Chapter 89: Please Help...
"Wait, that's not what is important now." Oso suddenly recalled something as he quickly grabbed Pael on his shoulder taking him by surprise. After which, he lifted him up and then threw him inside the dome of darkness. Since Pael was a thin man, it was rather easy for Oso to throw him away.
"What... Waaahhhh!" Pael couldn't help but fly into the dome of darkness as he cursed Oso in his heart. What the hell was this? He'd just arrived and something like this would happen to him? But what else could he do? He was now inside the pitch-black darkness as he didn't even know where would he land.
"Hurry and remove the paralysis status effect on our leader! He really needs your help right now!" Oso shouted while Pael was still in the midair. Oso was just thankful that Pael came at the right time. With that, there might even be a chance to save their leader.
Only then did Pael notice the mana of their leader somewhere in that dark place. Not only that, but he also noticed the presence of someone else besides their leader. Was he the vessel that their leader was talking about? From the looks of it, it was highly likely. But... Why couldn't he feel any Greed Energy from that person at all? Was this just a false alarm?
But knowing that their leader was desperately asking for help so as for his paralysis to be removed, Pael chased away all the distractive thoughts in mind as he didn't waste any more time. He then raised his hand forward as he gritted his teeth. He only needed to touch their leader to cancel the status effect and the job would be done once he used his active skill: Cleanse, a skill that could remove almost every type of status effect. Fortunately, Oso threw him right directly at the position of their leader. Only a few more seconds and their leader would definitely be saved. "Leader, just hang on there, I will definitely save you..."
Salpok!
But contrary to his expectation, he didn't land directly to their leader but instead, he found his head bumping into something hard resulting in his limbs twitching uncontrollably before he fell onto the ground.
Pael tried his hardest to raise his head to see what had just happened and to his surprise, he saw light around him. He blinked multiple times to see if he wasn't dreaming but the light was still there. And it seemed like this light came from the railings just in front of him.
Pael then pushed himself from the ground and then looked around him to see clearly but to his shock, the thing he thought was a railing, was actually a cage as he found himself inside of it. What the hell? Pael suddenly gained strength as he immediately stood up from the ground and ran to grab the glowing bar. Wasn't this the skill of Oso: Perfect Cage? Why did he suddenly end up inside of it? Did Oso purposely throw him inside? That bastard was surely daring! How could he trick him when their leader was in desperation?! How despicable!
On the other hand, Julius wanted to slap his face seeing that his last thread of hope had finally vanished. There were only less than thirty seconds left before the paralysis wore off and here they were, couldn't even do anything more other than to let the vessel do anything to them as he pleased. He even felt that the vessel was just playing around with them as he purposely dragged the time till now to give them false hope.
What a pity... To think that his journey would end just like this. But if fate really wanted this for him, then what else a mere human like him could do? If this was what the heavens wanted for him, then he had no choice but to accept it. Sigh, just what the hell was the use of free will anyway...
No! Julius suddenly gained an unshakable determination gathering in his eyes as he refused to believe that fate controls his life and choices. There must be a way out of this! Right, there must be! Only 20 seconds left... Just what should he do to buy more time...
Meanwhile, seeing that he had caught the incoming reinforcement, Sakim heaved a sigh of relief inwardly. It was as if he was catching a cockroach using a bowl. If not for the help of his moth telling him the distance and speed of the incoming cockroach, then this cockroach might have slipped away and gone directly to their leader. Who knew what would happen next if this cockroach really slipped away.
"Now then," Seeing that the time was running, Sakim went beside the bandit's leader as he crouched down. He retrieved the Blood Manipulator Pill from his Inventory, ready to feed the other party at any moment.
Seeing the other party slowly reaching his hand towards his mouth, Julius swallowed a mouthful of saliva as cold sweats were dripping from his face. "Only 15 seconds left... Please anyone, just this once, help m..."
Swoosh!
At that moment, however, when desperation was the only thing that was left in Julius' heart, a very strong gust of wind suddenly appeared, forming a small dome of furious wind that surrounded him.
Sakim was taken by surprise. He was being pushed back quite a distance from the strong wind before he fell with his ass on the ground. What now? What on earth was that? Sakim couldn't get what was going on but before he could get even more confused, a disappointed voice suddenly echoed in the area.
"You are already this desperate and here you are, still so stubborn and not calling me."
It was a cold voice of a lady. Sakim squinted his eyes as he saw a figure of a small human-like creature levitating just above the body of Julius. Its size was just about one feet and its body was quite slim. Its green hair was tied into a drill hair flowing down to its shoulder.
Surrounding the little creature was something like a liquid glowing in green, forming a spiral shape around its little body. Some kind of strange but suppressive energy was leaking out from it as Sakim felt the suppression.
"S-sintia..." Julius was surprised as he muttered weakly. But not long after that, he suddenly frowned. So with a hint of anger in his tone of voice, he continued, "Why the hell did you come out? I didn't summon you."
