In the beginning

The next period, Worship
"I'm surprised you're still awake." Adonis turned to Luna, displaying genuine astonishment.
"I slept for two days straight, I couldn't even if I wanted to." She sighed, staring blankly at the professor who wrote a single sentence on the board.
In the beginning.
"In the beginning, there was nothing but one being, an entity that existed in a sea of nothingness.... This being is what we commonly call the Titan." Professor Shine, a dark-skinned middle-aged man with a full head of platinum hair, spoke with enthusiasm as he paced around the classroom, clutching a large leather-bound book in his hand.
"It is often believed that the Titan lived since the beginning of time in said sea of nothingness, and after living alone for so long, it became bored, so it created lesser beings that would keep it entertained and teach it to love. "
"These beings it created were called the Greator Gods and Greater Devils."
"The Gods were born from the Titan's heart while the Devils came from its brain."
'Is that true?' Adonis asked curiously.
{How would I know?}
"These Deities were all born at the same time but their level of authority and power were different."
"The Roman Gods, those we worship were... Jupiter, God of Thunder; Neptune, God of the Sea and Pluto, God of the Dead. "
"There were several other types of Gods, some with overlapping Domains, such as Zeus who was also the God of Thunder."
"Excuse me sir, Why do you say Zeus was the God of Thunder. What happened to him?" Flora asked.
{Kukuku... I shoved his lightning bolt up his ass.}
"Unfortunately in the war against the Devil God Eos, Zeus lost his life." Professor Shine replied solemnly.
"This isn't something this is uncommon, as you will learn later on, there were many Gods and Devils who lost their lives in wars, whether it was against the Titan, amongst themselves or even against the Devil God." Professor Shine continued.
"More on the birth of the Gods, there were eighteen in the beginning, three Roman, Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Japanese and Chinese Gods; all of which lived peacefully. "
"And the Devils?" Toni asked.
"Good question, I haven't forgotten about them..."
"Like the Gods, the initial devils were also categorized into these categories and there were also three of which..."
"Although the intial Roman and Greek Greater Devils have all been eradicated from various wars so we know little about them."
"It might be hard to believe, but at first, the Greater Gods, Greater Devils and the Titan all lived peacefully together. "
"During this era of peace, the these Deities created the realm of the living.."
"You will learn more about the history of the world, during history lesson; in this lesson we're focusing more on the Deities' role as well as our gratitude toward them."
After Professor Shine finished explaining 'The beginning.' Adonis quickly lost interested and opted to simply converse with the Devil God.
'Lord Eos, I'm curious... We are often told that Jupiter is the strongest Deity. Is that true?'
{I've already said this before, that idiot would be lucky to be top ten.}
'Hm... Then who is the current strongest three?'
{Hmmm... There're all weaklings.} After a long hard think the Devil God answered honestly.
'Could you be serious for once?' Adonis sighed.
{I am, they're all pathetically weak.}
'Nevermind.' Adonis rolled his eyes.

Next period, History
"Roughly six thousand years ago, that was when humanity began. This era is what we call the Dawn, humanity's earliest and most primitive period."
"Although there is nothing documented about the Dawn Era, there are things that we know for a fact: Firstly, there was no mana and therefore no magic, magic beasts or monsters."
"The Dawn is what most people refer to as the happiest humanity's ever been because of the absense of any type of technology, lack of weapons and one singular tribe that lived on one singular continent."
'It could also be called the happiest time because there were no politics or Gods intervening... No secrets.' Adonis furrowed his brows.
{True...}
"After the Dawn Era, four thousand five hundred years ago, the Great Migration began. A period that people often call the beginning of curiosity."
"As you might've guessed, this was when humanity began going their seperate ways and birthing several different tribes."
"Psst..."
"Hm?" Turning his head to the side, Adonis redirected his gaze on Luna.
"I'm bored." Luna whispered.
"So?"
"Entertain me."
"How the hell am I supposed to entertain you?"
"Let's fight."
"We're in class..." Adonis frowned.
"So? Fight me right now."
"Luna I'm not going to fight you!"
"You two! You're disrupting my class. Get out!"
"Huh?"
"Every day! It's either you're sleeping or disrupting, clearly you don't care about my lesson. So get out!"
'She's always getting Vindicta in trouble.' Vera stared daggers at Luna.
"Pfft..." Suppressing a wild chuckle, Maxwell stared at Adonis.
"Gladly!" Luna chuckled, strolling towards the door.
Hanging his head, Adonis slowly walked towards the door.
"Hurry up!"
After shooting Professor Arminius and Maxwell a glare, Adonis exited the classroom.
"Good, now we can fight!" Luna grinned.
"Did you do this on purpose?!" Adonis scowled.
"Nope, but it sure was convinient. C'mon let's go!" Forcefully pulling Adonis along with her, Luna walked down the corridor.
"Where're we going?"
"We can't just stand around for the whole lesson, that's too boring!"
"How many times do I have to say it, I won't fight you!"
"Yeah yeah whatever, I got that." Luna dismissed, still tugging the boy's arm.
"Then where're we going?"
"Just shut up grape!"
Luna lead Adonis to a large room near the edge of the academic block, bustling with activity, where many professors, instructers and assistants were casually dining, engaging in lively conversations.
"What're we doing here?" Adonis asked.
"Shhh, you're being loud!" Luna whispered shoving Adonis's head backwards so that he wasn't seen.
'You're being louder.' Adonis sighed.
"So why are we here." He repeated in a more hushed tone.
"We're at the staff room..." Luna replied, her eyes fixed on a white table near the back of the room.
"I see that, why're we here?"
"Do you always ask this many questions?" Luna clicked her tongue.
"Only when someone drags me through the hallways."
"Okay... You see that table right there?" She pointed.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Look what's on it dumbass."
"Food?"
"Not just any food. The best food the Empire has to offer! While we have to pay extreme prices for basic snacks, the teachers get to enjoy these delicasies and get paid! Don't you think that's unfair?"
"The prices ARE insane..." Adonis agreed.
{Cheapskate.}
"So what? There's nothing we can do about it." Adonis shrugged.
"That's what they think." Luna chuckled.
'I don't like that look.'
"Then what are you going to do?" Adonis asked reluctantly.
"The only thing we can do... We're going to steal their food!" She grinned.
"We? Who's we?"
"You and I, duh."
'When did I agree to help you?!'
{C'mon Oizys, do it I'm bored.}
'My life isn't for your entertainment!'
{It is.}
"Okay? Let's go!" Luna grinned, determined to barge into staffroom and steal their food.
"Wait!" Using his arm to forcefully stop Luna from walking straight through the door, Adonis frowned.
"What? You scared?" She grinned mischeviously.
'Such childish taunts won't persuade me. ' Adonis rolled his eyes.
{Kukuku... You're such a scaredy cat.}
'I am not a scardey cat!'
"We can't just barge in there, we need a plan." Adonis frowned.
"A plan? That's boring!"
"Well, if you want this to work we need to be quick and precise."
"Whatever...What's the plan then?"
'She's listening to me?' Shaking off his astonishment, Adonis put his hand to his chin and thought.
"We need a distraction." He concluded.
"Easy enough, I'll distract them. You steal the food!" Gathering her mana in her palm, Luna grinned.
"No." Adonis snatched her hand and shook his head.
"They're all seasoned magic knights, we have no chance in stealing it with such a simple distraction much less not get caught."
"You're the one who said we needed a distraction." She scowled.
"I'll distract them, when I give you the signal you steal it. Okay?"
"Okay." She sighed.
{What're you going to do? Just because you're stronger than her doesn't mean you're still not a mere bug.}
'Thanks for reminding me.'
'The academy uses a complex magic security system that goes off when it senses any sort of threat, the entrance of magic beasts or monster that poses a threat, the emergence of a substantial magic circle or at the detection of Damons or Elves.'
{So what? You're going to use Wicked Aura just to steal some food?}
'Nope that'd be dumb.'
{Wouldn't be your first time being dumb.}
'Funny...'

2 minutes later
DONG DONG DONG DONG
Near the bathroom door, Adonis and Luna observed as the scene unfolded: every single staff member hurriedly streamed out of the staffroom, their faces straightened in anticipation in response to the alarm echoing through the Academy.
"That's your signal... What're you waiting for?" Adonis grinned.
