Revenge pact

Five minutes

GROWL

With clenched fists, Adonis readied himself for battle, his determination evident.

He decided there was no need to stain his blade once more.

DUMMM

Exerting a small wave of Earthly Aura, Adonis dashed forward, prepared to display his overwhelming might to the magic beasts that dared to challenge him.

BAM

Engaging all five White Rank beasts simultaneously, Adonis unleashed his first strike upon an unfortunate creature obstructing his way.

With a powerful punch, he landed a sharp cross on the beast's head, reducing it to nothing but a crimson paste.

SPLATTER

Witnessing their comrade reduced to a headless body, the beasts shuddered in horror. Their insatiable hunger faded, replaced by an overwhelming sense of fear.

"Don't change your mind now... I gave you your chance earlier."

"Now you die." Tears streamed down Adonis's pale cheeks as he confronted the whimpering beasts. His silver eyes, once sharp and lively, were now dulled and filled with a bloodlust that seemed insatiable.

Despite the beasts taking slow, fearful steps backward, Adonis surged forward with unwavering determination, intent on tearing them apart.

Realizing they had no other option, the beasts leapt forward simultaneously, jaws agape and claws outstretched.

GROWL

BAM

Adonis swiftly employed his leg, delivering a sharp kick that cleanly severed the head of a sonic wolf from its shoulders, paying no heed to the state of his armour now drenched in crimson.

Undeterred by the shower of metallic blood, Adonis pressed on. Another beast, attempting to sink its powerful jaws into his throat, found Adonis unflinching.

With unyielding resolve, he thrust his strong fingers into the beast's throat and exhaled, employing his muscles to pull in opposite directions, effectively ripping the beast's head apart.

RIP

SPLURT

Without pausing to mourn its fallen comrade, the magic beast charged forward, pouncing with its claws aimed to impale Adonis's leather breastplate.

AWOOOO

When the beast was just three meters away from Adonis, it unleashed a terrifying wave from its mouth, hurtling forward at a devastating speed, aimed straight for his chest.

"You're next." His fist throbbing from the collision with the wolf's Sonic Howl, Adonis cast a glance at the last remaining wolf, which cowered in fear.

The moment their eyes met, it turned and dashed away shamelessly, driven solely by the instinct of self-preservation.

{Aren't you going to spare it?}

"Once you start something, you have to finish it... Beast or not." He said coldly.

Adonis leapt forward, covering the distance effortlessly, and found himself right next to the whimpering beast. Seizing the moment, he struck with precision.

Employing his left leg, Adonis unleashed a chilling kick aimed at the beast's vulnerable underbelly. The impact was devastating; upon landing, the beast ruptured as if it were a mere piñata, succumbing to his powerful strike.

SPLURT

Acknowledging he had successfully vanquished every single Sonic Wolf, Adonis exhaled sharply, his eyes focusing on a nearby tree.

"Minnie."

PUPUPUP PUPUPUP

"Ksk Ksk."

"Collect, the magic crystals... You may eat as many as you want."

"Ksk Ksk."

Following a brief aerial dance of celebration, Adonis' pet soared towards the corpses of the Sonic wolves, skillfully retrieving the white translucent magic crystals.

***

In a forest teeming with various monsters and magic beasts, Adonis P. Vindicta stood as the sole predator, his prowess and ferocity unmatched by any other creature in the vicinity.

***

Approximately 4km away from Adonis.

After sprinting a great distance, the large group found a suitable hiding spot within a maze of large shrubs, each member carefully controlling their breathing to reduce the chances of being found.

"This is boring," Luna complained, her eyes fixing on the large green-haired youth who patrolled the forest meticulously, scouring every nook and cranny alongside his comrades.

'They'll find us soon, there's no point staying passive.' Feeling slightly sobered up from the effects of the toxic mixture, Lutz turned his head to face Maxwell who was crouched on his right.

"You." The gears in his head clicking comfortably, Lutz called out the magic knight on his right.

'I have a name y'know.'

"Yeah?" Motivated by the gravity of the situation, Maxwell chose not to address the blonde noble's rudeness. Instead, he listened intently to what Lutz had to say.

"How long do your metal objects last?"

"How long do they last? Well, I guess it depends on how much mana I want to use, the size of it, and how complex it may be."

"Makes sense... If I asked you to conjure a rapier, would you be able to do it?"

"Seems easy enough." Prompted by the sudden realization of Lutz's intentions, a smile manifested itself on the boy's face.

"Okay, give me a few minutes..." In response to Lutz's request, Maxwell opened his palm and summoned a small magic circle. Utilizing this magic circle, Maxwell conjured a long metal rod, precisely matching the dimensions provided by the fellow rising star.

"Metal Magic: Vulcan's Creation." He whispered.

'It's blunt.' Grasping the blunt rapier, Lutz studied it intently, his cyan eyes scanning for imperfections while absorbing its abnormal balance.

"It'll only last about ten minutes," Maxwell whispered.

"This'll take five..." Disregarding their initial plan, Lutz dashed forward, leaving the hiding spot without any concern for giving away their location.

RUSTLE

"Me too! A gladius!" Taking cues from Lutz's bold move but motivated by primal instincts, Luna who sat next to Amber grinned mischievously.

"Metal Magic: Vulcan's Creation." He sighed.

"What!?" Alarmed by the sudden movement beside her, Amber scowled as she realized Lutz had vanished without a trace.

"Let him sacrifice himself if he wants..." Tarzy shrugged, redirecting his attention back toward the princess who lay sleeping on his lap.

"Vindicta..." Hearing the word sacrifice, Vera frowned.

"Sacrifice? Oh please..." Scoffing at the ridiculous insinuation, Lutz dashed forward toward Carl.

'I refuse to die till I've done IT.'

"Lutz!" Snapping his head backwards, his gaze locking onto Lutz's, Carl grinned, eager to eliminate the new challenger.

Lutz's emergence compelled all three spies to direct their attention towards him.

However, before the fight could escalate into a 3-on-1 situation, Luna and Amber swiftly emerged, with Luna engaging Leaf and Amber confronting Jessie.

CLANG

"Luna, I expected this from you... But you Lutz?" Blunt Gladius in hand, Amber clashed with Jessie, the sharp sound of metal reverberating through the forest as their weapons met.

CLANG

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" A similar situation unfolded between Leaf and Luna. Luna scowled, her irritation palpable, as she faced off against her opponent.

***

Ignoring the effects of the venom and poison pumping through his veins, Lutz launched an attack.

His blunt rapier, enshrouded in a blue aura, Lutz thrust toward the spy's leather breastplate, aiming to rip apart the magic knight's armor.

Unwilling to yield to Lutz's might, Carl countered passively; he took a large stride backwards, evading the blow entirely.

Extending his hand, he gathered mana in his right palm as he brought his hand toward the string of his Norse bow.

Conjuring an arrow made of water and drawing his bow, Carl narrowed his eyes, aiming for the middle of Lutz's forehead.

"Water Magic: Thirsty Huntsman!" Enshrouding the steel strings on his large bow in Earthly Aura, Carl let go, shooting a missile of an arrow to pierce through the air.

ZOOM

Scowling at the dire situation, Lutz acted swiftly. Tilting his neck at the last possible moment, he narrowly avoided the arrow.

However, Carl wasn't left unrewarded for his efforts, as the arrow grazed the left side of Lutz's forehead, leaving a shallow wound.

SPLURT

"Shit!"

Encouraged by his successful blow, Carl furthered his initiative; Taking a few more steps backwards to gain more space between them.

Conjuring two new water arrows onto his bow, Carl grinned triumphantly, sure that he'd be the one to emerge victorious.

ZOOM

Thrusting his empty left hand forward, Lutz activated a magic circle, channelling his mana.

With focused intent, he cast a defensive spell designed to dispel the water arrows aimed at him, countering the magical assault with skilful precision.

"Gale Magic: Shielding Current!"

WHOOSH

From the vivid magic circle emerged a powerful tempest, calmly moving through space toward the spy's arrows.

It effortlessly dispersed the arrows into mere droplets of water, then back into their original state as lowly mana particles, which eventually dissipated into the atmosphere.

'I need to keep the distance between us short.' Stealing the attacking initiative, Lutz dashed forward, instantly closing the distance between them.

Using the rapier in his right hand, Lutz thrust forward, targeting his opponent's leg.

Acknowledging the potential threat of the attack, Carl defended adequately. Swiftly using his wooden bow, he swung it downwards, targeting Lutz's rapier and successfully deflecting the blow with a skilful manoeuvre.

CLING

Relentlessly assaulting Carl, Lutz swung his left leg, aiming a sharp kick directly at Carl's liver. The attack was designed to incapacitate the magic knight on the spot, exploiting a vulnerable spot.

BAM

Jerking his right elbow to the side, Carl swiftly blocked the attack by assaulting the youth's leg, effectively neutralizing Lutz's blow.

"This might take six minutes instead..."
