Chapter 56 – Underground Live second.
Edited by The Darkest Knight#4796
Well, it was a dimly lit room, but the chill air from the air conditioner made it comfortable even though we were in the basement. Even in the dimly lit room, I could easily look around the room, which was quite big with a small podium in front of us.
I took a glance around. It was easy to see the fans were quite excited even though the group wasn't performing. Honestly, at first, I was quite curious since I felt really bad when I was about to enter the building, but for some reason slowly disappeared after entering this room. I wonder if my guts told me there wasn't anything wrong in this area or if the source of my bad feeling was gone.
I don't think I would know the truth anyway. What I experienced before and a few years ago was still a big mystery.
While I looked around like that, suddenly, my eyes met with Kobachi, who also glanced over in my direction. I could still see the unease on her face.
"Are you alright?" I asked her.
"Nn— It's a bit scary. I guess." Kobachi replied with uncertainty. Once she answered my question, she came close to me, which made me wonder.
"Wait, where's Ruby? And also Mem-cho?" I asked Kobachi. It looked like I took too much time thinking about those bad feelings that I lost focus on them.
"Oh, they're over there—" Kobachi replied while pointing to the area near the stage. Even so, the place was quite packed with people. I could see those two small, big girls with blonde hair blended with an enthusiastic crowd of fans.
Honestly, they were both big fans of Idol which made them want to become an Idol themselves. Therefore, they were also quite excited to see the performance of this underground Idol group. Although most likely, their curiosity was because I said that one of them had a talent that would be a pity to let slip away.
"Geez, even though she is the one who invited you out here, and she's the only one having fun. Sorry about my little sister." I apologized, and Kobachi responded with a small shake of her head.
"Ruby actually asked me to follow her to the front. However, I refused and just wanted to be here. It's a bit far from the center of the crowd." Kobachi answered my question with a straightforward answer.
"Is that so? Well, at least I hope you will enjoy this."
"Un, I hope I will. But I heard that we all came here because you found a talented idol or something. I wonder if you're enjoying idols or something like that?"
"Hm, I'm only watching Idol for my company, and I don't think I watch them that much. I also found this girl by accident. Sometimes I enjoy watching them, but most likely because of their Idol. I chose personality, so I wanted to see how good this girl is— So I need to watch her directly at least." I had clearly explained to her, who responded with a simple nod.
After chatting with Kobachi for a while, I could hear the audience becoming more enthusiastic than before. Then four girls entered the stage, two of whom were girls I knew, and the other two were people I didn't know.
The person who looked like Azki and Roboco from my previous life waved their hands and welcomed the fans. They had a short conversation before starting their song performance. When compared to the outfits often used by B-Komachi and Starlight, can it be said that the performance costumes used by the four people are more revealing and sexy?
And to be honest, their performance was pretty good, even though it was still a far cry from B-Komachi and Starlight. However, it feels like a very unfair comparison for them. At the end of the day, they are underground idols. They will probably never be on par with internationally renowned idols. However, at the end of the day, I'm just a person who saw these two groups, so I can only compare their performances to the two groups that I recognize.
"Hm— what do you think?" I asked Kobachi, who stood close to me. Her eyes wandered all over the place. She glanced at me before she replied.
"Well, the music and performance may be nice, but I don't think it's really good. At the same time, the people in this room were enjoying themselves."
"Un, this is the place to have fun, after all."
"Is that so, but it's still weird to see that girl and the fans—"
"Ahaha, of course— I think this place isn't a place for you? If you wish, it would be much better to see B-Komachi or starlight directly rather than this."
"Hm, maybe I'll try it next time."
"Good, I'm glad to hear that. I think Ruby will be happy to hear that too. I hear that she wants you to join her if, in the future, she would make an idol group for herself."
"Ah, she told you that."
I nodded to her and responded before I told her.
"I know that you don't want to be an idol, but as her brother. I would be happy and feel safe if you joined her. I mean, you are someone I can trust Ruby with. And among all that, I really like your voice and the way you perform when you sing. I firmly believe you can become an amazing idol too." I told her, with all honesty.
"Is that so? I will think about it—" She blushed shyly at my words.
I had those conversations after I felt like I had seen enough of their performance. I felt that I had seen enough of their appearances. I didn't find anything special in her performance. The girl who looked like Azki in my previous life, who had starry eyes like Ai.
Honestly, I can see the starry eyes of the girl. Of course, she is not as bright as Ai or Sora. No, it could even be that the Azki-like girl's starry eyes were dimmer and smaller than what I saw in the picture Ryuju-san gave.
I wonder if something happened in that span of time. Hm, oh, it looks like the performance changed to a solo one, and it looked like the one who performed would be the Azki girl.
And it seems like this performance might be the best I've seen from this group. I don't know, but if I look at her solo performances as if in her previous performances, she's holding back because the rest of the group wasn't on the same level as her.
It feels like when she is performing solo, like now, her eyeballs are sparking, which makes my body jolting with joy. And my brain told me this is— this is why she had such starry eyes.
Not only that, I could feel the difference in Azki's mood. It felt like she was happier and performed much better when she performed alone— a far cry from when they performed together. Do they have no chemistry? Or do they not like each other?
But there was no way, right?
"Aqua-kun, is this the girl you said you wanted to see?" Kobachi asked, and from his eyes, I could see that he was quite amazed at Azki's appearance.
"Ah, yes. She's quite good, right?"
"That's true."
I nodded to her response. I think seeing her in person was a good choice. I don't need to think about anything else other than trying to get her into Strawberry Pro. Yeah, I watched the performance until it was finished. It was such a good thing to experience.
"Hm, it looks like it will be over," Kobachi spoke with a sigh, seemingly enjoying the Idol's performance.
"Yes, this is very good." I nodded and was satisfied with this finding.
Hmm, at that moment, I felt like I was seeing someone I recognized as the person I told Ryuju-san to observe. Jimina— he was standing and observing the group's performance near the door.
Jimina looked like an ordinary person who was watching the performance of the idol group she created. Because of the dim building, it was actually quite difficult to find him. However, somehow I was able to find him in this crowd. I felt that there was something odd, but I ignored that feeling and thought that maybe it was because I had seen his face many times from the reports I got from the Ryuju family.
However, I slowly wondered if Jimina was the one who always came to see the Idol Group's performance because, according to the reports I received, he was not the one who came to this place really often at all.
I don't know why, but I feel my body getting on edge when I think about it. As if something was wrong? Or he was just here by coincidence.
