Chapter 75: Chapter 75
Sarutobi Shinnosuke looked at Toki, who approached, and began laughing maniacally:
"Hahaha! Uchiha Toki, so what if you kill me? More than 200 of your Uchiha elites will accompany me in death!"
"Kumogakure Village has already dispatched its Jinchūriki to the frontlines of the Land of Hot Water. Your Uchiha clan is finished! Hahaha! Even if you're as strong as Uchiha Madara, didn't the Uchiha clan abandon Madara back then?"
Seeing Sarutobi Shinnosuke's twisted expression, the anger in Toki's heart intensified. He crouched down, wearing a chilling smile:
"Do you know that fear evolves? People's emotions change depending on the situation. Do you think you're certain to die now?"
Toki struck the back of Shinnosuke's neck with precision.
Shinnosuke's world went black as he fainted instantly.
Grabbing the unconscious Shinnosuke like he was nothing but a ragdoll, Toki turned his gaze toward Konoha.
"Sarutobi Hiruzen, you've lost. Now it's time for you to experience what it's like to be marginalized, suppressed, and powerless—just like what the Uchiha clan went through."
Toki smirked.
"By the way, Kumogakure Village should be utterly finished, right? Six tailed beasts plus a pure-blooded Uzumaki descendant... Their Jinchūriki doesn't stand a chance. Not to mention my two kage-level fire-breathing dragons…"
"I hope you don't die too pathetically, Sarutobi Hiruzen. Otherwise, the next negotiations won't be as fun."
Toki raised his leg, and in a blink, he teleported nearly 10,000 meters away.
Feeling the strain on his eyes, he sighed. While his teleportation ability was terrifying, its chakra consumption was still too high. He would need the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan to use it with ease.
Touching his eyes thoughtfully, Toki muttered, "Each eye has no less than two Mangekyō techniques, and yet… there's still no sign of evolving into the Eternal Mangekyō."
He frowned. "Do I really need a brother's eyes to unlock it? As an orphan raised in the 24/7 Uchiha orphanage, I don't exactly have any long-lost siblings lying around."
Toki recalled his parents' deaths on the battlefield of the Second Ninja War, orchestrated by Sarutobi Hiruzen. A faint trace of sadness flashed in his eyes before disappearing entirely.
"No matter. I'll figure it out."
In a flash, Toki arrived at Konoha's gates, dragging Sarutobi Shinnosuke behind him. Standing guard at the gate were Gang Zitong and Shenyun Seikou, who turned pale the moment they saw him.
Guard stammered, "To—Toki Patriarch… weren't you supposed to deliver the paperwork?"
Toki smiled calmly, lifting the limp Shinnosuke in his hand like a trophy.
"Oh, I ran into a group of bandits on the way—caught this one for interrogation. You know, the security around Konoha isn't very good these days. Thousands of Chūnin and dozens of Jōnin-level 'bandits.' Died quite miserably."
Guards 's faces turned as white as sheets.
"W-What?!"
Toki's nonchalant tone sent chills down their spines. Thousands of Chūnin? Several Jōnin? That was a force powerful enough to destroy multiple small villages.
Yet Toki described it as nothing more than a bandit cleanup.
Looking at Sarutobi Shinnosuke—whose resemblance to Sarutobi Hiruzen was unmistakable—the two guards' minds raced.
Toki calmly waved his hand, saying, "Anyway, I'm here to register back into the village."
The two guards snapped out of their stupor, frantically jotting down the records before Toki disappeared toward the Uchiha district.
Not long after, Konoha was thrown into chaos.

Sarutobi Clan Compound
Sarutobi Hiruzen sat leisurely at a tea table, pouring tea as if everything were under control. Danzo, sitting across from him, frowned deeply, a bad premonition settling in his chest.
Suddenly, a masked Anbu appeared and knelt before them.
"Sarutobi-sama! There's trouble!"
Hiruzen's hand trembled, spilling tea from the pot. He turned his head sharply toward the Anbu.
"Speak! What happened?"
The Anbu hesitated, then stammered, "Uchiha Toki has returned to the Uchiha clan with a man who closely resembles… Captain Shinnosuke."
Crash!
The teapot slipped from Hiruzen's hands, shattering into pieces. He staggered, clutching the table for support.
"What did you say?!"
The Anbu repeated nervously, "Uchiha Toki claimed to have encountered 'bandits'—thousands of Chūnin and several Jōnin—and annihilated them all. He brought Captain Shinnosuke back with him to the Uchiha district for interrogation."
Hiruzen's face turned ashen.
Danzo slammed the table in fury, glaring at Hiruzen. "You fool! You sent a force to ambush the Uchiha without telling me?! Do you understand what you've done?! The Uchiha clan has wiped out Konoha's elite forces!"
"Enough!" Hiruzen roared, his chakra flaring in rage. "Shinnosuke is still alive. I must save him from Toki's hands!"
Ignoring Danzo's protests, Hiruzen barked at the Anbu:
"Assemble the forces! We're going to the Uchiha clan now!"

Uchiha Clan District
By the time Toki arrived, the Uchiha clan members swarmed him with concern and curiosity.
"Patriarch Toki, are you alright? Did you encounter trouble?"
"Who is this man? He looks just like Sarutobi Hiruzen…"
Before Toki could answer, Uchiha Fugaku appeared, his eyes widening in shock as they landed on the unconscious Sarutobi Shinnosuke. His expression darkened.
"This… This is Sarutobi Shinnosuke!"
The surrounding clan members froze, stunned into silence.
Toki grinned faintly, his tone casual yet ominous:
"Looks like we have ourselves a guest."
"Nani, isn't this the Dark Force Commander, Sarutobi Shinnosuke!?"
Toki glanced at Uchiha Fugaku and said coldly:
"Nonsense. This is clearly a bandit! A robber who attacked our Uchiha clerical team."
"Exactly! This is obviously a robber!"
"Hiruzen Sarutobi sent people to assassinate our patriarch, and we're supposed to just sit back and take it?"
"Uchiha Fugaku, what are you saying? Do you want us to sit still and wait to be slaughtered? The issue with Shisui hasn't even been resolved yet!"
The Uchiha clansmen grew agitated, their voices rising.
Uchiha Fugaku, with a heavy expression, spoke up:
"Alas, why don't you understand? If we clash with the Sarutobi clan, the peace in Konoha will shatter. Who among you wants to see the children dragged into war?"
Toki scoffed, his gaze sharp as he retorted:
"Isn't war better than living in humiliation? Since when did the Uchiha clan become afraid of war?"
Uchiha Fugaku sighed deeply, frustration in his voice:
"Why won't you listen? I admit that you've greatly strengthened the Uchiha clan recently, but that doesn't mean we can afford to turn against Sarutobi Hiruzen outright.
The Sarutobi clan commands a vast number of civilian ninjas, and they still control the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. If we push too far, they could respond with a full force of elites.
How will we resist if they send hundreds of shinobi next time?
And remember—Uchiha and Konoha are one. If we weaken ourselves with internal fighting, the other villages will pounce on the opportunity. Look at the Uzumaki clan. Without Konoha's protection, their unique power made them targets. If we're not careful, the Sharingan will bring the same fate upon us!"
The crowd of Uchiha began murmuring, some appearing to agree with Fugaku's reasoning.
Fugaku seized the moment and turned back to Toki:
"Here's what we should do—return Shinnosuke to the Sarutobi clan and admit this was a misunderstanding. Since they attacked first, they won't escalate matters further. Turning this into a full confrontation helps no one."
Toki raised an eyebrow, his expression mocking as he replied:
"Return him? Well, along with this one, I have one thousand corpses of chūnin and jōnin. Do you want to send those back too?"
"What... What did you say!?" Uchiha Fugaku's face turned ashen with shock.
Before he could react, Toki's Susanoo emerged, its massive hand pinning Fugaku to the ground effortlessly.
Toki's cold voice rang out:
"You keep talking about Konoha, but you—a kage-level shinobi with the Mangekyō Sharingan—hide behind your clansmen!"
The crowd erupted into astonishment.
"Kage-level? Sharingan?"
"Fugaku has the Mangekyō Sharingan?!"
"Then why does he act so afraid of Sarutobi Hiruzen?"
"Is Lord Toki right? Is Fugaku just too timid to act?"
"How can someone hiding in fear lead the Uchiha?"
The clansmen's discontent grew louder, their accusatory gazes falling on Fugaku.
Suddenly, Uchiha Itachi burst from the crowd, shouting:
"Father!"
Close behind him was Uchiha Mikoto, cradling Sasuke in her arms. She hesitated briefly before addressing Toki:
"Patriarch Toki, Fugaku is only acting for the good of the Uchiha clan. He has no intention of betraying anyone."
Toki snorted dismissively but released Fugaku, throwing him aside as if he weighed nothing.
Fugaku staggered to his feet, his face contorted with humiliation and rage. He shot Mikoto a venomous glare before vanishing in a flash, unable to bear the shame any longer.
The Uchiha clansmen dispersed uneasily, their voices hushed but filled with speculation.
Toki turned his piercing gaze to Mikoto and ordered sharply:
"Pack your things and move out of the compound. Do it yourself."
The crowd froze in confusion, staring at both Toki and Mikoto.
Mikoto bit her lip, pale and silent, her head lowered.
Toki's voice was iron:
"Don't want to leave? Fine—I'll deal with him right now."
Uchiha Itachi's young face twisted in confusion as he looked between his mother and Toki. His mind struggled to process what was happening.
Mikoto sighed, clutching Sasuke close as she turned and walked away, her steps heavy.
On their way home, Mikoto finally spoke softly:
"I'm sorry, Itachi. The truth is... your father and I separated a long time ago."
Itachi froze, his sharp young mind struggling to comprehend.
"What...?"
Mikoto continued, guilt lacing her voice:
"Sasuke isn't your father's child."
Itachi felt the world tilt, his breath catching in his throat.
"No... it can't be..."
Mikoto sighed, her gaze distant:
"Your father was cold, and I... I made mistakes. There was another man, someone brilliant—someone I couldn't resist. Before I knew it, I had Sasuke.
But he had someone else. All of Konoha knew about him and Lady Tsunade. There was no way I could tell him the truth."
Itachi's face remained blank, his mind whirling with conflicting thoughts.
After a long silence, he managed a faint, broken smile:
"It's okay, Mother. I understand. Sasuke... he's still my brother, no matter what."
Mikoto's eyes welled with tears as she touched Itachi's face.
"Thank you, Itachi. You're a good child."
As they walked on, Itachi's expression remained calm, but deep inside, his heart was a storm of emotions he could barely contain.
