Chapter 105: Thank You For Your Obsession (14)
Distria —Kang Hyukjun
Lepis —Lee Sehyun
Female lead —Lee Dayoon
Sehyun felt so nervous that, for a moment, it felt like time had stopped. Every sound around him seemed oddly amplified. The sound of his own heartbeat, the ticking of the clock, and even Hyukjun’s breathing all seemed to echo as if they were right next to him.
He was on edge.
He thought that it was because he had slept with Dayoon that things had got crazy.
He desperately wished that Hyukjun would never become aware of his feelings for Dayoon. Was it because he had slept with Dayoon and because he loved her body, it led to his heart getting eaten away, too?
He desperately hoped that Hyukjun wouldn’t realize his love for her. If Hyukjun were to become aware, there would be no place for him to intervene.
Just a few days ago, while sleeping with Dayoon, Sehyun had hoped that Hyukjun would come to his senses as soon as possible. But now, he didn’t want Hyukjun to become aware of his feelings for Dayoon.
Even as he calmly reflected on his own feelings, Sehyun’s thoughts became tangled. A question that he had no intention of asking slipped out of his mouth.
“Why… are you asking me that?”
It was an irritated tone.
Displeasure.
Sehyun swallowed a frustrated breath. He wondered if Hyukjun had noticed his sensitivity. Whether he would feel something inexplicable because of it, he became scared for a moment.
He waited for Hyukjun’s reaction while holding his breath without making a sound.
Thump, thump.
He was worried that Hyukjun could hear his pounding heartbeat.
“Ah, I see.”
A brief retort.
As if saying that all the fear and anxiety that Sehyun felt about revealing his strangeness to Hyukjun were useless emotions. His boss didn’t seem to notice anything off as he casually returned his gaze to the documents.
First, there was relief, and then, there was misery.
The final emotion was embarrassment.
In that brief moment, various emotions rushed in like a tide and then receded like an ebb.
He felt relieved that there was no chance of his secret with Dayoon being exposed due to the momentary slip-up, and he felt miserable at the lack of feeling even during his exaggerated behavior, which was different from his usual self.
Despite spending quite a bit of time with her, it seemed as though she didn’t matter to him at all. It was as if he couldn’t even imagine what kind of relationship could develop between someone like the two of them.
Although Hyukjun wasn’t even paying attention to him, he felt embarrassed that he got flustered, his heart racing, and that he expected some sort of reaction.
A hot flush rose to his ears. His expression was blank.
Moreover, upon seeing that Hyukjun didn’t care about him, he had a ridiculous thought. He was originally a completely different person from him. To Hyukjun, he was just a competent subordinate at work.
He wasn’t someone worth caring about.
That thought kindled a fire in his heart. The notion of him, an inferior person, knowing the secret of the woman Hyukjoon loved. He wanted to talk about the relationship between Dayoon and him… such an absurd, childish thought crossed his mind.
Despite knowing that nothing would come out of it, his face flushed with embarrassment at his childishness. He felt a stifling sensation, clutching at his throat and grabbing it with one hand, trying to soothe the burning sensation.
A low sigh, restless movements.
Yet Hyukjun didn’t react.
“Ah, I see.”
Finding himself still preoccupied was absurd. He felt a sense of wounded pride towards Hyukjun, who seemed to feel nothing at all. Absurd emotions. Absurd thoughts… even though he knew that his feelings were misplaced.
“But… do you know?”
He blurted out the opening of his sentence.
Even if they talked about it, there was nothing to gain. What was the point? Dayoon and Sehyun had nothing more than a sexual relationship. What was he trying to achieve by making a fuss over this trivial relationship?
In addition, if she didn’t take this situation seriously and just wanted a sexual partner, it would be even better for Hyukjun.
He bit his lip.
His mind was uneasy.
“What?”
As Hyukjun asked, Sehyun recalled that he had started the conversation. It was an impulsive act. However, even amidst that, he felt relieved that he didn’t blurt out everything.
It was disgusting.
He tried to cover up the feeling of falling to the ground and spoke jokingly,
“It seems she doesn’t have much interest in the Boss.”
A heavy silence settled in the room.
An object conveniently obscured Sehyun’s face, preventing Hyukjun from seeing him in his position. Through the silence, there was a tapping sound as fingers drummed on the desk.
“Today, you seem rather strange.”
The sound of a chair moving suggested that Hyukjun stood up from his seat. As his footsteps approached, Sehyun covered his face with both hands. He didn’t want anyone to see his distorted face, twisted with jealousy.
Suddenly, Hyukjun halted in front of Sehyun. His gaze met his, and then he sneered.
“…I don’t think I ever told you to fall in love.”
“….”
“After seeing what you’re doing, it seems like what I’m doing is love after all.”
The love that he could feel through jealousy was not that sweet or beautiful. Hyukjun knew that his obsession and possessiveness stemmed from love.
His footsteps as he left the room were light.
Sehyun stared blankly at the space where Hyukjun had left. He messed up his hair.
* * *
Days passed without anyone coming by for three days.
With no TV or phone in the room, Dayoon was bored. Although Hyukjun had released the restraints on her arms and legs, she still felt just as trapped with nothing to do. Besides, she was worried that he might be concerned about her trying to escape through the window.
The shutters were closed.
She was appalled at Hyukjun’s thoroughness.
For that reason, the only place she could see outside was the bathroom window. As she stepped onto the toilet seat to look out the window, she found the sight of the floating clouds quite fascinating. Perhaps she was gradually going crazy from her long confinement.
It wasn’t a good sign. If she was going to be stuck like this, he could at least give her a TV.
She wanted to breathe the outside air. Dayoon wanted to open the window. At first, she thought she might not have enough strength due to not exercising. However, even though she kept trying, the window wouldn’t open.
She became angry, wondering what methods Hyukjun had created even in this small gap. In addition, when did he even come?
Feeling the warm body near her waist, Dayoon turned her head.
“I want to get out.”
“Is that so?”
She didn’t expect much, so Dayoon was a little surprised when Hyukjun readily agreed to let her out.
Seeing that he clasped her hand, kissing the back of her hand and smiling with curled eyes, he looked so different from the last time she saw him that it sent shivers down her spine. She quickly withdrew her hand and lashed out at Hyukjun.
“Are you crazy?”
She turned on the water at the sink and washed her hands as if a bug had landed on her hand.
Despite her contemptuous face, Hyukjun just laughed in amusement. For her, he was someone she couldn’t quite predict. She wanted to speak her mind but hesitated, fearing that he might have been deceiving her all along.
She closed her mouth. She should have bashed his head in with a brick back then… no, she should have killed him.
Dayoon regretted it for a moment.
“Why the frown? I didn’t laugh because it made you feel bad.”
Hyukjun gently wrapped his arms around Dayoon’s waist. He slipped his hand inside her clothes, feeling her flat belly with his warm hand.
“Since I’ve touched this too, I guess you should wash it.”
Dayoon shivered at the low, lusty voice voice.
Did this guy only have s*x on his mind? Was she nothing more than a sex partner? Well, it was probably better than him forcing his love on her. If she got tired of him like this, she could easily discard him.
She just closed her eyes and leaned into him.
Hyukjun pressed his lips against hers, firmly gripping her head against the wall as he deeply explored her mouth. She may have hit the faucet on the wall. The water from the tap above them splashed down.
His hand, which had been wandering over her stomach, now traveled up to her chest.
He playfully fondled Dayoon’s trembling chest, then rubbed his already fully erect member against her. It had been throbbing since he saw her face.
“Ha… What to do?”
He grabbed her hand and firmly guided it to his throbbing member.
Dayoon, wet from the water, was fiercely erotic. He wanted nothing more than to have it thrust inside her immediately.
At the thought, He firmly held her hand, which kept trying to escape from his grip, before licking her fingers and taking them deep into his mouth, savoring the spaces in between. With his other hand, he guided her hand to touch his member over his pants.
Although it wasn’t something she was doing willingly, it felt overwhelmingly good.
“Ha…”
Hyukjun let out a low moan.
With increasing pleasure flooding his brain, his rationality slowly disappeared. He wanted to apologize, confess his feelings, give Dayoon her company back, and start from the beginning. He didn’t come here for this.
But whenever he saw her, his thoughts kept going in this direction.
She was so lovely, how could he not touch her? He didn’t want her to be in anyone else’s hands. He completely abandoned his original plan.
With a woman this lovely, it was dangerous to leave her out in the open.
He wanted to keep touching her and wanted to reach more. He wanted to kiss her lips and hug her. He longed for animal-like behavior that was almost instinctual. Even at that moment, he wanted to touch and feel her this way.
Hyukjun smiled alluringly.
“Touch me.”
He bit on Dayoon’s lobe, licked her cheek, and lightly bit her lips.
“Touch me, Dayoon.”
