Revenge pact

Silent Rage (2)

Adonis relentlessly approached his opponent, hoping to overwhelm him with a flurry of frightening blows.

The first-year's first attack was a terrifying body hook, driving towards Fabianus's rib cage.

WHOOSH

Reacting swiftly, Fabianus held out his hand, halting the first-year's fist.

SLAP

Destroying Adonis's hopes of executing a melee combination, Fabianus launched his foot at Adonis's calf.

Although his barrage was interrupted, he continued to showcasee his incredible reflexes by lifting the targeted leg and checking the kick, effectively neutralizing the threat.

Still employing the same leg, Fabianus threw a roundhouse kick at Adonis's abdomen with skillful grace.

WHOOSH

Unbothered by Fabianus's aggression, Adonis lifted his arm and expertly caught Fabianus's leg. Without wasting a single breath, Adonis countered the second year's attack by flinging his own leg at the one Fabianus used to stand, disrupting his balance.

'He caught it?' Impressed by Adonis's martial prowess, Fabianus lifted the targeted leg and sliced through the still air, connecting with the side of Adonis's head.

BAM

A large stream of blood ran down the side of Adonis's head as he staggered back, his vision being blurred by a combination of the blinding crimson liquid as well as his uncontrollable anger.

"Yeah!"

"I say you kill him Fabianus!"

"Teach that first-year a lesson."

Witnessing his friend being hurt and hearing the cheers of the upperclassmen forced Maxwell to relive the events of the previous day. The familiar overwhelming helplessness washed over him once more, and the wounds covering his body throbbed in response.

BADUMP

"Donny..." He sobbed.

'I should help him.' Despite being desperate to help his friend, Maxwell was rendered completely useless as he was overcome by fear.

Ignoring the cheering of the second-years and the spirits that constantly watched him Adonis raised his hand and wiped the blood that obscured his vision.

"Are you finally going to explain to me why you attacked me?" Fabianus asked.

"You hurt Max...That is why you will die." Adonis said flatly before removing his hand from his head.

DUMMM

The vast layer of Earthly Aura that surrounded Adonis thickened, its form continuously shifing in response to the anger he refused to suppress.

The boy's Earthly Aura spread throughout the classroom, the wooden desks and floorboards folding and cracking under the pressure.

CRACK

SHATTER

Although the damage remained minimal, it served as a testament to the powerful spiritual force he exerted.

Resuming with the battle, Adonis took a few brisk steps forward, deleting the short distance between him and Fabianus.

Satisfied with the minimal distance between him and Fabianus, Adonis shot a jab at his opponent's head, beginning his terrifying barrage.

'What is with that energy?!' Slighlty offput by Adonis's Aura, Fabianus tilted his head to the side, successfully dodging his opponent's attack.

WHOOSH

Using the same arm, Adonis heaved a left hook at Fabianus's displaced head.

'This kid might actually kill me.' Now recognizing Adonis as a genuine threat, Fabianus lowered his head, ducking the attack by a terrifyningly small margin.

WHOOSH

"..." Adonis opened his left hand and plummeted a chop attack, descending rapidly toward the crown of Fabianus's head.

'He's really fast.' Moving purely instinctually, Fabianus took a swift step to the side.

WHOOSH

Refusing to remain passive, Fabianus launched an uppercut towards Adonis's chin, the attack carrying enough force to knock the first-year out upon contact.

"?!"

Acknowleding the attack's threat, Adonis used his hand to nudge Fabianus's fist slightly off course, deflecting the punch away from his chin.

Stealing back the initiative, Adonis enveloped his entire fist in Earthly Aura, causing it to vibrate slightly and emit a subtle blue glow.

DUMMMM

After fully lathering his fist in the violent Aura, Adonis thrust it forward, shattering Fabianus's guard completely and pushing him back toward the classroom's window.

BAM

'I got carele-' Fabianus's eyes widened in astonishment and his arms throbbed wildly from the impact.

Disrupting Fabianus's thought process, Adonis drove his foot into the second-year's chest.

BAM

CRACK

The force slightly fractured Fabianus's sternum, causing him to crash through the window and break through the walls.

SHATTER

CRASH

Fabianus was forced to exit the classroom unconventually, plummeting toward the stone path outside.

"What?!"

"No way!"

"Is Fabianus seriously going to lose to a first year?!"

"Donny?" Snapped out of his daze, Maxwell's mouth dropped to the floor.

"I'm not done..." Adonis stood by the broken wall and window, lowering his head as he watched the second-year descend. His dull silver eyes pierced through Fabianus's entire being, delving deep into his very soul.

Despite the pulsating in his chest, Fabianus twisted his body and landed on the stone path safely.

The second-year's landing caused dozens of stone slabs to shatter and he created a small crater beneath his feet, evidence of the height of his fall.

THUD

SHATTER

'I need to actually take this seriously... Or that kid's actually going to kill me.' Fabianus raised his head, looking up at the large building. His yellow eyes locked onto the teenage boy who stared down at him.

DUMMM

Fabianus extended his hand and used the silver ring on his finger to summon a sharp gladius.

'Why does he have a spatial ring on school grounds?' Maxwell wondered.

"Oh no, that first year's done it now."

"Yeah, poor kid. Now he's actually going to die."

"Well, he was the one who attacked first."

"Yeah, he totally deserves it."

Ready to begin the next round of their fight, Adonis leaped out the large hole in the wall, plummeting toward Fabianus.

THUD

DUMMMM

"What's that sound?"

"So much Aura?!"

"Looks like a fight!"

"Wait isn't that..."

Their curiousity piqued by the commotion, the students in the lower classrooms eagerly opened their classroom curtains and windows to watch the unfolding battle.

"Are you sure you want to do this kid?" Fabianus pointed his blade at Adonis, a solemn expression etched on his face.

"..." Adonis ignored his upperclassman's concern and dashed forward, shattering the stone tiles beneath his feet.

SHATTER

Embracing Adonis's bloodlust, Fabianus took a couple of strides forward to meet the boy.

Capitalizing on the longer reach granted by his blade, Fabianus swung the gladius vertically.

SHING

Frustrated by his opponent's reach advantage, Adonis stepped to the side.

Fully commited to killing the first-year, Fabianus sliced through the air once more, although this time he did so diagonally.

SHING

Adonis crouched down and twisted his body, skillfully dodging the steel sword.

Relentlessly assaulting the first-year, Fabianus channeled Earthly Aura into his blade and swung it horizontally.

DUMMMM

SHING

Surprised by the sudden surge in speed and malice, Adonis leaped into the air, raising his knees towards his chest.

WHOOSH

"That's a mistake kid..." Fabianus muttered.

From the comfort of the sky, Adonis lunged his fist downward, aiming for the top of Fabianus's skull.

"Ice Magic: Glacial Stake."

Utilizing the magic circle above Adonis, Fabianus conjured a sharp icicle that shot out with overwhelming speed, threatening to pierce through Adonis's back.

"Hm?" Sensing the rise in mana, Adonis turned his head toward the descending icicle.

Adding to the life-threatening assault, Fabianus thrust his gladius upwards, aiming directly for Adonis's skull.

"It's over kid... There's no where to run."

"Shut up..." Adonis whispered.

Concluding it was impossible to avoid damage entirely, Adonis chose to minimize lethal injuries.

Midair, he twisted his body to prevent the icicle from piercing through his back, causing it to impale his left shoulder instead.

SPLURT

Simultaneously, he jerked his head to the side, allowing the steel blade to slice his cheek, creating a deep wound on his perfect face.

SLICE

"This is ove-"

Cutting Fabianus off mid-sentence, Adonis swiftly swung his leg at the second-year's head, connecting perfectly with the side of his skull and sending him staggering backwards.

BAM

***

"So that's why he was in such a hurry." Flora took a large bite out of the green apple in her hand as she curiously watched the battle.

"Does he seriously think he can beat a second-year?" Julia asked, biting into a large sandwhich.

"Crazy bastard." Toni chuckled.

"You better not die Grape, I still haven't fought you yet." Luna scowled.

***

'He'll eventually die from bloodloss or fatigue.' Fabianus rubbed his head painfully.

Despite the injuries he had sustained midair, Adonis managed to land gracefully, barely making a sound as his leather shoes made contact with the stone path.

"We're not done..." Not even taking the time to acknowledge his injuries, Adonis dashed forward, aiming to defeat his stunned opponent immediately with a swift uppercut.

WHOOSH

Maintaining his composure despite the pain in his head, Fabianus swiftly weaved past the attack and swung his blade horizontally.

SHING

Unwilling to be wounded by the blade again, Adonis leaned back, avoiding being cut and immideately countered.

The first-year swung his leg toward Fabianus's thigh, hoping to force him to buckle over.

Fabianus moved nimbly and took a large step backward, succesfully avoiding damage.

Unbothered by the ease in which his attack was evaded, Adonis lathered his entire hand in a thick layer of Earthly Aura, stealing a substantial amount of the blue veil that surrounded him.

DUMMMM

"What is this?" Almost losing his composure, Fabianus raised his gladius towards his chest to block the upcoming attack.

'Supreme Devil Art: Unarmed Variation...'

"Assidious Assault."

Adonis thrust his fist forward and tore through the air, heading straight for the second-year's blade.

Upon contact, Fabianus's blade yielded under the overwhelming force behind Adonis's attack.

SHATTER

Although, the first-year's assault didn't merely stopped there, it continued on its path till it met the second-year's sternum, breaking it upon contact and sending him flying backwards.

CRACK

WHOOSH

"Argh!" Blood escaped Fabianus's mouth as he unwillingly flew backward.

'What was that technique?!'

***

"..." Jerald remained silent while he watched the battle from the classrom.

"Even when we were in the forest, he didn't fight like this." Veda said.

"What's wrong with Vindicta." Remembering the scene of Adonis being soaked in blood, Vera shuddered.

'It's like that time...'

***

Determined to finish the fight immediately, Adonis pursued Fabianus, coating his fists in Earthly Aura once more.

Fabianus extended his hands forward, summoning a small magic circle to help defend against Adonis's onslaught.

"Ice magic: Chilling Bullets."

Fabianus ejected several ice bullets toward his eager opponent, each individual attack being coated in its own share of Earthly Aura.

Adonis accelerated his pace, relentlessly pursuing the second-year who continued to fly backwards. In response to the ice bullets, he moved his head side to side, dodging each individual bullet with ease.

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

With every passing moment, the runes on the magic circle shifted, its complexity gradually increasing.

"Ice Magic: Piercing Ram!"

When Adonis was finally too close for comfort, Fabianus shot a large sharp pillar of ice out of the magic circle, aiming directly at Adonis's chest.

"Shit." Adonis's high velocity worked against him, preventing him from changing direction to evade the blow.

Unable to dodge or break the pillar, Adonis coated his hands in Earthly Aura and held them out in front of his chest, hoping to prevent the pillar from piercing right through him.

SPLURT

"Argh!" The ice pillar cut Adonis's hands, pushing him backward as he struggled to prevent it from cutting right through his hands and impaling him through the chest.

WHOOSH

The force behind the blow propelled Adonis backward, slamming him into the outside wall of Class 1D.

"..."

***

"Do you think he's going to lose?" Marie voiced her concern.

'Since when did she care about HIM?'

"I mean, he is fighting against a second-year." Hiding his jealousy, Tarzy responded with his honest opinion.

"I doubt so, he hasn't used magic yet." Amber analyzed, her golden eyes investigating Adonis's everymove.

"He'll win." Lutz said flatly.
