Summoned to Another World, but as the Final Boss

(4.) Power Testing.

After claiming the blade, we returned back to my castle, where I explained to the other 6 of my subordinates the decision to not invade the Kingdom of Evelia. They all were obviously shocked to learn this and wished to in now whether I had been brainwashed or something to come to such a decision. Now of course, I denied this, as the Demon King of Sins is unable to get hypnotized noir mind controlled — chuck that up to one of his bs immunities that he has. Now I of course also told them about me claiming the Sacred Blade of Hope, which almost every single one of them to praise me for my 'power' and how 'nothing less should be expected of the Demon King of Sins'. After being showered in praise and admiration, I left them all in the throne room and headed back to my own bedroom - Yes, the Demon King of Sins, has his own luxurious bedroom.

However, the last thing I actually remember doing, is standing alone ontop of the castle for several hours last night, just admiring the Sacred Blade of Hope that was in possession.

Just like almost everything else in this world, seeing it in person was a whole different thing compared to seeing a flat 2D image of it. It looked gorgeous and the energy pulsing through it — even though it couldn't be infused with my body due to my nature as the Demon King of Sins, I had figured that perhaps if I had a gauntlet or something absorb that power for me and then allow me to utilise it, I could get around this obstacle. I pitched the idea to the blacksmith in the castle, who also happened to be one of my 7 closest subordinates. Y'know, the ones who were present in the hall when I first arrived to this world and awakened within this body. Yeah, he's one of those. And when I pitched the idea of a gauntlet or something like that which played that type of function, he was thrilled to get started on it almost immediately and even stated that he'd ensure to have it in my possession as soon as possible - which, knowing what I know about him from the game, would be 2 days at most.

Sooo...

I guess the only thing left to do is—

2

days

later. . .

I was far out into the Dark Lands, as far away from the castle as possible, while also all alone. There was only one thing I wanted to do right now at this moment — it's to "test" or more accurately 'try out' the Demon King power that I hold now. Mainly because I have no idea how to use it noir am I confident in doing what the Demon King could do in the games main story. I mean — in the game, he quite literally created a giant storm above a battlefied to rain down lightning on his enemies - which if you ask me is a feat of power. Knowing this, I decided that if I want to get used to the Demon King power and actually take on enemies, I have to practice using this power as much as possible so I can maintain the Tyrant image in the eyes of others. That being said.... I also had no clue how to activate any of the powers.

I had no clue how to use magic, how to use the magic items in my possession - I knew basically nothing, so I had to start by figuring how to use everything first. Which is partly the reason why I came all the way out here, so far into the Dark Lands territory. I do NOT want to accidentally cause panic within the castle by using my powers near it and showing that I obviously have little to no control over them all. To be clear, I doubt that anyone from the Demon Castle would be scared upon seeing my power, since they most likely have all seen it before — however, I am scared of showing that I potentially have no control over it at all, since that could easily ruin my image as a tyrant and make them all question whether or not I was actually the Demon King of Sins that they were familiar with. Which is the LAST thing I need - my own subordinates turning on me.

Even if I am immune to basically everything.

Anyways—

I've been blabbering for too long. Time to get to the actual point of me even coming all the way out here. Time to start testing out magic and other abilities of mine. I looked around before finding a suitable target - which in this case was a boulder not too far away. The boulder was black in colour and seemed to be covered in ashes — a pretty perfect target if you ask me. Now then... In the game it simply showed the Demon King doing an action, such as raising his arm above his head or extending it in front of himself, before casting a spell. Which if I take that for a basis, could mean that realistically all I have to do is... Well, what he did. I thought about a spell to try and cast, before settling on casting one of the most basic spells that the Demon King surely would be able to cast - 'Lightning'. That shouldn't be hard, right?

I extended my arm out infront of me, before 'closing' my eyes and focusing on something. I wasn't sure what I was focusing on, however it had to be something to cast a spell. However, after standing there for a couple of moments like an idiot, I simply exhaled and decided to just say the spells name.

"Lightning."

I said. For a couple of moments, it was nothing and I was about to try something else, when suddenly a magic circle appeared in the palm of my hand, before light blue light shot from it and towards the boulder, hitting it and destroying around 1/4 of it. I simply stared at it in perplexed, before looking down at my right hand. It — ...worked. I did it - I cast a spell. That was so easy... All I had to do is say it's name. No - wait, there was more to it. I tried to focus on something back there but wasn't sure what to focus on, and yet after I said the spells name, I could feel some sort of energy flowing through me. That must have been magic I felt flowing through my body, before the spell was cast. But if that is the case, why did nothing happen when I tried to feel it earlier via what I would assume to be the manual way. I thought about it for a moment or two, before looking down at my left hand. It had two rings on it, one on the index finger and one on the ring finger.

I think I remember what is going on now. The Demon King of Sins possess a lot of very high grade and powerful magic items or artifacts, which make him even more powerful. One of these items that I remember, was a ring which allowed in the game, the protagonist could also obtain. If I remember correctly, it was called the 'Ring of Handling' which in game allowed you to cast spells without needing to worry about the 'prep' time or something which was required before the spell could be cast. In short, prep time was basically a delay between the spell being cast and you clicking it. In the lore, it was explained that this prep time was the need for wizards and sorcerers to focus on the magic inside them and use it to cast spells by pushing it out of their bodies. So I guess that's why I tried to focus on something back there for a second... But it didn't work. The 'Ring of Handling' would most likely act as a way to automatically handle magic energy without needing to focus on it, which in return would allow me in this scenario...

"...To cast spells without needing to worry about focusing my magic."

I stated to myself, before 'smirking'. Well, if that was the case, this testing is going to be fun. I looked back towards the same boulder, before extending my right hand out to it once more. Last time I used a basic spell, so I suppose this time I'll be more daring. Time to use one of the Demon Kings most used spells during his fights.

"Black Lightning."

I said, before a magic circle appeared in my hand once more. Then, a massive pitch black lightning bolt fired off towards the boulder, colliding with it and pulverising it in an instant. I simply shed a slightly cold sweat upon witnessing this. Holy shit... This was one of the common spells the Demon King used during the game so I thought it wouldn't be all that powerful and yet... That shit was so strong as to pulverise a whole boulder within an instant. Now THAT is what I call strong. But I'm sure I can do better... I looked around, searching for another target, before locking my eyes onto another, only this time, bigger boulder which was a bit further away. Turning towards it, I decided to try out a different spell. Raising my right arm up into the air, I simply exhaled before looking at it with shining eyes.

"Black Thunder."

I said, before a massive magic circle appeared right above me. Then, pitch black clouds began to gather right above the boulder, spinning in a spiral above it, creating a sort of 'vortex' in the sky. Then, lightning flashed within the clouds, before multiple beams of the same black lightning, only more powerful were sent down towards the boulder, completely pulverising it again, while also causing mass damage on the area around it. Honestly, it had looked like that area was bombed by modern day missiles or something. It was NOT a super pretty sight. After the spell concluded, the sky returned to normal before I switched to the next spell. Over the course of the next 2 hours, I tested and tried out every spell and magic ability I could remember from the game - everything from the basic fireball, all the way to the way over the top 'Hell Storm'. The area around me had looked completely different as the ground was levelled a bit, everything around me was scorched and overall it looked like god himself had a rage fit across this area. Gotta say, even I couldn't help but feel a little terrified upon seeing a scenery like this. I mean, this was me who caused it and yet... It looked like several nuclear bombs had been dropped around here.

However, I wasn't done yet, as there was one more thing I wanted to try. You see — the Hero was given the Sacred Blade of Hope to use against the Demon King of Sins when they needed it, which they managed to use in order to severely injure Avis Virtiosa in the past. However, as learned about in the DLC and the main story, after that injury, the Demon King wasn't going to take any more chances and did something the gods believed was impossible. He used his power, combined with the corpse of a God he managed to slay during the struggle for the Dark Lands, to forge himself his own blade, which would act as a direct rival to the Sacred Blade of Hope. A sword - which would represent the opposite.

This sword... Was the Demon Kings ace up his sleeve, even if it was just another magic item that he possessed. It was called - 'The Demon Blade of Despair'. I reached my right hand out, before opening up a sort of portal made from dark red and black goo or something. Then, I reached my hand into it, before pulling out the sword slowly, holding tightly onto its handle. After a couple of moments, I pulled it out and revealed the blade in all its glory.

Just like with the Sacred Blade of Hope, the Demon Blade of Despair was much, much more impressive looking in person compared to a flat image that was seen in game whenever he used it in battle. It was a blade like no other - and yet, at the same time looked quite similar to a lot of other 'Demon Blades' that other fantasy media and stories would have. The blade was pitch black in colour and looked to have been made from 'dragon' scales, with 9 dragon heads going from the handle and onto the blade itself, which was a completely dark red colour, with this pitch black, vein-like pattern on it. The blade also had this powerful aura that came from it while also having a lot of energy pulsing all through it, which I managed to feel completely through my whole body. It felt... Powerful.

"Now then... Let's see what you can do."

I noted to myself, before looking around, looking for another target to strike. However, the area around me was so desimated by my previous attacks, that there genuinely wasn't anything within a 500 metres radius of me. Guess I had gone a little overboard with my earlier tests of spells. Right when I was about to place the blade back where I had found it, I heard a loud roar in the sky, before bright light shined through the clouds. Looking up, I saw a giant pure white dragon dash down towards me and then past me, before flying up high and flipping around, looking at me before roaring again. That dragon looked like a 'White Dragon', a species of dragon that in-game would eventually become known as the Heroes dragons, as they were unable to be controlled by the Demon King of Sins.

They were also known to have a massive resistance to magic, making them almost immune to it. Well, this was perfect — I was looking for a target to take out with this sword and a target simply came to me like that. What a good coincidence. I simply 'smirked' to myself, before turning to face the dragon, who roared once more and dashed towards me at full speed, looking like it was about to attempt to swallow me or something. I simply took a stance with the sword. It was strange - despite me never having wielded a sword before, it felt like I had hundreds of not thousands of years of experience with a sword. It was almost like my body already knew how to use a sword to its absolute maximum potential — and even beyond that. That must have been the Demon Kings experience that the body had, which meant that I would in return have that experience subconsciously.

As the Dragon approached me with high speed and velocity, I simply swung the Demon Blade behind me, before slashing at the dragon stopping it just a metre away from me. Then, the dragon glowed before its body split into two and fell to the ground, before erupting into black flames, which completely removed the corpse. I shed a slight sweat — Jesus Christ, this sword was powerful. Guess I should expect no less of a blade forged with the power of the Demon King of Sins and the body of a fallen god... I simply created the same strange portal as before infront of me on the ground, before placing the blade into it. Then, the sword sunk into it moments later, before the portal closed again. Well, I was done with my tests — I had practically tried out every spell I could remember from the game and I had also tried out the Demon Blade that was the Demon King of Sins main weapon. A pretty successful day of testing if you ask me. Now of course... I had left this whole area in shambles, having made it look like it was bombed with the sun itself or something — which was a fancy way of describing the massive damage I had caused.

'One thing is for sure... I don't have to worry about my power or skill. However, I should probably be careful with how I use my power.'

I thought, scratching my chin, before exhaling heavily and turning around. I then tapped the ground lightly with my foot, causing a shadow to fire out from mine and then form into a silhouette infront of me, before clearing up and revealing a giant beast with horns and crystals around its body. The beast also had 6 legs while its body was absolutely huge. This — was a Earth Dragon. More specifically, a Shadow Earth Dragon. They were also known as 'Shadow Beasts' by the masses. They're power was a bit less than that of actual dragons, however they were incredible and traversing rough and uneven terrain and were basically the best form on transport on ground. I walked up to the beast, before patting it lightly on its head, the beast growling or something at me, before embracing my patting and closing its eyes. Afterwards, I hopped onto its back before grabbing a hold of the pitch black pole on its back, causing black chains to materialise on the poles sides and then onto the beasts horns on the sides of its mouth.

"Come on my friend, lets go home."

I stated, before whipping the chains and causing the beast to roar, before flipping around and beginning to run back in the direction of the Demon Castle. Tests had been done for today and I had to return to the castle before any of my subordinates, especially Emily, began to worry about my whereabouts and potentially come looking for me. I do NOT want them to see the destruction I had caused back in that area, as they may misinterpret that as me having been angry and unleashing it in that area.

After I returned to the castle, I immediately went to see the blacksmith, who had finished the gauntlet I had asked for. The gauntlet was high quality and if I had to estimate, most likely of a very high grade - potentially legendary grade even. It also seemed to have multiple materials which in the lore I would assume were good at conducting energy and power. The blacksmith did explain how it all worked to me, however I only really understood around 70% of it, so I had decided to ask him to accompany me tomorrow to a dungeon or something where I could try out the gauntlet with the Sacred Blade. The blacksmith had agreed and we agreed on a time, before I left him alone.

Now, I was back in my bedroom, laying in bed. The outfit I was wearing right now was a heavy robe, which reminded me a lot of those washer robes or something back from my old world. You know, those robes people put on after a bath or when going into a bath. Yeah - that kind of robe, but much more... Dense I suppose.

It also looked extremely luxurious — which would take some getting used to. Well... I guess not really actually, considering it was the 3rd night now that I was wearing this robe to go to bed. I stared at the bedrooms ceiling, just thinking back to my life before. I still didn't understand how or why I got transported here — even less why I got transported as the final boss of an otome game that was feared as a tyrant — however one thing I did understand is that, this was a permanent thing. I tried researching about a way to move across worlds and what not using the resources inside the Demon Castle — in other words, all the books and records I could find, however in not a single one of them, did I find any useful information. Due to this, I was pretty confident that it was safe to assume that I was going to live here permanently now and had no way to return, which in a way — made me miss my old life. I never got a chance to say goodbye to my family or even my.... Girlfriend. That's right — Utaha Tsuji... I never got the chance to say goodbye to her. Man, I had a great life back there and yet here I am in a completely different world with possibly no way to go back.

A part of me suddenly ached - almost like a heart ache upon realisation of this fact. Everyone I knew I was probably never going to see again... Everyone I loved I was probably never going to see again... Is this why most isekai stories that I heard people talk about back in my original life had the person getting isekai'd someone who was already a sort of lost cause? Aka lonely as fuck?

....Isekai sucks. Not because it screwed me over, but because it means I won't ever see my loved ones again. I simply continued to stare at the ceiling for a couple of moments, before exhaling and closing my eyes, drifting off to sleep seconds later.

Meanwhile...

In the Dragon Capital.

Drevarn: "The Tyrant of Demons agreed to cancel the invasion... For now.."

Drevarn notes to himself while walking through the long hallway inside his castle. The hallway was decorated mostly like a cave, with stalagmites hanging from the ceiling and draconic elements all around the place.

Drevarn: "However, that hasn't solved anything in the long run. Who knows how long it'll be before he changes his mind."

The Dragon-blood King commented to himself, before entering a room located at the end of the hallway. Inside, he walked forward a bit, before kneeling down before a giant throne. The Dragon-blood King kept his head low, and remained as still as possible. Then, a massive exhale came from the throne.

Drevarn: "Saint, I have news. The Tyrant of Demons has agreed to cancel his invasion. However, I am unsure how long it'll be before he changes his mind again."

Drevarn stated loudly. The individual hidden by shadow growled before letting a breath lose. Then, the sound of scales brushing and almost breaking filled the room, before a human like individual stepped forward from the shadows. Upon coming out into the light, a beautiful figure of a woman was revealed — dressed in golden and black robes which had a golden pattern on it. Accomodating the robes, the woman had gold accessories such as rings on all of her fingers and a large necklace on her neck, which had the form of a dragon head. Lastly, the woman had long flowing golden hair, with dragon like scales on her skin and a diadem on her head. She opened her eyes, revealing a pair of bright gold eyes which stared down at Drevarn.

?: "Good. Now then, secure me a meeting with the Demon King."

Drevarn: "As you wish, Saint."

Drevarn replied instantly, before rising to his feet and quickly leaving the room. The woman waited for a few moments before exhaling in relief and then dropping to her knees.

?: 'Man is it hard to play the role of an ice cold queen... Guess I am not as good at acting as I thought. But that's besides the point — the Demon King actually agreed to cancel the invasion? That isn't what happened in the game at all... Could it be?'

She thought for a bit, before exhaling and getting back up to her feet. Then, she turned back around before walking back to the shadow hidden throne.

?: 'Guess I'll see when I meet him.'
