Chapter 58: Deadline Approaching

The Imperium continued its forward advance with each conquered Star System with the 36 crusading fleets that continued to move about the Segmenetum. Each system they found even ones without life was mapped, surveyed, and then prepared for colonization.

When they found a sentient alien population, they were given the option of compliance. If they refused, they would be exterminated and then they would be replaced by a loyal clone population.

As for the systems that had no planets on them, artificial ones would be made through magic and advanced science. Through this, the galactic map began to grow with each new system as advancements on new colonies were sped up through Time Dilation Fields.

In this manner, massive colonies could be set up in just a matter of months rather than decades. Each planet that joined The Imperium, increased the range that crusading fleets could go as they had more planets to resupply at.

However, one of the nearest systems that was set for diplomatic means was Tamaran. Justinian felt he could gain more benefits through peaceful diplomacy so he began to send his diplomats to meet with the Tamaraneans.

There he saw that the Tamaraneans were a dying people as they had lost a brutal war with the Citadel. A brutal race of conquerors who Justinian knew about and intended to wipe out as competitors for his galaxy.

When his diplomats arrived at Tamaran, the King, King Myand'r the Father of Star Fire and Black Fire revealed the cause of the strife. Years ago, Tamaran had been a paradise until the war with the Citadel. The Tamaraneans were not weak and held their own until Black Fire turned traitor and gave vital information to the Citadel.

As a result, millions of Tamaraneans were murdered and King Myrand'r had to promise to give his daughter Star Fire to the slavers of the Citadel. Of course, she eventually escaped to Earth, but in some comics not unscathed.

He hadn't read her mind when he met her, and he didn't want to know. However, his diplomats began to speak of The Imperium. What they were trying to do, was unify the entire galaxy.

They offered King Myrand'r the same offer of compliance, but under much better terms than others got. The King could stay King as a Planetary Governor, and his people could remain as a vassal rather than a true part of The Imperium.

In exchange, The Imperium would give his people its safety against The Citadel, technology, genetic enhancements, and even the location of his lost daughter Star Fire. Myrand'r when he learned his daughter had escaped had been overjoyed.

He didn't outright agree to join The Imperium, but he did give his word which was big for Tamaraneans that he would begin to prepare for this. The diplomat had agreed to this which meant that it was time for his Space Marines to do what they did best.

Slaughter and five Crusading Fleets had been dispatched into the Vega star system. The Vega Star System was the home system of the Citadel which had almost 22 planets in it. 21 were under the control of the Citadel and their technology was rather crude.

While they did have advanced tech, they couldn't really understand it. The race as a whole were stupid brutes as they were all clones of one primogenitor. As a result, the race was sterile and could only advance through more cloning.

Unlike Justinian's cloning facilities that introduced new genetics to make new unique clones, the Citadelians worked to continue the original genome. As such, with each generation, they became dumber and less stable.

When the crusading fleets moved in, The Citadelians were left like fish in a barrel. Their tech could not compare against the Psy-Magic Tech of The Imperium or their wide use of magic.

Each of their planets was set apart by millions of Space Marines all hungering for battle. With them, their Tempestus Scion, Psian Jackel, Krork, Eldar, Kryptonian, and Tyranid allies ravaged each world.

Entire packs of Predakons, Tyranids, and Kryptonians blotted out the sky as oceans of fire took each world. Their plant's crude defensive rings were shattered and their plants glassed, or virus-bombed.

There was no benefit to the genetics of the Citadelians so they would be slaughtered to the last. When the Citadelian fleets, armies, and slaves were all slaughtered, the primogenitor who had his name lost to history and who had fused himself with the main AI of the Citadel was destroyed.

His AI could not compare to the five-legion AI that ravaged his systems before destroying him. Any information in the Citadelian Database was taken transferred back to Mars where they used the galactic map of the Citadelians to find more star systems.

With the battle over, the five crusading fleets had their victory celebration over the ruins of the Citadel. Of course, this was just another civilization brought low, and before long it was time to get back to the crusade.

As the crusading fleets moved onto deeper space, they left behind teleport gates to the Vega Star System. While the planets had been raved by the fleets, they were intact. As long as the planets were intact, they would be repaired, terraformed, and colonized.

All the while, Justinian watched on from his Crystal Throne. The more the Imperium worshiped him, the more he collected the faith of his citizens. He began to experiment with faith energy with clones and he did find that Faith could be toxic to one's sense of self.

If one was worshiped by so many people, the thoughts of the people would begin to influence the one getting worshiped. Of course, that was if the Faith was absorbed raw and not refined.

Justinian also felt he had found the perfect container for all that faith. The Green Lantern Ring he had found as he had discovered that it had been made from solid willpower. The Power Batter connected it to the Power Battery of Oa which drew on the emotional spectrum of Will Power.

In his study of the ring, he began to modify the ring to suit his needs. The first thing he did was cut a sliver of his soul which would normally take someone a long time to heal. However, for his Immortal soul, the piece he cut regenerated in a few moments.

He then forged that shard of his soul into the Green Lanter Ring and he even began to modify the Power Battery that came with it. He used his tyrannical Divine Energy and potent Psychic Abillities to modify the Power Battery for a better purpose.

Through his modifications, he turned the Power Battery into a container for all the Faith Energy that came from his citizens. Through the Power Ring which now contained a part of his soul, he could weaponize the Faith of The Imperium as a weapon.

Plus, the ring still had the powers of a regular Power Ring which he put on his right hand. Once his new Power Ring The Ring Of The Emperor was complete he began to prepare for his takeover of Earth.

In this manner, another two years went by in the blink of an eye. Currently, in The Imperial Palace, Justinian was holding a private class. Diana had brought Rachel with her as over the last two years Justinian had been projecting his consciousness to teach Raven as he had said.

However, when Diana was going to go to Mars to visit Justinian she decided to bring Rachel with her. Currently, Justinian was teaching not just her, but also his niece Eldora and his daughter Legienstrasse.

Eldora now that she had turned 6 was a bit taller, but she was still a kid. Only that now she had more red scales around her cheeks and her tail had gained a few more spikes. As for Legienstrasse as a Primarch with an accelerated growth rate she already looked like a young human woman.

Only that she was still a child since her real height was going to get much larger like Justinain and her five mothers. Justinian had removed his helmet at the moment so he went on with his lesson.

"When you say Magic, there are many kinds and different branches. Rachel, you use the magic of Azarath and you were taught pacifism, meditation, and the suppression of your emotions. This is to keep you safe from Trigon, but I think I can find ways to keep you safe regardless.

As for me, when I use magic I use two branches. The calculation path is where I use magic circles to have magic do what I want and I calculate what I want to happen. Then is the draconic path. Dragons are effectively magic personified and they mostly have magic do as they please through brute force.

You, as the daughter of Trigon, are using Demonic Magic which also acts like a conduit to Trigon. As such, what you need to do is find a way to sever your connection to your sire."

Rachel now 17 looked at the journal she had written in on some spells that Justinian made for her. They were more permanent solutions, acting as seals to keep her soul safe, prevent outside influence on her mind, and keep her emotions calm.

"I understand, but how am I supposed to do that."

Diana who was sitting next to her simply placed a hand on her head.

"That is something you got to figure out. Out of all of us, you are so much more than merely Trigon's daughter. If anyone can defeat him, it is you."

Eldora crossed her arms before shaking her head.

"Nuh uh, uncle can do it."

Justinian just ruffled her head.

"It depends, if he makes an Avatar, I can beat it. If I fight his true self, then no way. Then again, just outright killing him would be such a lost opportunity for you Rachel."

As she looked up into his blinding golden purple eyes she wondered what he meant.

"What do you mean?"

He kneeled down and as close to eye level as he could get. He leaned closer and had her look him dead in the eyes.

"When you kill him, where will all his power go? It has to go somewhere and if you just leave it he could resurrect himself and he could continue his path in the future. You have to deal with him permanently and take his power for yourself.

As a hybrid, you have more potential than him so use it to your advantage."

As he stood back up he prepared to leave as he had a meeting with a very annoying individual to get to.

"If you excuse me, I got someone to meet."

He waved his hand and he tore open a portal before he stepped through it. When he was gone, Legienstrasse turned over to Raven who was thinking about what he said.

"My Father is correct in his words. Your Sire killed your Mother and your people so this goal should be yours. Become stronger than he could ever imagine and end him."

When she said that she sounded a lot like her 3rd Mother, Leona. Leona was to the point, but she had inherited the personality traits of her 6 genetic sires. Then again, her main genome came from Raven herself, but she didn't need to know that.

As Raven began to think of what she had been learning under Justinian, he opened a portal over planet Terra. There he saw Superman waiting for him and he seemed weary.

"Superman, the deadline is not yet arrived."

Superman sighed.

"Justinian, stop this. You could steamroll Earth with your armies, or you yourself could take it. Why did you even give us a deadline for us to prepare against?"

Justinian went silent for a moment before he answered.

"Pity. Are you saying you want me to move up the deadline?"

Superman scowled.

"I want you to stop playing games with us."

Justinian nodded.

"I see. In that case, you have one month. In one month you will meet me again and in an Honor Dual we will see if Terra joins The Imperium or not."

Superman nodded.

"Fine then. I will be there."

Justinian almost smiled.

"I am glad. I will prove to you through the next millennium why I had to do this. You who have only lived three decades could never know what millennia of life does to a person."

Justinian opened another portal to return, but before he left Superman said one thing.

"I will have no choice then."

With that Justinian entered the portal as Earth would become Terra in one month. Superman VS Justinian would be shown to all.
