Chapter 131: The Attitude of the Elves
Following the silence of Great Elder.
The tavern fell into an awkward silence.
Orina was in a good mood as she greeted Yupanki, who had come back from the backyard.
Asmodeus, who had been lazily curled up in the booth, suddenly sat up.
"Little Alan, do you need me to go next door and bring lunch for everyone?"
His lazy voice sounded from the direction of the booth. The skinny uncle, who looked extremely dispirited, walked unsteadily towards the bar counter
"I want to eat donuts with extra syrup!"
When he heard that it was time to eat, Samael, who had been hiding in front of the arcade, suddenly came to life.
It was only then that Great Elder and Third Elder realized that there was more than one demon lord in the tavern!
The two elders were still in shock.
"I want an apple-flavored checkered cake."
Beelzebub came in through the back door and ordered lunch with Asmodeus. He looked at the elves who appeared out of nowhere in the hall and did not want to interact with them. He followed Yupanki to tidy up the tavern.
"Then I'll leave the lunch to you, Asmodeus. See if you can bring more back. Orina and the others did not eat lunch either."
Alan naturally took over the conversation. Lunch in the tavern had always been taken care of at the snack bar next door. Alan would occasionally choose to cook personally. Everyone already understood each other's preferences.
"Asmodeus, I want a macaron."
After Orina finished speaking, Third Elder's face turned solemn. Ever since his queen came to Rock City, she had been very inappropriate in making friends and her behavior!
"I know, I know. Uncle, I'll be back soon."
After saying that, Asmodeus wandered out of the door again. Ever since he came to the tavern, the people who went to buy food next door had not changed.
That guy was quite good at coaxing women.
"Your majesty!"
Third Elder suddenly roared. Orina was prepared and replied with a face full of indifference.
"I can hear you. There's no need to shout so loudly."
Seeing Orina's attitude, Great Elder could not help but frown.
Alan looked at the rebellious teenage girl in front of him who seemed to have a conflict with her parents. He wanted to say something to appease her, but he did not know where to start.
Alan was very clear about Orina's situation in the elf race from the first day he met her.
"Orina, you're so close to the demons. Have you forgotten your identity?"
Great Elder's expression was solemn as she looked at the young girl who she had raised up. Orina was carrying the future of the elf race on her shoulders. However, Great Elder felt that the current her had become somewhat unfamiliar.
"I..."
Orina's face was filled with dissatisfaction. Just as she was about to open her mouth to refute, Alan stopped her in time.
"Um, everyone, calm down. If you have something to say, say it properly. Don't be angry."
"Great Elder, Third Elder, sit here. I've invented a new wine recently. The menu hasn't been written yet. I'll make it for you to taste now."
Alan persuaded the two of them to sit down at the wine table. He gently tugged on Orina's sleeve and motioned her to come to the bar counter. It was better for everyone to calm down first before discussing the matter.
Abraham had seen everything. He knew that the elves were resentful towards the demon race. However, he still needed their help. He could only try his best to lower his presence and hope that they would agree to help him later.
Orina glanced at Third Elder who was trying hard to suppress her anger and Great Elder who had a cold expression. She sat down at the bar counter, but she didn't look at them as if she was angry with them.
Alan wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and prepared to make a special cocktail for Orina.
Looking at the young man's smooth movements, Orina felt that it was exceptionally pleasing to the eye.
"Zelig, the meaning is happiness."
Alan pushed the prepared cocktail in front of Orina.
Hearing Alan's explanation, Orina's face instantly turned bright, and she looked at the youth with a sweet smile.
Alan's hands did not stop moving, and he continued to prepare the cocktail for the two elven elders.
After the cocktail was prepared, Abraham carried it over.
"Sangria and Strawberry Daiquiri. Alan said that these two cocktails are very suitable for women to drink."
Abraham finished the introduction that Alan had taught him. Ignoring the disgruntled expressions of the two guests, he retreated to the side. This was the attitude of a qualified bartender.
Alan's cocktail made Orina's mood improve greatly. She smiled like a glowing sunshine and sipped the wine in her own cup.
Great Elder and Third Elder were extremely impatient with the demons. However, the wine in front of them was really tempting. Therefore, they temporarily put aside their displeasure towards the demon race and focused on tasting the wine.
Seeing that everyone had finally calmed down, Alan directly asked the three elves about helping the demons.
"Orina, Great Elder, Third Elder has something to discuss with you." Alan said tentatively.
Perhaps because the cocktails tasted pretty good, the two elders were in a much better mood. They just looked at Alan with puzzlement and waited for him to finish his words.
"This matter is about the Abyss..."
The moment Alan mentioned the Abyss, the two elders' faces instantly turned cold. He had never expected that the elf race would be so resistant to the demon race. However, it was a matter of the survival of the demon race, so he had no choice but to force himself to make the request.
"The gray fog in the Abyss is actually the result of the deterioration of the environment. I believe that the two elders are very clear about the dangers of the gray fog. Now, the gray fog has a solution, but it needs the help of the elves."
After saying that, Alan looked at the two elf elders with a face full of expectation.
Great Elder was surprised. He didn't expect that Alan would ask the elf race to help the demon race.
Third Elder's face was full of anger.
"You're saying that you have a way to restrain the gray fog?"
"Not just restrain, we can remove it. It just needs a little time to completely remove the gray fog in the Abyss."
Alan's tone was firm as he corrected Great Elder's question.
Third Elder could not be bothered to be angry when she heard that. During the last great war between gods and demons, that inconspicuous gray fog had caused great trouble to the eight great races. Even after the war ended, no one had a solution. Now, this mysterious youth actually said that he could solve this big trouble?
"Oh right, Rock City was also attacked by the gray fog before, but just a few days ago, we completely removed the gray fog."
Hearing this, the two finally began to seriously consider Alan's offer of help.
Alan attached great importance to clearing away the gray fog. After all, the Abyss was a part of the Hailar Continent, and everyone was responsible for the environmental problems.
"Then what do you mean by needing the help of the elf race? And what benefits do we get from helping the demon race?" Great Elder said calmly.
Alan knew that the two elders in front of him were wavering. He told them in detail about how to deal with the gray fog and led them to the back street, pointing at the trees and shrubs on the side of the road.
"So, we need these plants to deal with the gray fog, and because the elf race has a higher natural compatibility with plants, the demon race needs our help to deal with the gray fog above their heads as soon as possible. Is that so?" After listening to Alan's explanation, Great Elder concluded.
"That's basically what I mean. Plants are a very important part of the problem. The problem of the Abyss has been accumulating for a long time and has long been deeply rooted. We still need to coordinate with a large number of fog cannons and air purifiers to solve the problem as soon as possible."
Great Elder fell silent. Third Elder looked a bit hesitant. She was skeptical of helping the Abyss, but she also felt that it would be beneficial for them to agree.
"Even if you say so, I still don't agree to help the demon race. We can't forget the war 800 years ago."
"I'm the queen. I agree!"
As soon as Third Elder finished speaking, Orina immediately refuted. Alan could finally see that the conflict between Orina and Third Elder was not just because of their manner. The deeper reason was probably the conflict between their opinions.
