Chapter 58 – Hospital First

(Ai’s Perspective)
"Mo— I really wish I could go with my child together and see what kind of idol Aqua wanted to see!!" I grumbled so while sinking into a chair in the room reserved for me in the Strawberry Production’s building,
"Sorry, but for now, you can't do that. We still have to limit how much the three of you are together. Also, you’re meeting with someone, aren't you? That's why you asked Mem to follow them around, right?" A short distance away from me, Miyako answered my grumbling as she entered the room after me.
"Even so, I would still love to go together with him."
"Well, you can just wait for your retirement, and you will be free to do anything together with the two of them."
"That might be true. But retirement, huh— It's been a long time since I became an Idol. It feels a little nostalgic, and I remember the first time I performed. Ah, but my favorite was when I saw the twins dancing while watching me perform. Ah- I still remember that incident. Too bad, we only have the recordings on the internet." I reminisced about it and probably couldn't help but have a big smile on my cheeks. I can’t help but smile when I think of my twins.
"Well, that's a pity indeed. However, how was your meeting with Kaburagi-san?" Miyako nodded in agreement before quickly popping the question as if she didn't want me to start my conversation about the twins.
Miyako probably knew that I would talk at considerable length about the twins. I also know that she might sometimes get tired of listening to me speak and gossip about the twins because if she's in a good mood, she might also like to talk about the twins.
Because at the end of the day, Miyako also likes to pamper the twins and probably thinks of them as her own children. It was just because we kept secrets about the twins as my children. So, Miyako became the only person I could talk to about the twins.
This means she wasn't in the mood or working mode at this moment.
"Hm, I don't think I'll find one I like," I replied truthfully. "What about you?"
"Me— Well, it's the same. I guess." Miyako's face showed some displeasure.
"Yeah, in the end, the company that Jimina holds is very suspicious, even though we always hear good news about them publicly. If we keep looking into it, we can say that it is a place that girls who dream of becoming idols should stay away from." Miyako told me with a face full of displeasure.
"Yeah, they target a naive and desperate girl, after all. I even heard they use drugs and promote their idols and companies by giving girls to old farts. But they really work so neatly that neither of us has heard anything bad about them before digging deep enough." Miyako continued her words while I nodded to her statement.
"It can't be helped. After all, they had quite a connection, and honestly, it is quite surprising why they can achieve that." I grumbled as I recalled my conversation with Kaburagi. He didn't say much and said just a surficial value about them. But I knew from his tone and expression that it signaled me not to involve myself with them.
"Yeah, especially because they had some strong connection with this company," Miyako said while giving me a paper with information about Jimina's small production company.
"Geh, no wonder," I commented while looking at the company, which, although small, is still a subsidiary of a big company with strong links to a conglomerate family. Or commonly called Zaibatsu, and this company is also among the Big Four Zaibatsu, Shinomiya Zaibatsu.
"Well, they're a big company in the end. I myself couldn't find out if they're actually directly related to Jimina's Production Company. Well, I doubt they're involved in anything with him, but I'm sure one of them knows about this company's involvement with Jimina. Probably the eldest son of the head of the Shinomiya family as the main suspect." Miyako explained her findings to me.
"Ah, he had such a villainous look— Look! He's bald and full of tattoos. It's screaming: "I'm a bad guy!" I left my opinion to Miyako while looking at the picture of the eldest son of the head of the Shinomiya family.
"Yeah, that's true— Anyway, this is really difficult."
"Yeah, I'm starting to understand why it's much better not to be involved. They are related to families belonging to the Zaibatsu. What a hassle." I fumed again. "What can I say to Aqua— I already said I would help him!!! But this is quite problematic, right?"
"Ha—" Miyako sighed, listening to my whining. "It's fine. He will understand."
"No, I want to give Aqua what he wants— We can still take the girl for Aqua, right?" I said while staring at Miyako, who once again sighed heavily.
"It's possible. It all depends on how we negotiate and how they react. I think it's good if we don't offend or anger them. Although, in other words, we might end up paying more compensation than we expected at first." Miyako answered my whining with a reasonable answer.
"Yeah— that's maybe the only option for us—" I replied, closing my eyes and feeling frustrated. "We thought it would be easy— but I wonder if Aqua himself may have known about this," I said while thinking about my only son.
I felt like he was too bright for someone his age. I mean not only his intelligence but his demeanor too. Sometimes, it felt like he was someone around my age— which it's frustrating since as he became older, he became more—more like his father or my ex-boyfriend, which infuriated me sometimes.
"If they didn't have any connection with Zaibatsu— I'm thinking of destroying this small Idol production company myself," I spoke with a much colder tone.
"..." Miyako didn't say anything but after what happened last time with Aqua, who was almost killed by someone…
I naturally looked up and asked Miyako, who told me everything. Including Aqua, who could guess who his father was from all the data Miyako gave me and what she told me. I think I can come to the conclusion that the person behind my attack is none other than my ex-boyfriend, Hikaru.
Then this person named Jimina is most likely the one who has ties to Hikaru. Well, in other words, I'm pretty sure Aqua knows about this and probably has a plan to disrupt his father or something. I didn't know what his true plan was, but when I think about the probability a chance this may Aqua's plan hinder his father.
I am quite sure that I will help him with this—
"Well, we don't need to hold back and try our best to lure them to the company. You can do that, right? Miyako."
"If it's your choice, I'll do my best. I guess."
"Thanks. Hm—" I was so grateful to have Miyako on our side before I felt her smartphone go off.
"Is someone calling you?"
"Yeah— Oh, it's Mem." She replied to me and received a call from Mem. I didn't know what they were talking about, but Miyako's face became a bit pale and showed a worried look.
"Hm— Is something happening?"
"Well, please just calm— okay. It looks like Aqua is going to the hospital."
"Eh—-" I stared at her with an expression that might be like 'are you serious’ and Miyako gave a nod,
"Uuu— My boy!!" Without saying anything, I left the building fast.
