Pokemon: Bond Evolutions of Pokémon

Chapter 8: 8. VS. Gary

Gary must have been lost in this forest for a while to use a Hoothoot.

Ash and his team trained in the Donphan Valley for two days, but they still caught up with him here.

Gary came to the Johto Region before the rest of the group, but this guy was still stubborn, saying that he had tamed several Pokémon in this forest and lost count of time to them without knowing it.

Ash suppressed his words and pursed his lips and didn't say much on this subject.

Under the leadership of Gary's Hoothoot, and Ash's ability to detect the locations of the Ghost Pokémon, the group of four quickly walked out of the confusing forest and arrived at the nearby town.

Since it was already getting late, Ash and Gary decided to go to the Pokémon Center to rest for the night before starting the battle early the next morning.

So early the next morning.

"The battle between Ash and Gary begins now. Each person is limited to one Pokémon. Start now!"

"Come on, my sweetheart, Blastoise!"

"It's up to you, Charizard!"

Blastoise looks very brave. This is Gary's starter Pokémon, and it was trained very well by him.

I have to say that although Gary is a annoying guy and likes to show off, he is still very genuine about his love for his Pokémon.

But now Charizard's momentum is not weak at all!

"Your Charizard seems to have become stronger! But the disadvantage in typing is irreparable!" Gary gave a rare compliment, "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"

Two huge water jets spurted out from the cannons on Blastoise's shoulders.

"Charizard, dodge and get closer!"

The water type move is super effective against Charizard, so it would be a big deal if it hits.

However, Ash remained calm in the face of danger. As the bond value continued to increase, the tacit understanding between him and Charizard also continued to deepen.

After the Macho Brace training, Charizard gained new understanding of his own speed.

The moment Hydro Pump sprayed out, it flew low and avoided the attack, approaching Blastoise.

"Dragon Claw!"

The cyan Dragon Claw was swung at Blastoise from bottom to top, knocking Blastoise's huge and heavy body away.

"What the?!"

Gary looked at the scene in front of him in disbelief, but his reaction was very fast.

"Blastoise, Rapid Spin!"

Blastoise landed smoothly through Rapid Spin.

"Charizard, Flamethrower!"

This time, Ash and Charizard took the lead in attacking. Fire attacks may not be effective against Blastoise, but they can still be effective in the correct situation.

"Use Rapid Spin again!"

Gary did an excellent job with Blastoise's training, and the whirlwind set off by Rapin Spin blew away the flames of Charizard.

But at this moment, Ash and Charizard's attack came again!

Seeing this, Gary immediately reacted, "Damn it, Ash has grown more clever!"

The ineffective Flamethrower was clearly used to confuse him and Blastoise!

"Use Dragon Claw!"

However, Charizard's Dragon Claw was not successfully used this time! This means that Ash lost the opportunity to attack.

"What a pity!" Misty, who was watching the battle sighed, then stood up and shouted, "Ash, Charizard, come on!"

Seeing Charizard looking at his paws in confusion, Ash laughed and said, "Charizard, do your best next time!"

"Cha!"

Gary and Blastoise had regained their strength, "Damn it, Ash, are you just treating me as a sparring partner?"

Charizard's Dragon Claw really shocked Gary, but he didn't expect that this skill was just learned. Gary immediately figured out Ash's plan and couldn't help but get angry.

"Haha, Gary, don't be angry!" Since the other party guessed it, Ash admitted it openly and laughed.

His friendship with Gary meant that he wouldn't mind this.

This is the best sparring partner. Now that I have met him, he will certainly not let him go!

"Charizard, come on! Flamethrower!"

"Hmph, don't expect the same trick to work on me again, Blastoise, use Hydro Pump to counterattack!"

The fire column and the water column came into contact in the center of the site, producing a large amount of water vapor that filled the entire site.

"Blastoise, use Headbutt!"

"Charizard, use Dragon Claw!"

Inside the water vapor, Ash and Gary spontaneously started a melee battle with their Pokémon.

"Roar!"

In the water vapor, Charizard's cry of pain could be heard!

"Ash, the flame on Charizard's tail is like a guiding light! Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Gary laughed with high spirits, as if he had a chance to win.

But after he gave the order, there was no Hydro Pump skill to break out of the water vapor.

"What happened?"

Gary didn't see Ash's lips curl into a smile, and Gary thought he couldn't see what was happening in the water vapor.

Little did he know that his Aura kept him in control of everything. Gary would use Hydro Pump to fight Flamethrower, which he expected.

He knows Gary and his personality is very ambitious and will not be willing to be his sparring partner.

Sure enough, after the water vapor dissipated, Charizard clutched his stomach and panted, obviously injured.

But Blastoise had lost the ability to fight and fell to the ground.

"Blastoise!" Gary exclaimed, but he quickly reacted, "Come back! You did a good job!"

"Blastoise loses the ability to fight and Charizard wins, so the winner is, Ash!"

Brock was the referee, and the duel between the fierce rivals came to an end for the time being.

"Ash, you have really become stronger!" Gary stood in front of Ash and stretched out his hand, "Let the final showdown be left to the Johto Silver Conference! I have to continue to become stronger, plus I can't let you caught up to me!"

Gary, like Ash, can accept the outcome of the battle calmly.

"I won this time, and I will definitely win next time!" Ash smiled, stretched out his hand and shook hands with Gary.

Charizard: 195/255
