Feng Xue wanted to say something to Madam Feng, but she had already walked out of the room in a dash, leaving Snowy and Feng Xue in an awkward atmosphere.

"Anyway, you look perturbed, Snowy. Care to share it with me?" Feng Xue was the first one who broke the silence.

"Un."

Snowy told her what happened after she bond with Myriad Flame Golden Cauldron, from the last moment of Alchemy Goddess to the change in Heaven Plane. She told her the whole story without omitting anything.

Feng Xue showed a complicated expression after listening to Snowy's story.

"Fuuuh…. It's getting crazier and crazier," Feng Xue heaved a big sigh before she spoke, "So, in a nutshell, the old man was a former big-shot who got kicked by another big shot that was apparently trying to get his hand in our realm. And, there are also some ugly beasts which wanted to make our home their playground. Yeah, crazy indeed."

"Un," replied Snowy

"Do you think they will attack us again?" inquire Feng Xue.

"I believe so. They won't give up with just that failure. And something about the current Heavenly Court makes me somehow uneasy. I think there's something big going on here," stated Snowy.

"Are they our enemy?"

"I'm not sure yet, but given the time of the upheaval in Heaven Plane and what happened to my previous host, the likelihood is high."

"It looks like we're still underestimating the danger and getting complacent. If it's true that the current Heavenly Court is in cahoots with our enemy, our future will be more arduous than we anticipated."

Feng Xue was disappointed in herself for being carried away after knowing Snowy's real identity and receiving the Old Man's peerless creation.

She would have made a grave mistake if she hadn't been slapped by the reality of the situation today.

But, Feng Xue would no longer be Feng Xue if she felt depressed over one or two mistakes. She quickly bounced back, her eyes filled with determination.

Snowy couldn't help but feel uneasy when she saw Feng Xue was still stubborn despite knowing that the opponent was mighty. A strong urge to stop Feng Xue surfaced from the depths of her heart.

What if something happened to Feng Xue like her previous hosts?

What if the fact that Feng Family was close to her will someday become a boomerang for them?

If she hadn't met Feng Xue, wouldn't she live peacefully in Phoenix City like the princess she was?

Following this logic, Snowy looked at Feng Xue with reluctant and said,

"Xue, it's okay if you decide to stay here in the Eastern Continent peacefully. In the first place, you shouldn't have involved in this matter; simply because you met me and somehow we got closer, you will put yourself in unnecessary danger in your life. And not only you, but Mom and the whole Feng Family will felt the repercussion. You don't have to feel sorry for me. It's my mission and my mission alone, so-"

Snowy's eyes widen, and her words came to stop when she felt a soft and sweet sensation on her lips.

Feng Xue suddenly kissed her out of the blue.

Snowy felt very flustered and wanted to escape Feng Xue's clutch, but after feeling her hand tightly gripped by Feng Xue and seeing a trace of anger in Feng Xue's gaze, Snowy lost all will to resist.

After a minute or so, Feng Xue separated herself from Snowy and stared at Snowy's eyes squarely.

"I dare you to continue your nonsense! What are you thinking of me? Do you take me for a coward?!" shout Feng Xue at Snowy, her voice tremble.

"I… I'm sorry… Xue… I only… I don't want you and the Feng Family facing danger because of me... I'm afraid of losing you… I'm afraid of losing this warmth…" tear trickled from Snowy's eyes, descending over her cheek like a drizzle.

A pang of guilt hit Feng Xue as she saw Snowy sobbing in front of her.

After getting some of her memories back, Snowy's emotional state became more unstable; a slight change in her emotion could greatly affect her.

She felt like slamming her head against the wall after her previous outburst.

"It's okay, Snowy. I'm not going anywhere. You're overwhelmed by your emotion; you need to calm down. Remember what the Old Man said? Don't let your emotions control you…" said Feng Xue softly to coax Snowy.

Snowy gradually regained her composure; a faint smile appeared on her lips as she looked at Feng Xue, "Un. Thank you, Xue… I feel a lot better."

"Good, good." A big grin plastered on Feng Xue's face, "Maybe you've heard it a thousand times before, but I had to say it again. Snowy, you are certainly more beautiful when you smile."

Snowy looked down to hide her blushing face and didn't reply to Feng Xue's teasing.

Feng Xue didn't mind Snowy's shyness and continued,

"But, you've mistaken one thing, Snowy. I don't tread on this path solely because of you. I dream and aspire to see this world from the summit and look down on all beings. Don't you remember my bloodline? I won't be shackled by the Earth and won't fear the Heaven, for I am the Phoenix who soar over the nine firmaments!"

"And who better to accompany my journey than a former assistant of many god and goddesses who possess a cheat-level knowledge and heaven-defying talent, as well as a former goddess with an out-of-this-world beauty?"

"Un." Snowy nodded, approving Feng Xue's ambition.

"So, don't ever mention leaving me behind again, okay? Even if I die and become a ghost, I'll keep haunting you, hehe…" said Feng Xue coyly.

"No, I won't let anything happen to you, Xue. That's why I want to give you this," Snowy took a jade slip, and a blue light entered it.

Due to the old man's creation, your True Fire Qi, and your improving attainment in Phoenix Dao, your golden core mutated into a unique type of core called elemental core."

"Having elemental core with fire affinity, the fire soul seed will fuse with your golden core. And then, when you break through to the Nascent Soul stage, the fire soul will assimilate with your nascent soul forming an elemental soul with a fire affinity. This will make it much easier for you to complete the second portion of Divine Phoenix Scripture."

"Please, it will make you stronger, Xue."

"Urgh, fine, fine. You won't stop to pester me if I don't accept it, will you?"

Feng Xue really couldn't reject Snowy's offer when she heard it would be a tremendous help for her to get stronger and also would not conflicting with her current cultivation method.

Before Feng Xue could finish her sentence, a playful voice intruded on their flirting time.

"Rong Hua, you annoying rabbit!" Feng Xue snapped as she recognized the owner of the voice.

"Oh my, I have such a goo- no, bad timing, sorry~~" said Rong Hua, acting cute.

"Why are you so late?" asked Snowy, who had moved from Feng Xue's lap to her side.

"When I stroll at the city, I found something interesting, so I lost track of time," replied Rong Hua.

Snowy and Feng Xue exchanged a glance; they felt a sudden headache. When Rong Hua found something interesting, it spelled trouble for them.

Having realized the two girls' thought, Rong Hua smiled bitterly, "Don't worry, I won't make trouble for you two."
