Chapter 159: Realization
"Fuck, I will just hope I Survive this!" Sol hurriedly conjured the sun ice to block the green goo but rather than making a barrier, he conjured an ice crystal around his body.
The ice started to freeze the surrounding water while trapping Sol inside, he wanted to protect himself from touching the red water as it was mixed with hydra blood.
Hydra blood could kill a demigod with a single touch, luckily it had been diluted in the water and only a little touch his body, he could survive by cutting his both that had been poisoned.
"The last time I lost half my body, I promised I would not want to be in such a scenario again but that hydra blood was so painful that I would rather feel that again and heal myself than feeling the pain it caused," he lamented as he waited for the green goo to touch the crystal.
The green goo impacted the ice crystal that it sent the Sol and the crystal bursting away from the area covered in red water.
"Nice!" he thought but it did not last long as the goo started to eat away at the ice covering his body.
He did not want to know what would happen to him if the goo touched him, Sol used his conjuring ability to manipulate the ice and break open a way for him to get out.
The moment he got out, he could see the hydra was swimming toward him, it emerged from the area covered in red water.
It was so fast that he could only reach with his extraordinary reflex, he tried to go into the limit-break state once again but it was too late, once of the snake already about to bite at him.
Once again Sol conjured the sun ice around his body, it encased him in an ice crystal to block the snake's maw.
The hydra bites down and the ice cracks from the top to bottom, the crack starts to spread as the snake bite harder.
Sol did not wait for the ice to break and directly went into the limit-break state, once the ice shattered, he jumped out of the snake's mouth.
He barely gets out but another snakehead was already waiting for him, it entwined its body around him, trapping him between its long body.
He could feel the pressure breaking his bone while making him unable to move, he tried to use his strength to escape but he was not able to overcome the hydra's strong body.
He could only look as the hydra's heads were looking at him, all around him were the snake's head, on one side he could see a snake body without a head but what made his despair was it already regenerated half of the lost snakehead.
It was only a few minutes and the hydra almost healed to its top form already, Sol was barely able to behead on the head but his hard work was already going vanish.
"Is this the end?" he lamented as the hydra's head opened its mouth to threaten him.
He was hoping for a miracle that the hydra's heads would fight each other for a piece of him just like in movies where each head has its own thoughts but no such thing happened.
One of the snakeheads opened its mouth and bit him from the shoulder up, pain coursing through his body as he was separated from most of his body and getting swallowed by it.
The Hydra's saliva was burning him so that he could not regenerate the rest of his body, "Ahh..." he screamed in pain.
He could feel death was about to come and claim him when he decided to risk his life once more since he would die if he stayed like that.
Lightning and ice fog around his body fade as he comes out of the limit-break mode, his body burns so fast that he could not even sense how much of him was left.
"I'm dying," he thought as he tried his best to stay conscious, Sol tried to conjure his missing body part but he didn't even know how much he needed to heal.
"Fuck it! I will just conjure everything!" he thought as he replaced every part of himself, it only lasted for a second before his body started to burn once again.
Sol conjured the sun ice to cover his body once more and soon he got trapped in a block of ice, he tried his best to conjure as much sun ice as possible as the snake's body fluid was melting the ice at a rapid pace.
Rather than making it big enough for him to behead the snake once more, Sol kept it small but enough for him to be safe from the burning saliva.
He stayed there to think a way out of the mess, "there is nothing I could do, even if I behead one the head, I'm not strong enough to kill each of them before they healed."
Even the limit-break that he always relied on could not help him beat the hydra, "Even if I stock up more knife aura, it will not help me kill the hydra," he lamented.
Killing a major demi-titan was far and difficult, the higher the rank the wider the distance, he could not overcome the difference with his usual ability.
After twenty minutes of thought, he came to a conclusion, "I was relying on the limit-break too much, the ability isn't omnipotent," he only survived the fight because of his other ability.
"The limit-break is only one of my abilities, rather than making it the core of my strength, I should have made it as one pillar of my strength, combined with my conjuring abilities," he realized.
"If only I'm strong enough," he thought as he was as fast as the hydra but he was outnumbered, out-sized, and overpowered.
"Speed should increase my attack strength but I'm just too small compared to the hydra, I could barely hurt it!" he lamented.
Suddenly he got a wild idea, "I will push all my conjuring ability to the limit!"
For three hours, Sol stayed inside the hydra while accumulating knife aura, it already exceeded the amount his body could contain so he kept most of it in his armament for the time being.
"This should be enough," he thought as he moved to the next part of his plan.
He used his healing dome ability to the limit but rather than conjuring creatures he used it to heal his body and break them at the same time.
His body started to grow bigger as he conjured more bone and muscle, "I will make my body stronger and bigger so I can take the hydra!" he screamed as the process of making his body bigger was very painful.
Every cell in his body was breaking before being replaced by more cells, he got so big that he started to stretch the snake's body.
Sol absorbed the knife aura that he kept in his armament to buff himself but he did not stop and made his body even bigger and conjured more aura as his giant body could keep more of them.
The hydra who was sleeping under the lake suddenly had one of its head ballooned before exploding into bloody gore.
Sol, whose body grew to a fifty-meter giant emerge from it, quickly conjured a full-body ice armor so the poisonous blood would not touch him.
A little blood already touches him but his giant size allows him to survive it and replace the poisoned cell with a new one.
He did not wait for the other head to react as he conjured two giant swords on both of his arms and swung them to the snakeheads.
He could only feel pain as his giant body was a basically uncountable number of cancer cells that kept increasing in number but he did not mind them as he raises both of his swords and butchered the four nearest snakeheads before they could react.
Being left with only four heads, the hydra did not run but kept fighting, each head entwined on his limbs trying to stop his movement and bite at his body trying to inject their venom into his body.
Sol savagely used both of his swords while overpowering the snake that held them down, he cut both of his legs with the snakehead that entwined them.
He fell forward but he did not stop moving, he flipped his sword toward himself so the handle touched the ground, with that he fell on top of the sword, it cut both of his arms and the remaining snakehead clean off.
With no more enemy to fight, he could finally put all the pain crashing to him, poisons had got into his bloodstream from the stump of his limbs.
"..." his mind was empty from all the pain, he was moving fully on automatic as he ruthlessly butchered the hydra and himself.
"Sol! Sol! Answer me!" Nai's voice resounded in his mind but it got no response.
If he did not do anything then he would die from all the poison and unstable body.
