Chapter 123: Apocalypse: My Tyrant Brother (42)

Xia Min looked at the cashier in the darkness and found that no one was there. He walked further inside carefully and slowly.
The supermarket was not big. There were just a few rows of shelves. Those items on the shelves scattered here and there and some were even on the ground, as if they were knocked over by someone.
Looking around, Xia Min didn’t see anything wrong. He kept walking inside and found a small door in the end. It was not locked and looked like a storage space.
“Be careful, brother.” Xia Liang, following behind him, alerted him with a low voice.
That dark small room was the ideal shelter for monsters. Xia Liang was worried that there might be monsters that may flock out occasionally.
Roar~
Right after she said that, her worried got confirmed.
A middle-age woman in yellow broke out the doom and dashed out with a scream. She threw her arms right at Xia Min.
Whoosh!
While Xia Min dodged backward, he shot the arrow out right into the woman’s forehead and killed her at one shot.
Giving it a few seconds to set, when Xia Min was pretty sure the she-monster was thoroughly dead, he walked forward and pulled out the arrow.
There were no many arrows left in the quiver. He, of course, cherished every one of them for future’s sake.
Xia Liang grabbed the opportunity to take out the flashlight she had been carrying with her all the time, turned it on, and aimed it at the room. She was relieved that she found no monster in there.
“It’s clean, brother.” Xia Liang said.
“Mm.” Xia Min nodded and looked at Xia Liang full of tenderness in his eyes.
In his eyes, his sister was brave and capable, obedient and cooperative. She was incredibly perfect, driving him crazy.
It was only one night. But why did he feel his sister had a brand new soul? Otherwise, why did he have such crazy but wrong feelings for her?
He knew this was wrong and he blamed himself. But deep inside, he didn’t want to make it right at all.
Just because of her and her promise that she would be with him to the end of the world, nothing seemed to matter to him at all.
Even worse, he was secretly but weirdly thrilled that the world was about to come to an end.
Because in the end of the world, no one would care who was going to marry whom. Even if he kept his sister all his life, it was not a problem.
When he became strong enough, even if their parents objected, for the sake of his sister’s safety, he still could…
He shook his head to try to get rid of that crazy idea and yelled at the gate, “It’s clear. You can come in now.”
The others who were waiting outside walked in as they heard Xia Min. The small supermarket became a little crowded with all of them in.
“Ah! Is…is she one of those monsters?” Song Xiaoya screamed in horror as it was her first time to see a monster with her own eyes.
The others who meant to walk forward to see were frightened and subconsciously stepped backward as they saw the nasty-looking she-monster. The good thing was that they didn’t scream out, otherwise it was too embarrassed.
As they saw the horrible look of a monster with their own eyes, the others paid their genuine respect to Xia Min who could kill it. They agreed much more on making Xia Min as their boss.
“Hurry up. Grab as many things as you can.” Xia Min frowned and rushed them coldly.
How could those people possibly understand what extremely dangerous situation they were in? After all, they were protected very well and they had never experienced any of those dangers. They were frightened but they never killed a single monster. They were never hurt or chased by those monsters.
That was why they acted slowly and casually. They were completely off guard.
Xia Liang shook her head in mind because she was disappointed at those slow-moving people.
Biting her lips, Xia Liang started to wonder if she was the reason why those people missed the chance to grow up independently from the beginning.
It was not a good thing for them. Maybe she should remind her brother of not protecting those people every time when they were in danger, because by doing so, they may lose the ability to fight on their own.
