POKEMON : THE WAY OF PERCEPTION

Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Geodude vs. Beedrill

Beedrill rushed toward Geodude with remarkable speed. Although the distance between them was nearly 80 meters, Beedrill was closing the gap quickly. The range of Beedrill's String Shot was limited, so Ash knew it would only be effective after getting close to Geodude.

In just a few seconds, Beedrill had covered 50 meters and used its Bug-type energy to fire off a String Shot. The string of silk threads flew through the air, targeting Geodude with precision.

However, Brock remained calm and confident. "It's not that simple!" he said. Glancing at the terrain and his Pokémon's position, he immediately ordered, "Hide behind the rock!"

Geodude, though slow, used the nearby large rock to its advantage. It moved behind the rock and took cover, preventing the String Shot from hitting. The silk threads bounced harmlessly off the rock, and Ash lost sight of Geodude.

Taking advantage of this moment, Brock ordered Geodude to counterattack. "Rock Slide!" he commanded. Geodude, hidden behind the rock, roared and summoned a barrage of rocks from the ground. Large, sharp stones flew toward Beedrill from above, nearly twenty in total, creating a massive attack that covered a wide area.

"Beedrill, dodge the attack!" Ash quickly shouted. Despite being in a challenging situation, he knew Beedrill could handle it. Although it had only recently evolved, Beedrill had been trained alongside Ash's other Pokémon and was accustomed to quick maneuvers.

Beedrill's wings fluttered, and it skillfully maneuvered through the gap between the falling rocks. With expert precision, Beedrill avoided the majority of the attack, narrowly escaping several rocks that fell around it.

"Very lean, without any superfluous movements!" Brock observed, impressed by Beedrill's agility. He couldn't help but admire its skills. Beedrill's movements were graceful and precise, much more fluid than he had anticipated.

As the rocks continued to fall, a cloud of dust filled the arena. Ash saw an opening and decided to strike. "Beedrill, charge at Geodude and use Twineedle!"

Beedrill darted forward, its needles glowing with Bug-type energy. With a swift charge, it aimed for Geodude, who was still behind the rocks. Ash knew this was his chance to land a powerful blow.

However, Brock was prepared. He quickly anticipated Ash's move and reacted. "Rollout, Geodude!" he ordered, and Geodude curled up into a ball, its body surrounded by Rock-type energy. It rolled forward with impressive speed, charging directly toward Beedrill.

Ash smirked, confident that Beedrill could evade Geodude's slow, predictable attack. "Beedrill, don't back down! Dodge and counter!" he commanded.

Beedrill's wings fluttered rapidly, its body twisting and weaving as it skillfully dodged the oncoming Geodude. When the distance between the two was less than two meters, Beedrill made a quick maneuver, sidestepping to the left just in time to avoid Geodude's attack. Geodude missed, crashing into a rock and causing the momentum to stop.

Ash saw the opportunity and immediately ordered Beedrill to turn around and pursue. With remarkable speed, Beedrill closed the gap and, without hesitation, charged at Geodude. The Stone Pokémon was still recovering from its failed attack, and Beedrill's timing was perfect.

"Twineedle, now!" Ash shouted, and Beedrill struck twice with incredible precision. The sharp needles pierced Geodude with both attacks, sending the Rock-type Pokémon flying several meters backward.

The force of the attack, combined with the critical hit, caused Geodude's health to drop significantly. Beedrill's ability, Snipe Shot, amplified the impact, ensuring that the damage was even greater. Geodude's defenses were strong, but the combination of Beedrill's skill and poison-infused attack was too much. A purple aura surrounded Geodude as it became poisoned, signaling the beginning of a status condition.

Brock's eyes widened in shock. "It's really not that simple... You're indeed a Poké Ball-level trainer!" he admitted, clearly impressed by Ash's strategy. He hadn't expected Beedrill to perform so well in this battle, and the quick thinking shown by Ash was remarkable.

Although Geodude had been severely weakened, Brock didn't give up hope. "We're still in this! Geodude, you've got this!" he called, rallying his Pokémon. Geodude may have been hurt, but Brock believed that a well-timed strike could still turn the tide of battle in his favor.

"Geodude, Bulldoze!" Brock commanded, his voice filled with determination. The air around them seemed to crackle with tension as Geodude summoned the power of Ground-type energy. It slammed its fist into the ground, and the resulting shockwave spread outward in all directions, shaking the battlefield.

"Boom!" The ground trembled beneath Ash's feet as the shockwave hit, sending a powerful wave of energy toward Beedrill. Bulldoze was a ranged attack, and without the ability to fly or levitate, Beedrill was in danger of being hit by the attack. Ash's heart raced as he realized the gravity of the situation.

"Beedrill, you have to dodge!" Ash shouted, hoping Beedrill could avoid the powerful move. Geodude's Bulldoze attack would be difficult to evade, but Ash believed in Beedrill's agility and reflexes.

The dust from the previous rock slide still lingered in the air, obscuring vision. Ash clenched his fists in anticipation, knowing this next move could determine the outcome of the match.

Would Beedrill be able to dodge the attack and turn the tide in Ash's favor, or would Geodude's powerful Bulldoze spell disaster? Only time would tell.
