Chapter 11: Laying seeds
After spending some time calming down from the sudden painful event Virgil took a warm shower but to his surprise, the water did not feel hot at all. Confused he placed it on the max but he did not feel any heat.
(Sabastian what is going on?) Virgil asked
{Simple the inside of your body is already over 300 degrees Fahrenheit or 150 degrees Celsius. Regular shower water won't feel hot to you}
(Wait will that increase as my fire becomes stronger?)
{Most likely} Sabastian replied
(Damn it; I love taking hot showers it allows me to think) Virgil sighed hearing the news
Quickly finishing his shower Virgil left the bathroom and opened the clothes to find black shorts and white T-shirts. Putting on a pair of clothing and black running shoes Virgil left his room and began walking around the tower.
Since it was close to the middle of the night almost everyone was in bed. It was only when he got to the training room where he was Damian and Dick sparring against each other.
(If anyone they would be the best to learn from when it comes to combat) Virgil thought watching the two fight
"Take this seriously Dick just because I'm younger than you that does not mean I can't kill you," Damian said swinging his training sword
"Again Damian we don't kill. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that," Dick sighed blocking his attacks with his batons
Seeing how they were both very focused on their spar Virgil decided to wait until later to ask for lessons. Walking outside of the training room he walked to the kitchen to grab some food when he ran into Raven who was backing to her room.
"Oh hey Raven," Virgil said
"Hello, you're the new magic user correct?" Raven replied
"Yeah my name is Virgil nice to meet you," Virgil replied holding his hand out
"...I hope we work well together," Raven replied walking past Virgil and ignoring his hand
(Looks like being nice won't grab her attention) Virgil laughed to himself
"Also I heard you are a magic user I would like to have a lesson from you if you don't mind," Virgil said
"...My magic isn't something you would like to learn. Ask Zatanna," She replied
"But I can't be corrupted by demonic magic...even magic made by your father," Virgil said
"...Who told you that," She replied stopping her door
"If you are interested in what I know I would request a spar tomorrow. Maybe I will be able to help you stop him. What we have three months right," Virgil said clueing in about her birthday
"...I don't know what you think you know but I suggest you stop now," She replied some purple aura leaking from her
"Sorry for hitting a nerve but this is something that you can't deal with alone and having someone who knows and can help is better than a team that can barely work together," Virgil added before walking away.
Looking over to her side Raven just watched as Virgil's figure walked away. The only thought on her mind was how he knew about her father and the heat that was coming off his body.
...
After grabbing something to eat Virgil activated his barrier skill that only required five mana to activate now and at full power would drain five mana after that.
"I guess that boost really helped," Virgil laughed
Walking to the elevator Virgil went to the ground floor. Going to the back of the building Virgil found himself in a garden and sitting on a railing looking over a cliff was Kori staring at the stars.
"Missing home," Virgil said walking closer
"Oh Virgil I didn't realize you were here," She said turning around a little startled
"Sorry about that I shouldn't have snuck up behind you," Virgil said apologizing
"No It's fine but what are you doing here?" Kori asked
"I couldn't sleep so I was just walking around when I found this place. It's beautiful," Virgil said looking at the flowers
"Thank you. I planted these flowers myself. it's a human past-time that I find very calming," Kori replied
"Did you plant a lot? I mean back home?" Virgil asked
"No...Tamaran was not the nest for flora as beautiful as this to grow. But it had some of the most unique vibrant plants" Starfire replied with a small smile
"Well maybe I can make you a greenhouse that will allow you to plant some things from your home world," Virgil offered
"Please you don't have to go through the trouble you just focus on learning to control your powers," Kori replied
"If you say so. it's already getting late enough I should try to get some sleep, and so should you," Virgil said starting to walk inside
"I will in a bit. See you tomorrow Virgil," Kori replied
"See you tomorrow Kori," Virgil replied waving his hand
As Virgil left Kori only had one thought on her mind that concerned her.
(Why is his body giving off similar heat to the sun)
