Chapter 73: Section 73 - Tour Guide
After a round of psychological consultations for everyone was already done, the psychological counselor, who didn't play by the rules of Jianghu, actually used hypnotism; naturally, the consultation process was something no one wanted to recall.
When they heard Manager Hanna's explanation, the faces of everyone at Aircrew Base 911 went pale, no one wishing to drag out the darkest, most shameful part of their memories for another round of social death.
But living shamefully was better than dying a good death, and compared to being squashed into a pulp by a Giant Dragon, it wasn't entirely unacceptable.
That Metallic Dragon named Yilan, looking innocent and carefree, was clearly a Grim Reaper lying in wait, ready to burst forth and claim lives at any moment.
If anyone truly treated the Dragon of Slaughter as an innocent, carefree creature, their graves would likely be grown over with grass three feet tall.
"Not again!"
The Scavenger squad's cute, soft girl was dumbfounded, her eyes immediately misting over.
The others had similarly dark expressions on their faces.
Chen Fei, who hadn't had his most embarrassing memories exposed, naturally couldn't empathize, and with a dumbfounded face, he asked, "What's wrong with you guys?"
Chekhov Big Bear: "..."
Chief mechanic Xiao Ming: "..."
Human resources director Takar: "..."
Everyone with terrible memories stirred up stared at the kid with their eyes, as if to say being silent doesn't mean you're mute.
Little friend Chen Fei: "..."
"Now I need a list, please keep yourselves in a relaxed and happy mood."
The wave of spiritual power from Illusion Dragon Clodia released once again, and without a word, everyone could hear its "voice," as if it resounded directly in their minds.
Chen Fei remained clueless; Yilan the Metallic Dragon was just as befuddled.
The Psychic Illusion Dragon was used to communicating via spiritual power; if it didn't open its mouth, then there was nothing the other human and dragon could do.
"Here is the list!"
Executive Manager Hanna Gagel immediately handed over the pre-prepared list.
The team from Apocalypse Defense Group led by Psychological Counselor Li Bai coming to Aircrew Base 911 was like a dress rehearsal, and now they were just following the recipe and doing it one more time.
Spirit swept over the document, memorizing all the details, and Illusion Dragon Clodia officially started its task.
"Now, number one, please come to me!"
"Auntie Clodia, what about me? What can I do, am I in charge of severe torture?" Discover exclusive content at m,v l'e|m-p y r
The female Metallic Dragon Yilan swished her tail, the sharp tip of her tail smashing a shocking hole into the ground.
The people of Aircrew Base 911 collectively broke into sweat! Heavy sweat!! Waterfall sweat!!!
What kind of torture was this?
Being hit by that was certain death, a near-miss a brush with oblivion, a casual light strike enough to send one to meet King Yama.
Sure enough! No good comes from a visitor of ill intent, and this Metallic Dragon was up to no good.
The Psychic Illusion Dragon immediately complained: "Don't call me auntie. I'm not a thousand years old yet. Just like you, I'm underage; you should call me Sister Clodia!"
The Metallic Dragon Yilan said puzzledly: "But you are more than thirty times older than me!"
Illusion Dragon Clodia carelessly replied: "So what? The Dragon Clan needs a thousand years to be considered an adult. Auntie is a title that doesn't include the underage."
Yilan the Metallic Dragon said grumpily: "Alright then, sister Clodia!"
"That works too!"
Psychic Illusion Dragon Clodia was momentarily taken aback but then delighted, as if she had suddenly grown hundreds of years younger.
Underage dragons only needed to worry about eating, drinking, and merry-making daily. Once they reached adulthood, they would have to take on various responsibilities for their clan.
Clodia, who would come of age in a few years, had started her adult internship early to prepare for her official duties and thus became the emissary tasked with this diplomatic mission to Blue Star's Aircrew Base 911, responsible for investigating the disappearance of Metal Dragon Bit's Heart Core.
"So I'm free to do as I like now?"
The female Metallic Dragon, Yilan, slowly backed away, looking eager to try.
The thirty-year-old young dragon was at an age when playfulness was her nature. If it weren't for the diplomatic mission she remembered, she might have already gone wild with fun.
Being a Giant Dragon on the verge of adulthood, Clodia seriously instructed, "Don't wander more than 20 kilometers from me, don't just eat anything, and make sure to keep your satellite tracking on!"
She feared that in the blink of an eye, this little Metallic Dragon would be out of her hands.
Since this mission was diplomatic in nature and not likely to face attacks, if anyone dared to be so bold, not only would the Dragon Clan not tolerate it, even the Silan Dynasty would step in.
Given that safety was assured, Clodia's main concern was whether Yilan could control her appetite.
After all, apart from their fondness for slaughter and combat, Metallic Dragons were also notorious for their gluttony. It would have been okay if their diet consisted only of meat, vegetables, grains, and flour, but Metallic Dragons especially liked to eat metals.
This could cause tremendous destruction to the Blue Star human civilization, which was built on metal smelting and processing technologies.
"I will definitely keep my mouth in check."
The female Metallic Dragon, Yilan, gazed at the mountain-high stacks of standard containers nearby, swallowing her saliva and vowing, though her tone unavoidably carried a hint of insincerity.
"It would be best if you could assign someone to follow Yilan and keep an eye on her!"
Clodia felt quite the headache over this.
"A Leopard can't change its spots," they say, and this was true for Metallic Dragons.
"Chen Fei!"
Manager Hanna Gagel of the Aircrew Base called out to Chen Fei, who was nervously shrinking back amongst the crowd.
"Manager Hanna, is there something you need?"
Chen Fei was completely unaware of the spiritual power message that the Psychic Giant Dragon had sent to Manager Hanna.
"There's a task right now—the Metallic Giant Dragon needs a guide."
The executive manager chose a more diplomatic phrase.
"Me?!"
Chen Fei heard the subtext and pointed at himself tentatively.
"Yes, you! You're a Metal Ability User, maybe you have something in common with the Metallic Giant Dragons!"
Hanna Gagel nodded decisively.
"Can I refuse?"
Chen Fei wore a sorrowful expression; he felt it was his bad luck being asked, as he already had a psychological shadow cast by that Metallic Giant Dragon.
Furthermore, his Metal Elemental Psychic Power had nothing in common with the Metallic Dragons at all—they were completely unrelated!
Supernatural power users were a special product of Blue Star, while the Dragon Race hailed from Cangqiong Star.
"Ten thousand Star Yuan a day!"
Manager Hanna held up an index finger.
"Deal!"
Chen Fei eagerly agreed, as he noticed several of Takar's countrymen, even including one of the two head chefs from the canteen and the packaging removal head chef Singh, also showing an eager expression.
He had almost forgotten that these guys were almost as opportunistic as cockroaches, each one more interested in money than life itself.
Seeing Chen Fei promptly agree, Takar's fellow countrymen were all grinding their teeth in resentment.
Especially Sanjani, who had once competed with Chen Fei for a spot in the "Genuine Fragrance" squadron, his sallow face nearly twisted with jealousy.
While ten thousand Star Yuan wasn't a huge sum, it certainly wasn't an amount to be casually dismissed either.
