this I can barely move?" Virgil asked struggling under the weight

"That's the point. You will struggle until you succeed. Your first task complete your body conditioning," Chris said with a serious expression

With a look of concern on his face, he began the body conditioning training. He decided to start with the push-ups but he realized to his surprise that he was struggling to move. It took him three tries to complete one push-up.

[You have done training under intense conditions: +1 Strength]

(Status points from training. I didn't know I could get them that way?) Virgil thought surprised at the notification

{Yes. It works very slowly and after your first advancement with will no longer apply}

(I see. Maybe this hellish training will be worth it for now) Virgil thought

"Don't just lay there get to it," Chris yelled at Virgil

With a deep Virgil continued with his push-ups. Each one had harder than the last making is seem impossible to do one hundred. When he got to ten his body was covered in sweat and his bones were aching from the pressure

[You have done training under intense conditions: +1 Strength]

(Fuck ten push-ups and only one more point) Virgil cursed

As time went on Virgil slowly worked his way to the hundred push-ups. His only having d=grace was the occasional status point that would make it somewhat bearable.

Once he finished the push-ups he laid on his stomach unable to feel his arms. He could feel the torn muscles throughout them.

[You have done intense training for a long period of time: +1 Endurance]

{Host that took two and a half hours you won't finish by the end of the day if you rest now} Sabastian said

(Y-yeah I know but I can't move my body it's become too weak) Virgil said struggling to move

"Is this your limit? You speak of stopping the events that will kill trillions yet you struggle here. If you can't complete this give up now and stop your useless mission," Chris said looking down at Virgil

"What did you say?" Virgil asked his voice filled with anger

"I said if you can't handle this stop now. Stop giving people false hope. It's pathetic," Chris said rage and disgust in his voice

"I don't care if you're a year older than me. Fuck I don't care that you're a Belmont. I don't take kindly to disrespect," Virgil said with rage-filled eyes forcing his body to move

"So you can't handle the truth so blinded by the fact you think you're chosen you forget that you still need to work hard to achieve what you want," Chris said walking closer

Hearing those words Virgil's mind was overtaken by rage the only thing he had on his mind was beating the shit out of Chris.

Forcing himself to stand up he stood before Chris with his fist clenched.

"So you can still move. Then pick up the sword. if you can't do that you have no hope of saving anyone," Chris spoke

Looking over at the wooden sword Virgil walked up to it and grabbed the hilt. Feeling the weight on it Virgil knew that Chris was right if you could not pick up this blade...If he could not do simple workouts he would never be able to save anyone his this godforsaken world.

Grabbing the blade with two hands he placed all his strength into pulling the blade. Even though he knew it would be heavy it was beyond what he expected.

The more he pulled the more he felt his bones aching, his muscles tearing and his points poping.

(Come on I can't stop here. No matter how much it hurts I can't stop!) Virgil yelled placing all his remaining strength into the blade

Slowly the blade lifted from the ground. The force on Virgil's body caused his eyes to become bloodshot, blood started dripping from his nose and his fingernails cracked from clenching the blade.

(Shit...I was just playing I didn't think he would be able to move It for a few days) Chris thought in surprise

With all his remaining strength he held the blade in a kendo position while looking at Chris with a grin on his face.

"I told you I don't take kindly to disrespect," Virgil laughed his body finally giving out on him and passing out

"God damn...You're more of a monster than Father," Chris laughed looking down at Virgil
