The Alpha's Return

Lucas bent over the left, but he kept his eyes on the side mirror, making sure that the person that they were taunting was still behind them.

"Well, we know that he is a good driver, seeing that he is still on our tail after that sudden right.", Lucas commented.

"I am new to New York. Where the hell is the nearest Walmart?", Angela asked.

"Wait. You didn't know? Why did you take a right here then?", Lucas asked.

"For fun. Now tell me where I need to go.", Angela replied.

"Take a left here, and take a left after five hundred more meters. After that, take your phone and look at the goddamn directions. You have a car. Don't tell me you don't have a navigation system.", Lucas asked.

Angela grunted in response. She followed the directions that Lucas gave, and after she took the second left, she could see a Walmart in sight. She went into the mart, and stopped in one of the parking slots.

"So, did he continue following us?", Angela asked.

"Yup. The dude just walked into disaster.", Lucas smiled.

"Remember, he might be an actual human. Don't go too hard on him.", Angela said.

"He was in the bank of Darius. He was not stopped at the entrance. He's a supernatural alright. By his smell, I would wager he is a ghoul or something.", Lucas said.

"A ghoul, huh? Interesting. Those people are very rare. Well, better get going then. So, should we just hide, and let him approach our car or something?", Angela asked.

"Looks like you are pretty new at all of this. I will show you exactly how we will proceed.", Lucas grinned.

The person who was tailing them till now entered the parking lot. He was clearly visible. The car that he was driving was one that drew attention to itself, and it conflicted with the entire purpose of secretly tailing someone.

Lucas and Angela were not in their own car, but rather a few cars away, carefully looking at who was coming.

"I still do not like how you want to do this. We can just wait till he gets off, punch him till he talks, and then take his car.", Lucas said.

"There are cameras all over here. I will be publically broadcasted all over the world, and the entire purpose of what we usually do is defeated.", Angela said.

"Yeah, whatever. The introduction of all of this technology only created problems. I really liked the old school days. We did not need to worry about how many bodies would be found, because everyone was too afraid to try and check what happened. They would quickly burn everything. Now, everyone is even questioning if gods existed. They see that toy that Ra spit out, and they think that Ra was just a figment of imagination.", Lucas scoffed.

"Well, what can we do about it?", Angela sighed.

"Look. He is coming out. Do you recognize him?", Lucas pointed towards the car. Indeed, the car door opened, and a man came out of it. He straightened his jacket and was walking towards Angela's car.

"If I knew him, I would have recognized him in the bank.", Angela shook her head.

"Let us see what he does with your car.", Lucas said with a smile.

"It shouldn't be anything too serious. There is sentry mode on the car, and his face would be sent to the nearest police station, as well as my phone.", Angela said.

"But that clearly isn't stopping him. He just put something below our car. Clearly, he is underestimating us.", Lucas smiled as he disappeared from where he was crouching.

"Just don't kill him- and he is gone.", Angela sighed.

The man who was stalking them till now, was crouching beneath Angela's car. He was hooking up something underneath it.

"Just what do you think you are doing?", Lucas' voice rang out.

The man was startled, and in getting up, he banged his head against the car.

"Such an uncoordinated man actually wants to go against me? What is your confidence?", Lucas laughed.

The man quickly got up, and faced Lucas. He looked back at the car, looking at it nervously.

"You put an explosive underneath it? You idiot.", Lucas shouted as he slapped the man. The man fell aside, a few meters away, just with the sheer brunt force of the blow.

Lucas bent down and looked at what the man hooked up. He quickly held it and plucked it out. It was a brick sized device, with a lot of tapes, and wires.

"Well, looks like you are going to have quite the good time with this now.", Lucas smiled creepily.

The man who was on the ground, looked at Lucas with fear.

"How are you so powerful? Just a single blow sent me flying.", the man trembled.

"You actually did something like this without any research? What are you? An idiot? Looks like I am facing a lot of people just like you these days.", Lucas shook his head.

"What are you going to do to me? Do you know? All the supernatural fights cannot happen in public. There are cameras all around us. You are not supposed to kill me here.", the man said as he backed away.

"Then I will take you somewhere private. That is better right?", Lucas laughed.

Lucas' figure distorted, and so did the man's.

In an alley a few streets away,

"Ouch!", the man cried out in pain as he fell on the ground. He looked around with confusion, and then with shock.

"How did you get me here? In such little time?", the man asked, his voice filled with fear.

"For now, I will be the one who is asking all the questions, and you will be listening to them.", Lucas said coldly as he cracked his knuckles.
