Chapter 41: Asteroid Y7112.
After all the commotion, both zergs barely slept and set off again.
Yi Er didn’t bid farewell to Darren; he still couldn’t get over that hurdle in his heart. However, Qi Yao’s comforting words had some effect on him. He believed Qi Yao was right; what mattered was that he now had the ability to decide his own life. Since he couldn’t influence Darren’s choice, he decided to patiently await the outcome of Darren’s decision.
The honeymoon continued as the spacecraft leisurely headed towards another asteroid.
Recalling the encounter with Darren, Qi Yao casually asked Yi Er, “We won’t encounter your male father on the other asteroid, will we?”
A laugh came from Yi Er’s nose. “No, long before I owned this asteroid, he was privately driven to a remote galaxy by His Majesty the Queen.”
Qi Yao felt relieved and absentmindedly drew circles on Yi Er’s abdomen. “Then it’s just the two of us.”
“Mmm.”
“What’s on that asteroid?”
Qi Yao was usually uninterested in various peculiar asteroids, so asking this was purely out of boredom.
Unexpectedly, Yi Er gave a serious answer, “There are oceans, beaches, forests, deserts, and glaciers.”
Qi Yao’s circling motion paused. Hearing this description, it sounded a lot like Blue Star. Qi Yao looked up with anticipation and blinked, asking, “Is there life?”
“There are star beasts. Do you want one? If you do, we can catch one and bring it back to raise.”
Qi Yao waved his hand. “Forget it. Let them live in their favorite habitat. They’ll lose their hunting instincts if they follow us.”
Yi Er agreed with this viewpoint and didn’t continue to persuade him.
But Qi Yao was still curious about that asteroid. “Have you been there before? Is it big? How does it compare to the Imperial Star?”
“It’s just a private asteroid. How can it compare to the Imperial Star?” Yi Er said, then cast a probing look at Qi Yao. “Why suddenly so curious about that asteroid?”
Qi Yao said, “I saw that your female father built an estate on the asteroid. I thought it might be nice to build one on your asteroid too.”
Yi Er smiled. “Don’t worry, it’s there.”
Qi Yao blinked. “?”
Suddenly, Yi Er said, “Back then, I saved His Majesty the Queen’s life and bought his private villa from His Majesty at a low price. Actually, His Majesty suggested I buy an asteroid.”
“Why, are asteroids cheaper?”
“No. His Majesty said that all Imperial females would prepare an asteroid as a gift for their lords when they were single. I wasn’t willing to buy an asteroid at first because I thought I wouldn’t get married. Later, after visiting the site with His Majesty, I found that the asteroid was indeed quite good.”
“And then you bought it?”
“I did.” Yi Er’s voice suddenly filled with regret. “When His Majesty suggested I buy it, I didn’t. When I wanted to buy it again, the price of the asteroid had already increased fivefold.”
“…Didn’t His Majesty give you a discount?”
Yi Er smirked. “The environment on this asteroid is all natural, and His Majesty had his eye on it, wanting to buy it as a birthday gift for His Highness the Emperor. But I beat him to it, so when I bought it, the price was so high. In fact, if it had been at the normal price, I would have paid about twenty percent more.”
“…His Majesty must have been sad to see you snatch the Emperor’s gift.”
“No, he was happy.”
“Why?”
“Because it meant I was considering marriage.”
“…………”
Qi Yao took a long time to connect the dots between buying the asteroid and marrying Yi Er.
Yi Er continued triumphantly, “Then His Majesty gave me the vacation villa plan he originally prepared for His Highness, and I built a villa on the asteroid.”
“…………”
Yi Er said, “Did you notice that I transferred the asteroid to your name recently?”
“?Did you? Recently? When?” Qi Yao hurriedly checked his asset account.
During the recent period, he and Yi Er were busy fighting in the border star system. After returning, they only had a day or two off before embarking on their honeymoon. Qi Yao had no idea when Yi Er had given him an asteroid.
The asset account showed up, and Qi Yao, with his back to Yi Er, silently examined it.
Wow, there was indeed an asteroid with the code Y7112 in the account, and it appeared just a day before Yi Er set off for the border star system.
Y7112?
Y7112!
“The name of this asteroid…?” Qi Yao murmured in confusion.
“What’s wrong with the name?” Yi Er asked.
There wasn’t anything wrong, but the homophonic pun was quite serious.
“Did you come up with the name Y7112, or was it originally called that?” Qi Yao turned his face to ask.
Yi Er admitted openly, “I came up with it. When I transferred it to you, I thought I couldn’t just name it by coordinates, so I gave it a name.”
Qi Yao clicked his tongue. “You’re quite meticulous in your approach.”
Yi Er replied casually, “Not really… Actually, I had some inspiration.”
Qi Yao listened intently.
Yi Er said, “I once saw a piece of news on the Star Network and stumbled upon a highly recognizable ID in the comments section, which inspired me.”
Recalling his own naming habits, Qi Yao couldn’t help but grin. “Haha, you don’t read your own news, do you?”
Yi Er smiled confidently. “Exactly. Mr. QY71, I wonder if the Lord is satisfied with the name Y7112?”
“Satisfied, satisfied, very satisfied.” Qi Yao turned his face back, his grin spreading uncontrollably to the back of his head.
He could tolerate Yi Er copying his habits, but incorporating a homophonic pun of his own name was a bit too much.
He looked satisfied with the name Y7112 and said, “When you give me things in the future, let me know in advance so I can be prepared.”
Yi Er replied seriously, “Sure, when I’m pregnant with eggs in the future, I’ll definitely let the Lord know in advance.”
“Of course.”
Qi Yao’s fingers unconsciously touched Yi Er’s abdomen again. Ever since Yi Er had let him touch his belly yesterday, he had become addicted to it, unable to stop fondling the faintly undulating muscles.
It was hard to imagine that eggs would be conceived here in the future, and Yi Er would bear their zerg offspring for him.
As Qi Yao touched, he reminisced about everything that happened last night.
Suddenly, he remembered a sentence Yi Er had said, “Yi Er, why did you marry me for a fake marriage yesterday?”
The muscles under his palm tightened instantly.
“Why are you nervous?” Qi Yao chuckled and sat up straight. “I’m just asking.”
“Lord, I’m really not thinking about it that much now.”
“I know.”
Although they both had their own purposes at the beginning, fortunately, those purposes promoted their relationship with each other.
Qi Yao felt it was quite worth it.
Yi Er pointed out to Qi Yao, “That blue planet over there.”
The asteroid in sight wasn’t particularly large, only about a quarter the size of the blue star they once lived on, but it still bore a striking resemblance to it.
In this vast galaxy, they didn’t know where Blue Star was hidden, but gazing at this asteroid would inexplicably evoke a sense of homecoming in Qi Yao.
The spacecraft landed on a sandy beach.
It was midday, and the golden sunlight warmly bathed the surroundings. The salty sea breeze brushed past, accompanied by the sound of waves crashing.
Hand in hand, they strolled on the soft sand. Small star crabs crawled over their toes, only to be swept into the clear seawater by the waves.
“Now, this feels like a vacation.”
Compared to the heaviness of watching meteor showers, both Qi Yao and Yi Er felt an unprecedented sense of relaxation.
“If I had known, we wouldn’t have gone to see the meteor shower,” Qi Yao muttered as he kicked the white sand under his feet.
Yi Er smiled but didn’t say anything.
“How many days are we staying here?”
“Until the end of the vacation?”
Qi Yao pondered, “Will Teacher Nos criticize me for slacking off?”
“Then just stay for one night and go back?”
With a rare vacation, Qi Yao was reluctant to let it end so soon. “Forget it, let’s stay until the end of the vacation.”
Putting work and Darren out of their minds, the two zergs completely let go of their pressures and enjoyed an idyllic holiday life on the Y7112 asteroid.
For the past few days, Qi Yao and Yi Er had been holed up in the spacecraft’s cabin. Although the cabin was well-equipped, it wasn’t as comfortable as a proper house.
The vacation villa was nestled in the woods by the sea. Yi Er led Qi Yao into the villa, told him to rest first, then busied himself with tidying up and even went into the kitchen, a rare sight.
Xiao En had prepared simple ingredients for them that required minimal processing to make a quick meal.
By the time Qi Yao woke up from a light nap and finished touring the surroundings, Yi Er had already cleaned up the villa and prepared a simple dinner of meat and vegetables.
Qi Yao was amazed; he had never seen Yi Er cook before, and he had always thought Yi Er couldn’t cook.
“Did you… make this?” Qi Yao asked.
“Yeah, it’s not difficult,” Yi Er replied.
“Did you learn from Dean at the last minute?”
Yi Er looked at him. “My Lord, I often go on business trips, so I have some essential life skills.”
“…Well, that’s true.”
Qi Yao sat at the table, picked up his knife and fork, and tasted the meat and vegetables. One was seafood, probably caught by Yi Er while he was out, and the other was vegetables mixed with nutrient solution, a combination Yi Er liked.
The taste was quite good, meeting their taste requirements.
Qi Yao was surprised by how well his consort concealed his skills; he could even cook seafood.
“Tomorrow I’ll take you to explore the forest, there should be star beasts inside,” Yi Er said after finishing his meal and putting down his knife and fork.
“Yeah,” Qi Yao also set down his utensils.
“Come here.” He looked at Yi Er meaningfully. “Let me touch your belly.”
“…”
Yi Er walked over expressionlessly and lifted him up.
Qi Yao: “?”
“To the bedroom, then.”
(T/N: “Y7112” sounds like “Yi-Qi-Yi-Er” in Chinese pronunciation, which phonetically resembles the names “Qi Yao” (齐曜) and “Yi Er” (伊迩).)
