The Abra show
[Welcome back my fellow disciples to the best show on the planet, 'Are you courting Death!?' episode 16.] Abra said excitedly.
Bill's Alakazam looked frustrated and done with life, [I can't believe you're still making me do this]
[Well believe it senior brother because since our last episode, 'That Orphanage was just the start' we have broken through the top 200! Another step closer to defeating that dastardly Chansey with her no.1 'Second Chanseys' show]
[You really shouldn't say that out of context,] Alakazam said looking worried.
[Why it isn't nearly as bad as some of the other things we have said, like the thing about the-] Abra tried to say before her psychic connection was cut off.
[That's enough of that can we just get this over with, we have an hour and it isn't an episode without spending 10 minutes talking about nothing.]
Abra was given control again, [Fine if you insist then, let's get right into the news!]
Alakazam sighed and picked up a piece of paper he had, [Well I guess that's my part, in a small town the mythical Black mist of the second dimension- what even is this?]
[Just read it!] Abra said
[Fine, yada yada, here we go, the black mist attacked the village whose name and location will be kept private, but before any problems could occur a group of powerful heroes showed up, one of which was gym leader Sabrina, together they subdued and eliminated the threat. Why are you making me read it like this?]
[Bad senior brother you changed my script, I made that for you] Abra pouted.
[Anyway let's talk about that and end this show before I have a mental breakdown] Alakazam said in a sleepy tone.
—
Fuji was a man with an impressive portfolio, a renowned scientist, an ex-Team Rocket member, one of the founders of Silph, the man who created the first prototype Master ball, and a Pokemon caretaker.
Of Course, all but the last ones are behind him, these days he spends tending to Pokemon with his granddaughter Reina. But even on the most peaceful days, he remembers the day he left Team Rocket.
[Very well for your contributions you will be let go of your position in Team Rocket, I promise no harm will come to your friends and family and especially not your granddaughter as long as you do not leak our information or get in Team Rocket business.]
Those were the last words that Giovanni said to him, although he trusts Giovanni's words he keeps thinking that there must be something he missed, a loophole that Giovanni would abuse. Those were the feelings that kept him up at night.
But for the most part, he lived a simple and enjoyable life, until one day when he went to tend to the floors of the Pokémon Tower, he was told he didn't have to do it, that it wasn't his job, he should have listened.
–
Ash looked at his new catch, satisfied, and so returned Scyther to his ball, he would run some experiments later but first, he wanted to find Mr. Fuji, a good start would be the Pokémon House or orphanage.
But just as he was about to turn to leave he heard talking from the floor above, he was on the 6th floor and the top was the 7th that was normally off limits, so he decided to get closer to the stairs and hide behind one of the pillars to hear better.
Liasoning in normally there seemed to be 3 people having a conversation, but when he enhanced his hearing with Aura he could hear 5 people breathing, 1 was a lot more panicked and labored than the rest.
Upstairs away from Ash was Fuji surrounded by 4 men with back uniforms, they were Team Rocket.
2 had Fuji by the arms and the other 2 were questioning him, "Last chance old man, before we have to make things get ugly, tell us the plans for the Master Ball."
"I told you already I don't have it, and even if I did I wouldn't give it to the likes of you." Fuji shot back.
The grunt sighed in annoyance, "Fine then we need to do this the hard way,"
"So what, torture we both know I may be old but that will never work, and you can't Kill me either nor can you hurt anyone close to me, there's nothing you can do to touch me," Fuji said smiling
"You may be right about that, but we have ways to make you talk without touching you," the grunt said leaning in, turning to the other grunts holding him, "Let's take him to the secret base, the one around the bridge." the grunt said putting a gag on Fuji.
The grunts nodded and dragged poor Fuji out and down the stairs, when they went down a lore the 4th grunt noticed something out of the corner of his eye, looking at it he saw a pillar and could have sworn he saw something behind it.
He signaled for everyone to stop and approached the Pillar, and when he looked back he saw nothing, he gave himself a slap, "All this mist must be getting to me, It was nothing Guys!"
"Right well, we need someone to stay behind so we can get out without anyone noticing, I guess since you seem to be going insane you should be a good fit." the first grunt jokes, but was also serious.
The grunt begrudgingly nodded and went over to sit on the stairs and pulled out his phone, "Fine, but I'll go back in about 30 minutes so hurry up."
The grunts nodded and left their friend behind, meanwhile from above a pair of glowing eyes shined looking down at the grunt and dropped catching him off guard.
The figure jumped on the grunt knocking him to the floor with one foot on his head and the other on one of his arms, meanwhile, the second arm was being uncomfortably held behind him.
The figure was Ash who was hiding on the ceiling and heard everything, "So I hear you're taking Mr.Fuji somewhere."
"So what's it to you, you brat-" the grunt said but was cut off by Ash pulling on his arm.
"I'll be asking the question, now tell me what you're after and where you are taking Fuji," Ash said in the most menacing voice he could make with this pre-teen voice.
"And why would I tell y-aahh" the grunt tried to mock but was stopped by the pain in his arm.
"Good and I thought this would be boring," Ash said with a smile.
The Pokemon tower didn't have windows, but it did have places where you would think windows would be, carved from the stone, so taking a page from his top 3 superheroes Batman, he grabbed him by the foot with one arm and held the grunt out the hole.
"Wa-your crazy, what are you doing!" the grunt yelled out
"I said I'm doing the questions, now talk before my arm gets tired,"
"N-no your Bluffing," the grunt said in a panic
"Try me," Ash said squinting his eyes
The grunt widened his eyes in fear, "Ok ok I'll talk just put me back inside."
"You're not in the position to make demands, now talk my arm is getting tired."
"Ok we were here to get Fuji to reveal the plans for the Master ball since he was part of the team who created the first one, and in the event that he doesn't tell us anything we would take him back to the base in town!"
"And where would that be,"
"In the sewers, the base is using an abandoned railroad that is connected to the sewers, other than that there is no way in, but the way they're going is blocked by a passcode and I don't know the code."
"My arm is getting tired," Ash said slowly letting his pinky and ring finger go.
"Wait, there is another entrance, under the bridge outside of town, the one to the west of the city you can't miss it, but there's usually a Guard or two."
"Perfect that's what I like to hear," Ash said letting the Grunt back inside.
"So you'll let me go," the Grunt said hopefully.
"No," Ash said before slamming his head into the pillar knocking him out and throwing him aside.
Then he started racing down the stairs to get out as soon as he could, when he got to the bottom floors he noticed that a lot of it was covered in black smoke, and people had to evacuate, no doubt a Koffing.
He went ahead and slipped an anonymous tip that there was a Team Rocket grunt on the upper floors, why you may ask if he can snitch about him, why would they believe him?
Getting out of the tower he ran towards the bridge near the west side to investigate, the streets were empty so moving was easy and when he got to the bridge in question he looked around.
It was hidden from plain sight but if you looked carefully under the bridge there was a door, with a bit more effort there were two grunts in fully black suits hiding in the dark as well, both had a Koffing by their sides.
Ash sighed and released Poliwrath mumbling under his breath, "Things can never be easy, Poliwrath you mind?"
Poliwrath saluted and jumped off the bridge onto one of the Koffing and started punching it multiple times, the 2 grunts and the other Koffing looked surprised as the Koffing got dragged through the cement and thrown to the side.
The muscular frog on top of it used the Koffing as a boost to deliver a Liquidation onto the second Koffing all in one motion before anyone could react.
The grunts were shocked to see this, and then they heard the sounds of footsteps on stone stairs, looking back they saw Ash walking down with his hands in his pockets.
Grunt 1 stood up and walked over, "Hey you, you got some nerve coming here this is a private project so beat it."
"Hey this guy has nice clothes and a strong Pokemon, how about he leaves both and we'll consider leaving him with all his bones intact." the second grunt stood next to his partner and gave a smile.
Meanwhile Poliwrath in the background was still mercilessly punching the floating rocks, "Do you really wanna do this, because this is what is going to happen you are going to run at me I'm going to grab you by the face and use you to beat your buddy."
The first grunt laughed and started walking towards Ash with his buddy closely behind both chuckling to themselves as Ash just gave the most bored look.
The first guy pulled back his fist and aimed a wild haymaker directly at Ash's face, Ash just did a side step dodging the hit, "I warned you," he said before grabbing his arm and flipping him over his shoulder and slamming him into the ground so hard he bounced on the concrete.
Then as they were both still processing what happened Ash grabbed him by the leg and used him like a hammer to hit his partner in the face sending them both onto the ground.
They both stumbled back up and decided to try to take the matter a bit more seriously, the first bigger grunt ran forward and his buddy pulled out a pocket knife to run ahead.
The second guy aimed to try and stab Ash but he took a sidestep and used his arms to redirect him into the wall, meanwhile, the second grunt tried to deliver a kick at Ash since he was distracted.
Ash dodged and used his leg to sweep the grunt off his feet causing him to fall into the cement again.
Meanwhile, the second guy started running at Ash again so he used his other leg to kick a broken piece of the bridge at him hitting him in the head disorienting him, enough time for Ash to deliver a knee to the abdomen making him keel over.
The first guy again tried to get up to deliver a sneak attack behind Ash, but before he could get in close vines appeared from behind and grabbed him by the face then pulled him back.
When Ash looked back what he saw was the grunt wrapped up in thick vines coming from a Pokemon that looked to be entirely made of vines, a Tangela, next to the Tangela was a girl.
She was a slender young woman with pale skin and short black hair with cut bangs, brown eyes, an elegant kimono with a sash, a hairband, and Japanese sandals. Ash immediately recognized her as Erika.
"Well I think I deserve an explanation as to what all this commotion is about, don't you agree gentlemen," Erika said smiling, but somehow also menacingly, aiming the look at both Ash and the two grunts.
