Introduction
The Kingdom of Gridarnia is a vast and rich land that encompasses most of the continent. The land is separated into multiple regions with cold and mountainous passes in the north and warm sunny beaches in the south. A large desert is to the east and deep tall forests envelop the west. The Kingdom of Gridarnia is split into many substates and minor provinces. These areas are ruled by many lords charged with protecting the land and its people. The lords ensure harmony and prosperity continue throughout the lands while under the Great King. King Liam of Gridarnia, has ruled for nearly a hundred years. Although there have been many attempts to overthrow Liam's reign and many regions have tried to succeed or conquer the other lands for themselves, no one has been successful. To the west is the demonic infection. This land has been corrupted and wasted away over many centuries. Demons, ghouls, shades, and other such monsters inhabit what was once the Great Empire of Regalia. To the south is a large island that holds what is left of the Regalian forces. Their people have since blended in with the inhabitants of Gridarnia. Magic is everywhere and through harnessing a substance known as mana, a person is able to perform feats never thought of in any other part of the world. There are many different types of monsters and creatures that roam the continent such as Goblins, trolls and orcs as well as humans, elves and dwarves. Magical beasts such as dragons, griffins, slimes, and the undead are also here. Our story revolves around the eleventh region in the southeast of the continent. To the south is the ocean and the coast where fishing and trade once flourished, a small mountain range divides the center with many prairies and forested areas for wildlife to roam. Many rivers and streams split and fork into ponds and lakes as they flow from the northwestern part of the region to the ocean in the south. A large desert encompasses the east. In the center of this land pressed up against a mountainside is the Goldenleaf village. The Maxwell river flows to the east of the walled city and many farmlands grow to the west. Through a series of unsettling circumstances, two young men in their early 30's are given the title Lord and Vice Lord of The Goldenleaf Village and are charged with rebuilding and protecting its citizens.
