Ling Xuan, The Great Prodigy
KNOCK KNOCK
As Ling Xuan and the rest of the participants were resting in the cabin, someone knocked on the door.
“Huh, who ?” Ling Xuan raised an eyebrow at the peculiarity after all the test had already come to an end a long time ago and they were just resting.
“Coming !” Weiyu shouted and opened the door.
CREAK
On the other side was a person whose black hood covered their entire body except the hands which looked crystalline and delicate.
“Here’s the list of individuals who’ll go to the Sects.” Saying such, they gave a stack of files to Weiyu.
“Thanks.” Weiyu spoke and closed the door.
“Alrighty everyone, we got the results !” Weiyu announced to everyone, causing all of them who had rested enough to stand up instantly.
“So let’s begin with our most gifted Ling Xuan !” Weiyu looked towards Ling Xuan as he announced the results.
“You’ve been classified as a Peerless Prodigy and have been selected to go to The Thunder Law Sect ! Congratulations !” Weiyu announced Ling Xuan’s Sect and clapped with everyone following.
Ling Xuan became excited as this was within his expectations from the beginning yet he was still a bit nervous due to his insane talent revealing itself.
“If one of the more stronger sects or even The Xia Family were to choose me I would’ve been in quite a problematic situation.” As far as Ling Xuan could deduce on pre-existing information which he had read in Libraries as well as from The original Ling Xuan, among the 12 Sects only The Divine Sun Sect and The Thunder Law Sect had cultivation techniques that fitted Ling Xuan properly.
The Divine Sun Sect had The Empyrean Solar Yang Refinement Technique which to his knowledge was able to use Qi that is emanated by the Sun to further their cultivation and The Thunder Law Sect possessed The Thunder Visceral Refinement which is thought to be able to refine one’s physique through using Lightning.
The other Great Sects had cultivation which strayed away from refinement of the physique and delved into other arts such as body configuration, weapon mastery, creation of strategies or pills etc. None of these techniques truly fit Ling Xuan who was cultivating his physique and had techniques such as The Potential Transformation Art which revolve around the concept of physique enhancement.
“I don’t have much information about The Royal Family thus the risk factor increases after all The Two Great Forces have been at odds for a long time and if I were in The Xia Family, who knows what the sects would do to my family wait what !” As Ling Xuan was lost in his thoughts an irregularity occurred in his mind.
“Why am I concerned about The Ling Clan ? Can it be the original Ling Xuan’s memories affecting my personality ? No, not possible our fusion meant that both personalities would even each other out resulting in a personality that can do actions without any form of bias. Yet is that true ?” Ling Xuan’s head suddenly started hurting immensely as if someone was pouring boiling water over his brain.
“Aghhhhhhh !” Ling Xuan covered his head hoping that it would lessen the pain yet it didn’t happen.
The pain continued to increase and strange thoughts started appearing in Ling Xuan’s head.
“Why did The Library even allow me to create The Martial Ghost Fang? The Want Generator could’ve been only used once a year”
“Why wasn’t I affected when I killed that prisoner during the 2nd Trial?”
“Why did I accept my transmigration into this world without a second thought?”
Ling Xuan’s mind started getting muddled, his thoughts becoming more chaotic.
“Why, why why why why why why !” Ling Xuan felt his brain was about to burst from the chaos.
Suddenly the chaos went away and everything returned to it’s original state of order.
“Hah Hah Hah.” Ling Xuan gasped for air and looked around when he noticed he wasn't in the cabin anymore.
“Th-This i-is Th-The Library !” Carto’s eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
He hadn’t even used the key word !
“Ah what is there to even be surprised about Carto.” A voice came from behind Carto.
“Who !” Carto swiftly turned around yet was only met with the Computer.
“You !” Carto frowned.
“What did you do to me !” Carto demanded an answer.
“I didn’t do anything Carto.” The Computer swiftly replied.
“Don’t lie, I know you’ve been influencing my emotions.” Carto spoke with narrowed eyes, indeed ever since he had been transmigrated he had been under the control of The Computer only when he was incessantly rambling to himself did he discover this.
“That action was a necessity Carto, you know it if I had not done that you probably would’ve been dead in the first 3 days and two hours.” The Computer replied.
“You were a mere arrogant fool when you first entered this world, openly ignoring warnings like they were dust in front of you, a God.” The Computer berated Carto.
“Yet don’t try to defend yourself Carto even if I influenced you, it was still Carto bloody Harts that was committing murder.” The Computer destroyed any way Carto could relieve himself of murder.
“Do not even think of pinning any form of blame on me, the only thing I did was remove hesitation and nothing else.” The Computer coldly stated.
“Shut up.”
“You were and will be an idiot and fool without me Carto Harts accept that fact.”
“Shut up !”
“You have no freedom Carto Harts nobody has.”
“I said Shut Up ! You bastard !” Carto shouted desperately.
"You boast of freedom and flaunt your arrogance, but deep down, you know the truth of what you really are.”
“Shut Up !” Carto ran towards the Computer and punched it.
BANG !
CRACK !
Carto’s fist shattered the monitor.
“You never thought about your parents only caring what adventures you would have in this world.”
Another attack pierced the monitor and hit the circuits resulting in Carto already bleeding hand to get strangely electrocuted and Carto himself to be thrown back with his back against a shelf.
BANG
“Ahhhh !” Carto screamed in pain as his nerves suddenly started becoming numb.
“Oh Carto don’t make me say it.”
“No, don't.” Carto's eyes widened as he tried to stop it.
“Please don’t I beg you !” Carto went on his knees, anything to not hear those words.
“And here I’m proven correct, you truly are Pathetic.” The Computer wrote it’s words.
Carto’s eyes went blank as he heard it.
