President Qin’s Little Wife Is The Strongest

Chapter 238: Fiery Woman Painting

"Even if you didn't do that, he would have given up eventually," Rong Yue told Qin Yichen as she pulled away from him.

Before Qin Yichen could ask the obvious question, she clarified.

"I didn't know he was following him, but when I entered the garage, it wasn't to sense as it's quiet here."

Qin Yichen smiled. Because he knew that even though Rong Yue might not have approved of his methods, she allowed him to deal with Wang Lei anyhow he wanted.

"For people like him, it's better to make them give up early."

After saying that, he opened the backseat and helped her get into the car before he entered right after her.

Rong Yue was already sleepy and she fell asleep immediately with her body leaning against Qin Yichen. As for Qin Yichen, he brought out his iPad and got some work done.

At the same time, a message came in from Lu Bo.

Lu Bo: [Master, the Nile Group has declared their bankruptcy publicly. About the shares that we just bought?]

Qin Yichen: Leave them there.

That amount of money wasn't enough to make him feel anything. And somehow, a part of him trusted Rong Yue too much.

Since she told him to buy those shares, then he was going to stick by that decision.

Time flew fast and inside the Art Gathering, besides the four masters, ten of the best painting masters in their Association were all standing in front of one work each.

All of them held a book and a pen in their hand. After standing in front of a work, they would score the work without discussing anything with another person.

Also, to not waste too much time, each person had about five minutes in front of each work, this meant that they had a total of fifty minutes for the scoring process.

"Why is it that all of them leave that middle work without giving a score," President Pei murmured as he watched the expressions of the other ones.

As the president, he was the one that decided the way they were going to judge the work so he stepped aside from the decision making. Other than him, Master Wang and the other two didn't join the scoring process too.

After fifty minutes was up. Everyone handed their scoring sheets to President Pei.

With the assistance of the secretary, President Pei had the scores totaled and then divided by ten.

"Heh? Why does the exhibition 72 have no scoring at all?" For the work to enter the top ten, it meant that the person had some level of skill but seeing that it had no marks at all, made him very surprised.

Grandfather Wang and the others also had curious expressions and looked at the faces of the painting masters that had scored the works.

"Ehen, that work, I was too worried about giving it an inappropriate score." Someone spoke up after some seconds.

"An inappropriate score? Someone bring exhibit 72 let me have a look." President Pei ordered.

Very quickly, the painting was brought done and brought to a closer distance for the four masters to have a look at.

Upon seeing it, the four of them had very similar expressions.

"This…"

"Isn't it too deep for someone of this generation?" Grandfather Wang asked, his eyes not leaving the painting at all.

However, there was also a smile swirling in his eyes as he could feel something familiar about the painting.

If nothing went wrong, he was sure that Rong Yue was the owner of the painting.

"I agree. Other than the flawless technique, his understanding and perspective of the theme is a little too deep. Even a person as old as me might not have thought of this." President Pei said. His eyes held deep admiration and praise for the work.

But there was also a hint of pride in the way he spoke.

Grandfather Wang picked up on it and replied calmly.

"His? How can you be certain that the painter is a man?"

"Hahaha… there are not many people that can do a thing like this in our country. I think it's quite clear as to who created this." I'm his opinion, only Du Yating was capable of doing something like this so President Pei believed that he was the one that owned the painting,

The painting in question was indeed incredible. Almost all of the canvas had been covered in black. Deep black that made it a little frightening.

However, all of this darkness converged at the middle of the canvas. In that middle, there was a woman seated with fiery hair.

Her hair was fiery red and there was a stream of light that seemed to be pushing out from the woman.

If one looked carefully. They would be able to see that while all of that darkness seemed to be entering the woman with the fiery red hair, what came out of her was light. Bright orange and golden light.

The more important thing was, that shade was the exact color of her hair.

It was as though, even when she allowed all of that darkness to enter her, she didn't let it affect her.

Like she had refined it like a cultivator and brought out something else.

If one wanted to relate it to the theme, it simply told the viewer that, although there was a lot of darkness in them, they couldn't let that darkness take over.

They couldn't let the darkness corrode then from the inside and then come out of them.

The painter wasn't consoling the viewer.

Instead, the message was telling them to fight. To fight the grief and channel it into something else.

The climax of the painting was that the woman in the lotus position had her fists clenched tightly too.

The painter had even shown the little bulging of her veins.

A work like this, was simply too perfect!

The more they looked, the more shocked the masters were.

"This work is the clear winner." President Pei shouted.

"A skill like this, finally our country won't be losing out this year!" His excitement was contagious and the other three nodded in agreement.

Although they all had their own selfish interests, deep down, they were all art fanatics.

Also, at this moment, no one knew who had made this painting, so, it was easier for their hearts to just admire it and forget about the struggles.

Let's see the top five that you all scored before.

The top five works based on the scoring was placed on small canvas holders for the masters to look at them.

"The one ranking first from your score sheet would be second. Although it is very good and the painter has a lot of potential, it is still a far cry from this fiery woman painting." As President Pei talked, he pointed at the painting of a man with a large luggage on his back.

That painting was then covered with a cardboard that read second and then placed aside.

"The one you guys scored second and third are in a tie. But that work with the smile is quite uplifting. Although it's simple, but the soul contained in this work is very strong. A person that's suffering from grief can at least have their heart stroked with memories upon seeing that childlike smile,"

Grandmaster Wang said as he pointed at a portrait. The face was large as the painter didn't intend to reveal much about the owner of the face.

However, the smile was truly too soul stirring. When he looked at it, he couldn't help but remember the moments in his life that had made him smile this hard.

The other two agreed and the painting was given the third position

The one that tied with it was then given the fourth position.

As for the fifth position. It was given to a garden like painting.

The other plants in the garden were all wilted but there was one that stood strong.

It was good but not too good.

While the person had thought of a perfect scene for the theme, their skills were a little weak and the painting didn't carry any soul. It didn't make one feel too deeply about the painter.

Also, because it didn't carry any soul, it made the message a little confusing.

However, the next work was even mediocre compared to this, they could only give it the fifth position.

The masters too didn't mind as they knew that the major people that would represent their country were the first three.

"Go and inform them that the results have been finalized." President Pei said as he leaned back in his seat.

They had originally thought that they would not be able to finish picking the top five today but the gaps in strengths made it easy for them.

As for President Pei, he had the brightest smile at this moment because he felt that only one person was capable of creating that best work.

And that was his best disciple, Du Yating!
