Power Up (I) [ORIGIN UNIVERSE]
“So, you finally decided to show yourself, my son?” Kaguya asked softly as she slowly stood up and turned to look at her son. A tear trickled out of her eye… Regardless of their actions, she still somewhat loved her sons, but that did not mean she was going to lower her guard in front of him.
Hagoromo was a master of sealing arts and for the time being, Fuinjutsu was the only thing she needed to be careful about. “But, don’t you think you were too late? Your vaunted champions are already defeated” Kaguya said while she waved her hand toward the body of Naruto Uzumaki, who had already passed out.
A pained look flashed across Hagoromo’s face, but moments later, a look of determination flashed across his face. “Mother, please stop. There is no need to do any of this. Please let the humans live their own lives” Hagoromo begged, making Kaguya frown sadly.
“Even after so many years, you still care more about them than your own mother” Kaguya said aloud as another tear trickled out of her eye.
“You are not my mother. Not really, you might look like her, but you are not the woman who raised me and Hamura. You are just a monster using her body” Hagoromo snapped while gritting his teeth in anger and frustration. He had spent most of his remaining powers to empower Naruto and Sasuke, and right now, even staying in this realm was a struggle.
Kaguya reeled back as if she was struck and a pained look appeared on her face before she quickly schooled her features. “Yet you still call me mother when you need something from me” Kaguya pointed out in a cold tone.
Hagoromo did not a retort for that. “You taught ninshu to humans and do you see the result? Your actions have killed more humans than I have” Kaguya pointed out.
“That is not the point. Whatever they did, they had the freedom to choose for themselves, but with you, they would no longer have that choice!” Hagoromo snapped at her.
Kaguya snorted in derision… “Then it is good that I have no intentions of ruling them. Humans are greedy creatures. They always want more and more, they are never happy with what they have. When I ended the wars, they referred to me as the Rabbit Goddess. They looked up to me, but as the years passed away, they started to call me a demon” Kaguya explained.
“No matter what you do, humans are always going to find something to hate you over” Kaguya said coldly as she turned toward the moon. “Even after you taught them ninshu in the hopes of bringing them close to each other, what did they do? Yes, they turned ninshu into weapons and started to wage wars against each other” Kaguya continued derisively.
“You took the Juubi and separated it into nine parts. You tasked them to look over humanity, but what happened? They were treated as monsters and mindless beasts by the humans and later, a human even captured them one by one and sealed them away in jars, so that they could be handed over to other humans for the sake of balance” Kaguya smiled coldly.
Hagoromo would have tried to retort if he had anything to argue about other than their free will and even that was starting to sound just like a weak excuse the more his mother continued…
“Then humans started to use your children to wage wars. You see, my son, humans are never going to change. That is why I have decided to wash my hands with them. They are more trouble than they are worth… As soon as I am done taking what is mine, I will leave them to their own devices, so they can start waging wars again” Kaguya smiled at her words.
Kaguya could have tried to turn them into White Zetsu, but thanks to Janet, now she knew that the White Zetsus were extremely weak creatures. Against her clan, they wouldn’t even last a second so it would be simply a waste of time and energy to turn humans into White Zetsu. It would be much better if she started working on her personal strength.
“Is there no way I can convince you otherwise?” Hagoromo asked with a pained look on his face. He didn’t want his mother to take Chakra away from the humans, but it was not like he could stop her. He had already played his hand and he had lost the game… He knew that chances were not in their favor, considering the raw power his mother possessed, but he never expected them to lose this badly.
“No, you don’t” Kaguya answered in a determined tone. Hagoromo looked reluctant, but after a moment, he simply turned around and disappeared… Kaguya decided to use her Rinne Sharingan to see if he was still around, but it looked like he was gone for good…
Kaguya breathed out… It was hard for her to reunite with her son after so long and not break down. “Mother, they are not your son. They are traitors and you should not feel bad for them” Black Zetsu hissed and for a moment, Kaguya felt like killing the creature, but, her third son was right. Hagoromo and Hamura were traitors, but she still loved them.
Maybe, with some more time, she would finally be able to move on from them…
“We still have a couple of things to deal with. Heal him” Kaguya ordered her clone to heal Naruto before she opened a portal and stepped through.
“Where are Naruto-kun and Sasuke-kun? What have you done to them?” Sakura screamed while balefully glaring at Kaguya who appeared out of a portal. Right now, Sakura was lying on a huge rock with all of her limbs pinned to the stone. The wood clone had used Truth Seeking rods to immobilize the girl and even with her incredible strength and healing, Sakura couldn’t get herself free.
“Do not worry, my child, you will be joining them pretty soon” Kaguya said as she leaned down beside the girl. The girl stared at her with blank eyes before a look of clear disbelief appeared on her face.
“There is no way Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun would lose to you” Sakura proclaimed proudly and Kaguya didn’t bother to break her delusions. She simply grabbed the girl and started to extract her Chakra. Initially, Kaguya wanted to kill the girl, but that would no longer be necessary. “You… will… not win” Sakura said before finally passing out, making Kaguya scoff.
She had already won…
After that, Kaguya went to where her last clone was and took Kakashi’s Chakra along with his Sharingan. Then, Kaguya dismissed all of her wood clones and travelled to Hokage Mountain. She still needed to wait a few hours so that the Good Tree could extract Chakra from all the humans and a few hours more after that for the tree to bear the fruit.
In the meantime, Kaguya knew that she needed to come up with some plans for the future…
Kaguya wanted power, which meant she couldn’t give up on anything, so she decided to make a mental list for later convenience…
- Transforming her Byakugan into Tenseigan.
- Claiming the Tenseigan Energy Vessel for herself.
- Extract memories from Kabuto for his extensive knowledge in Medical Jutsu and Edo Tensei.
- Kill Isshiki as soon as possible and take his Kakugan.
- Finding a way to implant Sasuke’s Rinnegan and Isshiki’s Kakugan into herself without giving up anything.
There were a few more things she needed to do, but those could wait. Maybe, she could also implant Obito’s Sharingan along with the Rinnegan and the Kakugan. However, before anything else, she needed to find herself a nice pair of Byakugan from the main family bloodline. In the movie, Naruto: The Last, Toneri might have taken Hanabi’s Byakugan, but Kaguya was planning to do something different.
Hanabi and Hinata were still children, they still had their lives in front of them, but their father… Their father was a completely different story. He gave up his brother to prevent a war, so he should be fine giving up his eyes for the sake of his daughters, right? Kaguya weaved through some hand signs.
“Wood Release: Wood Clone Jutsu” Kaguya said and two roots came out of the ground before transforming into her exact replicas. “Make as many Shadow Clones as you can and send them off to find Hiashi Hyuga” Kaguya ordered. Without wasting any time, her wood clones weaved through the hand signs and thousands of her clones appeared from the smoke.
Moments later, her Shadow Clones flew off to carry out their own tasks, leaving behind the two wood clones. “Zetsu, are there any white Zetsu left?” Kaguya asked.
“Of course, mother” Zetsu answered gleefully, feeling glad that he could be useful for his mother.
“Good, and what about Sharingan eyes?” Kaguya asked curiously.
“Madara and Obito always kept spare Sharingan eyes in stock, but unfortunately, none of them are Mangekyo Sharingan” Zetsu answered, feeling downcast. Even though they were not Mangekyo Sharingan, Kaguya wanted them so that she could use them for Izanagi, just in case. Kaguya was no longer willing to take any chances with her life and she needed as many trump cards as she could have if she wanted to face her clan.
Just like Danzo, she was planning to implant all of the eyes in one of her arms as it would be impossible to plant so many eyes in her palm and she wanted to keep her palms clean as she wasn’t willing to give up using All-Killing Ash Bones and her palms were the most suitable place to use that technique.
While it would be impossible to use the optic abilities of those eyes even with her own unique physiology and extensive medical knowledge of Kabuto, it would be impossible to connect the optic nerves of those eyes to her brain. However, connecting those eyes to her Chakra pathways was going to be extremely simple with Kabuto’s knowledge. If Danzo could do it, then she could most definitely do it, and she could do it better.
And even the eyes were going to drain Chakra from her, it was going to be negligible… Her own reserves at this moment were almost endless…
“Good. What about Obito’s DNA? Do you have it?” Kaguya asked, not willing to give up on Kamui. It was an extremely useful ability to have.
“Yes, mother, I do” Zetsu answered happily, once again happy that he could help his mother.
“First of all, get yourself a body and bring me all the spare eyes along with Obito’s DNA” Kaguya ordered and Zetsu climbed out of her sleeve and disappeared into the ground.
“I want you to go and bring me the other eye of Sasuke Uchiha” She ordered one of the clones and the clone simply opened a portal and stepped through. If she was doing this then why leave the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan? She could already think of a few ways she could use Amaterasu and maybe, grab Tsukiyomi too on the way, and while the others would have said that reanimating someone like him could be dangerous, Kaguya was not worried.
After all, the only powers that made Itachi a threat were his Susanoo and his Genjutsu abilities. However, unfortunately for him, Genjutsu was completely useless against her…
A portal opened and her clone stepped out, holding a normal-looking eye in her hand. Another portal appeared and one of her Shadow Clones stepped out of the portal while dragging Hiashi Hyuga. Kaguya was pleased with how things were progressing. Kaguya ordered the wood clones to dismiss the Shadow Clones as they were no longer necessary.
A few minutes later, Zetsu finally returned while possessing the body of a white Zetsu. “Mather, forgive me, I wasn’t able to bring the eyes as there were too many” Zetsu apologized, looking miserable.
“That is fine, take one of my clones to your hideout and after that, take her to where Kabuto was hiding and bring me Itachi Uchiha’s DNA on the way” Kaguya ordered and Zetsu almost cheered in joy when he realized that Kaguya was willing to forgive him.
“Of course, mother. I will not fail you this time” Zetsu proclaimed proudly before he started to run in the opposite direction with one of her clones following him from behind, but unlike Zetsu, her clone was floating in the air.
“I want you to go and bring me three Shinobi” Kaguya ordered her other clone and the clone simply flew off the mountain as there were abundant Shinobi inside Konoha. Her clone returned only after a moment a portal opened and three Shinobis were tossed out of the portal before her clone stepped through. “They would do” Kaguya nodded her head in satisfaction…
