"It turns out that Iron Tail wasn't used to fight back, but to channel electricity into the ground. Just after Raichu's electricity hit Pikachu, all of it was guided safely into the ground through Pikachu's tail."

Looking at the damaged ground around Pikachu, Brock understood why Pikachu was unharmed. Glancing at Ash standing ahead, he realized that Ash had already thought of a way to handle Raichu's electric attacks.

"What! There's a way to do that?"

Lt. Surge was also shocked upon hearing Brock's explanation. He hadn't expected such a strategy.

"It's our turn now, Pikachu! Let's show them the results of our training—Splishy Splash!" Seeing the astonished crowd, Ash seized the opportunity to attack.

As Pikachu's eyes flashed, a red light suddenly burst forth. Pikachu's spirit surged, and an inexplicable bond seemed to form between Trainer and Pokémon.

"Pikaaa!!"

Pikachu balanced itself on its tail, slowly sinking, while its tail tightened like a spring. At the same time, Pikachu released a Thunderbolt that surrounded its body. In the next moment, Pikachu launched itself into the air with a powerful bounce from its tail.

"What? What kind of move is that?"

Looking up, Lt. Surge had never seen such a technique. Even Brock and Misty were puzzled. They only knew that Ash and Pikachu had been practicing Surf recently.

They didn't know what Splishy Splash was, but Pikachu leaped into the sky, charged with electricity. Suddenly, the sound of waves echoed through the arena.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

From the fractured battlefield below, water gushed out of the cracks like an underground spring. A massive wave quickly formed, covering the entire arena.

"Pika-pii!!"

Pikachu cried out in excitement and landed on the towering wave. As soon as the electricity around Pikachu's body touched the water, the current spread rapidly through the giant wave.

The huge wave, now crackling with electricity, surged forward like an unstoppable force toward Raichu. The sight of the massive wave looming overhead left Raichu frozen in fear.

"What… what kind of move is this? Pikachu can use Surf?" Lt. Surge stared in disbelief. Living in a seaside city, he had never seen anything like this.

This wasn't just Surf—it was something far more powerful. The sheer size of the wave made it impossible for Raichu to evade.

"Raichu, quick! Use Thunderbolt to stop it!" Lt. Surge wasn't ready to give up and called out to Raichu.

"Thunder!!!"

Raichu prepared to launch a counterattack, gathering electricity around its body, ready to unleash another Thunderbolt. But just as it charged up...

"Pika-pii!!!"

The electricity on Raichu's body flickered out, vanishing in an instant. Raichu wore a startled expression.

"What!!" Lt. Surge was even more shocked, while Ash couldn't help but laugh.

"Out of power? Looks like all that rushing drained its energy."

"Darn it!"

**Boom!!!**

Before Lt. Surge could react, the massive wave crashed down, completely engulfing Raichu. The force of the water submerged Raichu in an instant.

At the same time, all the electricity within the wave surged into Raichu. While Raichu wasn't normally afraid of electric attacks, its energy had already been drained. Now, being in the water only amplified Pikachu's power.

The attack may not have dealt significant damage, but it left Raichu paralyzed—giving Ash the perfect opening.

"Pikachu, use Electro Ball!"

"Pikaaaa—Chupi!!"

Pikachu leapt from the top of the crashing wave, flicking its tail. A glowing, golden Energy Ball formed at its tip. With a swift movement, Pikachu hurled the Electro Ball downwards. It skimmed across the surface of the water, racing toward Raichu.

Raichu, floating with its upper body just above the wave, looked up just in time to see the Energy Ball speeding toward it.

*Boom!!!*

Raichu screamed as the Electro Ball struck. The force of the explosion sent Raichu flying out of the water. Pikachu landed back on the ground, and Ash quickly gave his next command.

"Pikachu, finish it off with Iron Tail!"

As Pikachu descended from the air, its tail gleamed with a metallic shine. Twisting its body mid-air, Pikachu swung its tail downwards.

*Boom!!!*

The Iron Tail struck Raichu with tremendous force. Raichu howled as the impact slammed it back into the collapsing wave. The blow was so powerful that it cut through the wave, sending Raichu crashing to the ground beneath the water. The massive wave lost its balance and collapsed, scattering water in all directions.

"Raichu!!" Lt. Surge called out, his voice filled with worry.

Amidst the mist and smoke, it was hard to see what had happened, but the confidence in Lt. Surge's eyes began to fade. Ash, on the other hand, remained calm, waiting for the dust to settle.

As the water and smoke slowly cleared, the battlefield lay in ruins, with stagnant pools of water everywhere.

In a deep pit at the center of the field, Raichu lay motionless, its eyes swirling in defeat, while Pikachu stood next to it, panting heavily.

"This... Raichu is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!"

"With all of Lt. Surge's Pokémon defeated, the winner is Ash from Pallet Town!" The gym assistants, initially shocked, quickly announced the result of the match.

"I... my Raichu... lost to Pikachu?" Lt. Surge stood there in disbelief. It felt like a dream—his powerful Raichu had actually been beaten by Pikachu.

At that moment, Pikachu excitedly ran back to Ash's side. Ash knelt down, gently patting Pikachu's head. Lt. Surge stared at the boy before him, deeply shaken by what had just happened.
