The Hogyoku (I) [BLEACH UNIVERSE]
After inspecting the books, Kaguya realized that most of them were simply about random stuff so simply decided to torch them with Amaterasu… After all, what the hell she was supposed to do with a Shinigami handbook? However, the handbook was far from the most ridiculous thing she had acquired.
There were a few books about how not to cut yourself with your own Asauchi and Zanpaktou… Just like she thought, simply ridiculous…
However, there were a few useful books. For example, there was a book filled with some basic Hado Spells (Way of Destruction), a book filled with basic Bakudo Spells (Way of Binding), a couple of books on Kaido (Healing Kido), and lastly, a book on Kekkai (Barriers), but Kaguya wasn’t much interested in Kekkai.
Kaguya was much more interested in Hado, Bakudo, and Kaido... Those three were the most useful in her eyes…
“Zetsu, stop messing around with those Asauchi and come here” Kaguya said, making Zetsu, who was fumbling around with Asauchi perk up at her words. Zetsu immediately dropped the Asachui, except for one and came to her. “Take this one. I want you to learn the Hado Spells before anything else” Kaguya ordered.
Zetsu accepted the book with a fanatical look on his face. He lacked offensive abilities more than anything else, and that was the reason why Kaguya gave him the book with Hado Spells… He could learn the rest after learning the Hado Spells and in the meantime, she could learn everything else with the help of her Clones.
Her Clones won’t be able to use any of the Spells, but they will be able to learn the Spells and the memories would return to her when she dismissed the Clones…
“I won’t disappoint you, mother” Zetsu vowed.
“I know you won’t” Kaguya nodded her head as she knew that her son would never do anything to disappoint her. After that, she decided to leave Zetsu to his own devices while she used her Clones to learn everything she could. Then she stroked the Asauchi in her lap… It was going to take quite some time for her Zanpaktou to manifest, but Kaguya was in no hurry. She had time to spare…
~~Couple of Days Later~~
*boom*
Kaguya felt her eyebrow twitch in irritation as the building rocked thanks to a massive explosion. Ichigo and the kids managed to invade the Seireitei along with Yoruichi a couple of days ago and she used that chance to liberate quite a few things from the Acadamy. It was quite a nice haul, she wasn’t going to deny that…
*boom*
The building rattled again, and a vein popped on her head… She had been trying to learn Bakudo and Kaido for the past couple of days, but much to her shame and frustration, the techniques were still a work in progress… The problem was that her Clones could not use any of the techniques, which meant she needed to practice all of them on her own…
It was both irritating and time-consuming… Kaguya was not happy, but she had realized the fact that she needed to work hard on her own and invest a lot of time if she really wanted the Kido Spells and to be honest, she wasn’t willing to give up… Power was power and she was willing to go to any lengths to gain more power.
*boom*
Another explosion rocked the building, but this time it did not end with just the rattling… The building was sliced and the top of the building slipped off, exposing Kaguya who was floating in the air in the lotus position… A sigh escaped her lips… This building was a nice place to crash, but how the hell she was supposed to know that Ichigo and Zaraki were going to start fighting right around the corner!!
Kaguya slowly stood up before flying out of the building… There was no point in staying here anymore, especially when she knew how the fight was going to end and she didn’t want to hide in any of these buildings as Ichigo and Zaraki might end up bringing down the building on top of her head… Not that it was going to hurt her, but still, she would prefer not to get buried under a building.
“Look! Who decided to show up” A voice called out when Kaguya was finally about to fly off. A part of her wanted to stay here and watch the fight since watching the anime and the real thing were quite different, but another part of her wanted her to lay low until it was finally the time to strike. After pondering for a bit, she decided to fly off and lay low, but before she could do that, she was stopped.
“Yoruichi…” Kaguya trailed off as she slowly turned her head to stare at the black cat sitting on the roof. “Still parading around as a cat, I see” Kaguya added in a cold tone.
“My presence could bring a lot of trouble to the kids” Yoruichi answered simply as she licked her paw. “So, you took an Asauchi” Yoruichi pointed out as she noticed the Asauchi hanging by her waist.
“I was curious” Kaguya answered as there was no point in hiding. After all, from now on she needed to keep the Asauchi on her person all the time as she needed to imprint her essence on the Asauchi to finally manifest a Zanpaktou spirit. “Don’t you want to help him?” Kaguya asked as she saw Ichigo slump down after Zaraki finally stabbed him while cutting through his Zangetsu.
“You are the one who was supposed to keep him alive, right?” Yoruichi asked as she raised one of her brows.
“My spiritual sense may not be sharp as yours but even I can tell that his Reiastu is not dropping. In fact, it is increasing” Kaguya announced and Yoruichi didn’t look surprised by her words, which meant that the cat probably already knew that. Kaguya snorted internally thinking about Ichigo… If it was anyone else in his place then they would have died, instead of becoming stronger.
However, Ichigo was gaining more power, his Reiatsu was becoming stronger and sharper… Typical protagonist plot armor, Kaguya mused…
“Kenpachi Zaraki might be one of the strongest Captains, but he is just a brute with no finesse… Ichigo needs more training if he wants to fight against someone like Byakuya” Yoruichi started to speak out loud. “I will be taking him to a secret place after the fight, would you like to join us?” Yoruichi asked as she turned to look at Kaguya, but Kaguys easily refused the offer.
“No, I will be fine on my own, but thanks for the offer” Kaguya politely refused the offer. Yoruichi stared at her for a few moments before looking away.
They continued to watch the fight for the new few minutes before Kaguya finally made another comment. “Looks like they are about to end it with a final move” Kaguya commented, earning a hum from Yoruichi in acknowledgement.
In the following moments, Ichigo and Zaraki clashed against each other for the final time and Ichigo was the first one to fumble… He said something, but Kaguya wasn’t paying any mind to whatever he was saying. Ichigo slumped down and when he did, Zaraki smiled widely before he slumped down too beside Ichigo and his Zanpaktou snapped in two.
“I need to get going” Yoruichi announced before using Flash Step to disappear.
Kaguya simply snorted before flying away… Shounen anime were amusing if nothing else. You defeat someone and instead of gaining their hatred, you get a friend. The whole setting was completely ridiculous… If she was in their place then she would have killed her enemies! Fuck consequences! Maybe, that was why she was a Villain and not a Heroine.
Finding another place to hide wasn’t that hard with her eyes… However, before bunking down, there was something she needed to test. Kaguya opened a Portal and stepped through. The next moment, she found herself standing in a never-ending white desert… A smile appeared on her face as she realized that she could travel to Hueco Mundo without a Garganta, which meant, she was free to act against Aizen.
Hueco Mundo was vast… Even with her eyes, she couldn’t locate Las Noches, which was... unnerving considering Soul Society was only slightly bigger than Japan… Kaguya opened another Portal and stepped through, arriving in the Human World. Now that she knew that she could travel between the dimensions without the Senkaimon or a Garganta, without wasting any time, Kaguya opened another Portal and returned to Seireitei.
Feeling pretty satisfied with herself, Kaguya decided to resume her training…
~~Three Days Later~~
Kaguya slowly stood up and stretched herself, but her feet never touched the ground… It was finally the day… Rukia was going to be executed today, she could already see that almost all the Captains were gathered on top of Sokyoku Hill while Aizen and Ichimaru Gin were waiting inside the Central 46 building. Kaguya still couldn’t believe that she had gone completely unnoticed by Aizen.
Or they might have noticed her, but they had dismissed her as nobody important… Aizen might be a cunning manipulator, but at the same time, he was insanely arrogant… He believed only Genryusai Yamamoto posed any kind of threat to him. All of his delusions were going to fall apart after meeting her today…
The Sokyoku finally started to take form, but just before it could strike Rukia, Ichigo appeared and stopped the Sokyoku. Then Ukitake appears with the Shihoin Shield and with the help of Kyoraku, he destroys the Sokyoku before it can attempt to strike Rukia for the second time. Then events continue to unfold after that… Ichigo faces Byakuya after defeating the three weak-looking lieutenants with minimum effort.
Soifon tries to interfere with Renji who is running away with Rukia, but she is stopped by Yoruichi. Then Ukitake and Kyoraku decide to face Yamamoto when the man is finally about to act… Kaguya dispassionately changes her focus to Central 46 before cracking her neck. Toshiro Hitsugaya was already lying in a pool of blood, but he was getting treated and Restu Unohana was currently having a chat with Aizen.
Kaguya snorted before closing her eyes… It was not the time to act yet, but soon, her time to hide in the shadows would be over… However, Kaguya was not pleased, at least not completely. Her progress regarding Soul techniques had been rather slow and it was going to take her years to master all of them. Fortunately, not everything was bad.
Thanks to her training, her Reiryoku was growing and her Reiatsu was becoming more stable and potent…
Kaguya opened her eyes and decided to wait… After being sealed inside the moon for a thousand years, waiting was not something she was averse to. Kaguya knew that good things always came to people who were willing to wait. Minutes passed away, and events continued to unfold, but Kaguya did not make a move. Aizen and Gin finally arrived at Sokyoku Hill along with Kaname Tosen, Rukia, and Renji.
Now, only a few minutes more… Kaguya could barely hold back her excitement. After a couple of long minutes, Aizen finally finished his monologue after almost cutting Ichigo in half, but she knew that it was a big fat lie. If Aizen wanted to kill him then he could have killed the kid in hundreds of different ways, but Aizen had other plans for him.
If Aizen wasn’t a fool then he wouldn’t have lost to Ichigo… Aizen thought he wanted to rule over the world and reign supreme, but his true desire was to lose. That was why he manipulated Ichigo’s life. He wanted to have an equal… Kaguya snorted in derision. Just for that reason, Kaguya did not think he was fit to possess the power of the Hogyoku. Aizen was nothing but a pathetic fool with delusions of grandeur…
Kaguya watched Aizen take out the Hogyoku from Rukia’s Soul and without wasting any time, Kaguya simply opened a portal and stepped through…
