Tales of Death´s Daughter

Chapter 2.196

First, it was a hand, gripping onto the edge the portal. It was something I definitely didn’t want to see as it drove my emotions into turmoil. Worry, sadness, a bit of hope, hatred and love.

All these emotions were present as all of us watched Aska step out of the portal slowly, a smile on his face. Our gazes locked right away and wouldn’t break up at all.

“My Lord, it is a pleasure to see you.” The demon king fell on his knees right away, while Hannah peeled the twins of me and slowly backed away.

But Aska paid no heed to any of that. The young man went through his hairs with his fingers and strolled towards me slowly.

We didn’t say anything. There was no need to after all. I abhorred him for coming to this world, that was for sure. And yet, I couldn’t stop loving him as well.

He stopped right in front of me, looking down with emotions completely hidden and leaned downwards. While I laid my arms down on his shoulders, he grabbed my sides gently.

“I missed you.” He admitted quietly as if doing so would hurt his pride. I did miss him too, but my wish was honestly to see him under another set of stars than what we had.

“I missed you too.” I went on my toes and kissed his rather soft lips right away. Desire crept into my heart, especially as he pulled me closer to him and he started kissing me demandingly. I felt myself wanting more of him, but at the same time, I didn’t want to see Hannah how Aska fucked me.

As such, I pushed him away as soon as I had high hopes he was thirsting for more as well and smiled bitterly.

“Why are you here, Aska?” I asked breathing roughly. His hands were still attempting to pull me closer,  but mine on his chest had the upper hand.

“For you and your freedom.” He revealed, which was honestly a rather non-saying answer. Sighing quietly, I freed myself of his embrace, stretched my army and strolled past him towards the portal.

“Where are you going?” He asked rather suspiciously of my intention. But honestly? They were pure.

“Home. Aska. Home. Are you coming or what?” I asked back, but stopped as soon as I heard Hannah’s gargling. Turning my head in anger, I saw how she was getting chocked by him and bit my lower lip.

“Is that so? Or do you rather want me as far away as possible?” That was sadly on point. I knew he would murder Hannah if I gave him a chance and I certainly didn’t want that.

“You can have me, alright? And at home, I’ll have all the freedom I could want, isn’t it? So there is no reason to hurt her, or anyone else on this planet.” I said and squinted my eyes a little.

“Right …” He let go of Hannah slowly who directly held her throat in pain. Then, he snipped his fingers and closed the portal behind me right away, giving me no clear way out of this. “… but I also promised this king here I would help him with his freedom, since you weren’t willing to invite me onto this world.”

“It was an honour to be of service. If I may ask, how do you plan to kill the other gods?”

“Origin gods cannot be killed, my friend. Murdering the god of fire is equal to extinguishing all flames in the galaxy. Now, we don’t want that, do we?”

“I … I did everything I could! I collected the bones of a dead goddess, I bought the saint to this place …” Oh? So I was the one who was lured into this place? If the missing part of the key was really me … no, it had to be. The portal only opened up as I was in there for a certain amount of time. If he didn’t need me, he would have started way earlier. But thanks to the water tunnel, I disregarded that possibility, which may have been Aska’s plan all along.

“I will stop the other gods from observing you and your kind, I did promise that. And Lucinda here will help with that.” Aska said and strolled towards me.

“I’m … I’m a little bit confused. I thought she was the enemy?” That was before this idiot got the god of death onto this planet. After that, there was hardly any reason for me to fight Aska, especially because I was bound to lose. Manipulating him in the other hand was a far more preferable approach.

“Todays enemies are tomorrow’s friends. Even though my dear doesn’t agree yet, she will do so eventually.” He said, grabbed my right hand and looked into my eyes. And then, for the first time in hundreds of years, he took off my ring with ease. I was pretty sure that was for his pride more than anything else, but it did draw a smile upon his lips as the ring melted in his hands.

“That was unnecessary.” There was still a minuscule chance I could use it for my own benefit. But I understood why he did it as well. His own girl being married to another man must have … hurt his pride by quite a bit.

“Still … Monde, please bring the three woman to your castle via teleportation. It seems to be possible now that my attack destroyed all the barriers shielding off this dungeon. I do not wish for any of them to be hurt.”

“… as you wish, Milord. Teleport.” And gone they were. Flung to space to a place I couldn’t reach on my own. I wasn’t stuck on that island, but it was pretty close to it. He just had to destroy that boat and I would be done for.

“Lucinda … I know that you hate me for coming here. But there is a reason, and I want to show it to you.”

“Like you have shown the fake personality I had before you erased all of my memories.”

“These memories were fake and harmful to your development. And it is true I didn’t show her anything … because I could make her believe whatever I wanted. But I cannot do that to you anymore, so let me show you for real this time.” He extended his hand towards me once more, but this time I stepped back.

“You will undoubtedly lie. Your words have no truth in them, just like mine don’t. And even though we both know the other really well, we cannot find out when we lie to each other. It’s a paradox and yet it is the truth. If you expect me to believe anything you say, you are mistaken.”

“I am here because I want you back, Lucinda. You were surrounded by your so called friends the whole time and suppressed all these feelings we have for each other. You have attempted multiple times to sate your thirst for a family you can love unconditionally, but I didn’t have that luxury. Each time you go, my family splits apart.” My slap on his cheek was the hardest one I had given him yet. I had given everything I had in this one and smiled a little as he held his red cheek in anger.

“I will never see you as my father and I will never marry you. We aren’t a family.” I claimed, a bit unhappily about doing so.

“You don’t want me as your father because that would mean you would inevitably rape your own child someday. You wish for a happy family life, and yet I can tell you that you are far too broken for that. And you also don’t want to marry me because you don’t want to chain yourself to anyone. You are twisted, Lucinda. I am your family.” He explained and hugged me closely. Especially the last sentence made my heart jump with joy. He was the one I spent most of my time with and even though I hated the fact he groomed me into becoming his perfect life partner, it was still true that we were the perfect fit for each other … if we weren’t busy with fighting each other to death that is.

“Maybe you are … but I cannot accept you as my father.” Never in my life could I do that. It would mean admitting that my whole existence was one of his whims and I hated the thought of that.

“That’s fine by me.” He said and pulled me closer into a deep and long kiss. And then, he pushed me over to the table slowly while caressing every inch of my back. With my butt then on the table, we kissed each other for several minutes until we started catching up the time we had been separated.

But for the first time in my life, there was no thought in the back of my head that I was doing it with my own father, but rather with the man I saw myself spending an eternity with.

He had came here to get his family back … and I had no intention of denying him that wish. Hopefully, he would leave the others alone like this.
