Chapter 14: chapter 13
After bidding farewell to Rias and my father, we head to Japan. We moved into the house rented for us, and despite knowing my strength, I tried to be careful, especially since this area in Japan is known for being the territory of Shinto gods. A wrong move could spark conflict, but I couldn't care less.
I start searching for the Himejima clan, and I find their territory thanks to space manipulation. I informed Valerie Gasper and Rias that I wouldn't be around for 5 days. Initially, they wanted to come with me, but I declined. It's not the right time for them.
Now, I need to meet Shuri, and it might be better to stop everything before starts.
As I approach the area where Shuri lives, I see Akeno playing alone nearby. She looks very cute, and as I approach her, she notices me and hesitates at first. I reach out my hand to her.
Theo: Hello, I'm Theo, 8 years old. Could you please tell me your name, little girl? I hope we can be friends.
Akeno shakes my hand and smiles. She looks very cute, but I wonder where her sadistic personality comes from.
Akeno: Hello, I'm Akeno Himejima, also 8 years old. I've never had a friend before.
Theo: Then let this be the beginning of our friendship, Himejima-san. I heard there's a temple around here. Could you show me where it is?
Akeno: I live there. If you want, I can take you there.
Theo: Then please lead me to the way.
As we arrive at the temple, Akeno speaks up.
Akeno: My parents will be very happy when they see I brought a friend home.
At that moment, we could hear Shuri and Baraqiel talking inside the house. But I paid no mind to it. Akeno entered first, and I followed. As soon as I stepped inside, I released a bit of my deadly aura towards Baraqiel. His heightened senses, developed over the years, advise him to flee. He senses the danger, and it's me. Seeing me with his daughter makes him break out in a cold sweat. Shuri couldn't understand what was happening.
Baraqiel gathers all his strength and throws a punch at me, but it stops three centimeters in front of my face and has no effect. All thanks to my Limitless Technique. I then redirect his fist with my index finger.
Baraqiel realizes that I'm someone dangerous, someone he shouldn't mess with.
Baraqiel: Who are you, and what do you want from my family?
Theo: I'm just here for a visit, although I don't understand why you attacked me.
Akeno: Dad, what are you doing to my first friend?
Shuri: Ara Ara akeno, I didn't expect you to bring someone home at this age.
Akeno: Please, don't, Oka-san.
Shuri approaches me, places her hand on my head, and looks at her husband.
Shuri: I'm Shuri Himejima. You can call me Ka-san. I apologize for my husband's actions, but you don't seem like a regular child. Why weren't you staying at our place?
Theo: I'm Theo Gremory. It doesn't matter what happened. If you're not bothered, Ka-san.
Baraqiel: Gremory, huh? What do you want, devil, in my house?
Theo: Let's not be so serious, Baraqiel-san. If I wanted you dead, you wouldn't be alive now.
Baraqiel knows he's right. That punch didn't just fail; it didn't even affect me at all. The kid seems to be having fun with him. He could use this in the future to reconcile with devils
Baraqiel: So, you're that famous demon king. Although your face is nowhere to be seen in the underworld, Shuri invited you, so you can stay for now.
Theo: Come on, Baraqiel-san, don't act like a tsundere.
Baraqiel: What are you saying, kid? I am the same age as your ancestors.
Theo: That just shows you're old.
Baraqiel: Did you just provoke death, demon?
He emits holy energy
Theo: I have resistance to divine energy. Don't even try.
And then we stop. Akeno speaks.
Akeno: Theo-kun, are you a devil?
Theo: Yes, I'm a devil, and yes, I know your race. Half-human, half-fallen. And I couldn't care less.
(most of the devils hate fallen angels so she thinks that Theo will go to hate her)
Akeno becomes teary-eyed and hugs me.
Baraqiel's aura intensifies. Shuri stops him and speaks.
Shuri: Akeno, when did you become so brave? And as I said, you can stay.
I thank them and they give me a room. When it's bedtime, Akeno comes to me, and I feel like I heard the door being locked. Akeno says she wants to sleep next to me. And yes, I understood why Akeno is sadistic; her mother makes baraqiel crying. It felt like I heard a whip.
Akeno: Theo-kun, the sounds disturb me. Can I sleep with you?
Theo: However you want it, Akeno-san.
And so, we spend five days playing and spending time together. On the last day, I tell Shuri and Baraqiel that I need to talk to them. I can see Akeno hiding in the corner, but it doesn't matter.
Theo: Shuri-san, Baraqiel-san, I want to inform you that your child is in danger. And to understand the danger, you need to make a deal with me.
Shuri: What nonsense are you talking about, Theo-kun?
Baraqiel: Tell me what you know, kid.
I stop time to prove my point. Baraqiel and Shuri are speechless.
Theo: Shuri-san, Baraqiel-san, as you can see, I have powers over time. That's why I can somewhat see the future. I've come here to make a deal with you.
Baraqiel: Tell me what we need to do.
Theo: We'll make a deal, Baraqiel-san. Inject your energy into this magic circle. Here are the terms: I'll tell you about the future, and you'll allow me to take Akeno with my peers in the future. Of course, I'm not forcing her.
Baraqiel injects his energy.
I tell them about the future, and Shuri can't believe her clan could do such a thing. If Baraqiel hadn't seen my power, he wouldn't have believed me. He knows in his heart that his daughter isn't loved by the clan, but it's difficult for him because they would try to kill her, and his wife sacrificing herself for their daughter is a tough situation for him.
Shuri is crying on the side.
Theo: I plan to have Akeno join my peerage, and I don't want Shuri-san to die for that reason. So, I'll help you, and don't worry about the Shinto gods; they'll think everything was my doing.
Baraqiel: Son, I hope you'll keep your word. If Akeno wants to join your peers in the future, she can.
Theo: Alright then.
Without saying anything more, I go to Akeno.
Theo: Akeno, I want you to join my peerage and be with me always. So, think about this idea.
I create a necklace and give it to Akeno.
Theo: This is a necklace I made. Call my name whenever you're in danger.
Without saying anything, I kissed her forehead and hugged her.
After bidding them farewell, I return home.
When I returned home today, Rias rushed to me and hugged me, Valerie joining her. Gasper watched from the side.
I told them what I did and planned for five days, and they wanted to be involved. I accepted.
The next day...
Theo: Stay close to me; we need to visit a place. Don't move without me; we're all going to the Himejima clan.
At that moment, unaware, the elders of the Himejima clan were gathered in a room; Suzaku was there, meaning she still wasn't the head of the clan. There were about ten people, and I walked into the middle.
And yes, everyone ignites their spiritual fires simultaneously, but I activate the Limitless Technique.
I turn to Gasper.
Theo: Use the trick I teached you. Freeze everyone here except the girl and the head.
Gasper raises both his hands and shouts: ZA WARUDO.
Time froze in the room, and only the head of the clan could move; he stood up when he saw me approaching.
I approach him and lift his chin with my hand.
Theo: Didn't anyone tell you not to attack guests?
I slap him again, and he's surprised.
Theo: I didn't permit you to speak. If you understand, blink twice.
He blinks twice. Is the old man crying, or is it just me?
Theo: Alright, I won't stay here long. I just came to warn you for now. If Shuri Himejima or her daughter is harmed, everyone in the Himejima clan will be killed, and no one should expect mercy. After they're all gone, I'll take their souls and put them to work for me. So, you can tell your cute Shinto gods what's going to happen. I don't care. The girl there witnessed it all. So, if you make a wrong move, the entire clan will be wiped out, and she knows it. Act accordingly.
After that, I leave with everyone, and the head of the clan still hasn't recovered.
