In Jade City, Imperial Auction House. Yaeger remained unaware of the large force mobilizing against her in real life. Even if she knew, she wouldn’t have cared.

“You’re back!” Kastina exclaimed joyfully as soon as Yaeger stepped into the third-floor office.

“Yes. How’s everything going at the auction house?” Yaeger asked, easing herself onto the sofa and leaning back comfortably.

Kastina plopped down beside her, her voice brimming with excitement. “We sold out all the stockpiled materials just ten minutes ago. We made a fortune!”

Though Kastina enjoyed the thrill of battle, earning money brought her even more satisfaction. Of course, nothing compared to the joy of receiving Yaeger’s attention. Lately, though, she hadn’t had the chance to enjoy Yaeger’s fists.

‘Our relationship has gotten so good, it’s hard to ask her to hit me now…' Kastina sighed inwardly before her eyes lit up. ‘Wait, there are materials in the Imperial treasury that she really wants. If I bring them to her, maybe I can make it happen!'

“That’s great. It’s faster than I thought,” Yaeger said with a nod.

“That idiot spent hundreds of millions on his own. He’s way too rich,” Kastina said, clearly referring to Taurus.

“Hehe, tomorrow, I’ll sell him some equipment and items and drain his wallet dry,” Yaeger said with a sly smile.

“We’re not selling materials anymore?” Kastina asked, puzzled.

“No. We’ve already bought out anything valuable. At this point, most of the materials left in the city aren’t what the outsiders want. Buying them would just be a waste of money.”

“I see. I’ll update the trading manifest for tonight, then.”

“You can handle it later. No rush,” Yaeger said.

“Oh, by the way…” Kastina suddenly remembered something and glanced at Yaeger. “Lowly slave, what’s your real name? Don’t tell me it’s actually [Princess]…”

“It’s not!” Yaeger replied immediately.

“Then what is it?” Kastina pressed, her curiosity evident.

When they first met, their relationship had been like fire and ice, so calling her “lowly slave” felt natural. Now, though, with their relationship much improved, it felt inappropriate to keep using that nickname.

Kastina even felt slightly awkward saying it now. Yet, switching to calling her [Princess] felt oddly difficult.

“Yae-hime.” Yaeger finally said, her voice calm as she used her aura to write the name in the air.

“Yae-hime…” Kastina repeated softly, her gaze fixed on the shimmering letters as her heart unexpectedly skipped a beat. “I’ll call you Lil’ Hime from now on!” Kastina declared enthusiastically.

“Call me Yae-hime!” Yaeger said firmly. While the nickname wasn’t bad, it felt entirely inappropriate coming from Kastina.

“You don’t like Lil’ Hime?” Kastina asked, tilting her head in confusion.

“It’s not about liking or disliking it. Just call me Yae-hime…” Yaeger replied, exasperated.

At this moment in the conversation, Yaeger paused briefly before softening her tone. “I prefer it when you call me Yae-hime.”

‘You… prefer me more!' Kastina’s thoughts spiraled as her world seemed to spin. Her mind went blank, and her heart swelled with an indescribable joy.

“Yae-hime! Yae-hime! Yae-hime!” Kastina couldn’t contain her excitement as she grabbed Yaeger’s hand and repeated the name fervently.

Yaeger looked at her in confusion. ‘All I did was ask her to call me Yae-hime. Why is she so excited?’ She patiently waited for Kastina to settle down.

Once Kastina was calm, Yaeger brought up something that had been on her mind. “Kastina, have you been able to contact Lili lately?”

“I haven’t seen her in a while,” Kastina replied.

“Why not? Aren’t you two fairly close?” Yaeger asked, curious.

“Well, Lili’s residence was destroyed some time ago, remember? It’s being renovated right now, but I have no idea where she’s staying temporarily. That’s why I haven’t been able to meet her,” Kastina said with a shrug.

“I see,” Yaeger said, a hint of disappointment in her tone.

“Are you in a hurry to meet her?” Kastina asked, noticing Yaeger’s reaction.

“Not exactly,” Yaeger replied. “I just have some questions I need to ask her.”

“When I head back later, I’ll ask around about Lili for you.”

“Thanks,” Yaeger said sincerely.

In response, Kastina gently nudged Yaeger’s shoulder. “Lil’ Hime, you don’t have to be so formal with me. Don’t say things like that again.”

‘Didn’t I tell you to stop calling me Lil’ Hime?’ Yaeger thought, rolling her eyes in silent exasperation.

After a bit of idle chatter, Kastina excused herself to take care of her own matters. Unlike Yaeger, Kastina had numerous business affairs to manage and kept herself extremely busy. Still, she seemed to genuinely enjoy every moment of it.

“It’s almost over,” Yaeger murmured to herself, leaning back against the sofa. All she had to do now was wait. Wait for Kastina to gather the materials needed to repair the [City of Chaos]. Wait until tomorrow to begin Allie’s treatment.

There wasn’t much else for her to concern herself with.

“I don’t have much else to do right now. Let’s check the forums.” The forums were the most convenient way to stay updated on the latest player trends. Every day, the forums were brimming with fresh information.

“Shocking this, shocking that. Will you all collapse if you stop using that title for just one day?” Yaeger’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably as her gaze swept over the barrage of clickbait titles on the screen.

With a sigh, she tapped her slender finger on the first trending post.

«Shocking! The 400-Million-Dollar Man, Prodigal Master of Huadu!»

“Well, this one isn’t clickbait for once,” Yaeger muttered.

The post detailed Taurus’ extravagant behavior, painting a picture of how recklessly he threw his money around.

“Taurus must have spent at least seven hundred million recently, right? The Zhang family is absurdly wealthy… No, they must have learned something about the game through insider connections. That’s the only reason they’d pour so much money into it.”

The wealthier someone was, the more cautious they tended to be with their spending. Yaeger was certain that the Zhang family had uncovered something important. Otherwise, they wouldn’t risk investing such an astronomical sum.

“Still, it’s all pointless. No matter how much they throw into this game, it’ll all end up in my hands soon enough,” Yaeger said with a sly smile.

Smirking, Yaeger closed the post and moved on to the second trending topic.

«Shocking! The Wasteland’s Giant Beast Is Terrifying Beyond Belief!»

This post wasn’t clickbait either. As soon as she opened it, a high-definition image filled her screen: a massive, red-haired Magic Beast with a snarling expression. It resembled a ferocious ape.

“The Giant Scorching Ape!” Yaeger exclaimed the moment the image came into view. She recognized the Magic Beast instantly. To be precise, she had read about it in a strategy guide.

‘This is the area boss of the Wasteland map: the [Giant Scorching Ape]. I remember someone defeated it once and earned a lucky lottery ticket along with an Epic Random Equipment Crate. That reward caused a massive bloodbath.' Recalling this, Yaeger quickly checked the post’s timestamp. It had been published just an hour ago.

“Good thing I haven’t missed this free loot box.”

As the area boss of the Wasteland map, the [Giant Scorching Ape] was slightly weaker than the [Wind Wolf King] from the Novice Village. However, its defenses were incredibly strong, and it possessed multiple large AoE special abilities, making it a formidable opponent.

“The players in Jade City aren’t strong enough right now. Even if a few Guilds banded together, it would still take them over an hour to take it down,” Yaeger mused, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
