Chapter 10: Freya

Chapter 10

We found the forge quite quickly, by the characteristic sound of hammer blows on metal. The forge seemed to be made not as a single building, but as if at first there was just a small forge, and then rooms were gradually added to it. But now it was not that that was important to us, but the muscular white-haired woman who could be seen from the open door of the forge. The woman was honestly quite good, her muscles were not excessive, but just enough to stand out slightly and only emphasize her athletic figure. When we approached, she apparently had already finished.

"Wait a minute." Having said this, she lowered the blade into something that I can only assume was oil, but when quenched, the liquid slightly ignited with a purple color, so it was clearly not just simple oil.

Putting aside the hardened blade, the girl looked at us and asked: "What did you want, children?"

-We wanted to buy from you 2 training swords, spears and bows with arrows, and also hoped for the opportunity to become your apprentices and learn to forge.

- Hm. As for the training equipment, it will cost you 30,000 precious and I also wouldn't mind taking you on as a part-time worker because it seems like you won't have any trouble carrying large amounts of things. However, as for the apprenticeship, I have no reason to teach you for nothing, and you're unlikely to have 1,000,000 precious a month. So you're out of luck here.

Even though Elsa and I had accomplished most of our goals for today, I couldn't help but be upset at the missed opportunity to get a blacksmithing teacher. And the only thing I could do was use a dirty trick on any blacksmith.

"If I let you explore, naturally without damaging the spear made from the claw of a heavenly dragon, dragons and star spirits, will you change your mind?" I asked hopefully.

- Made by dragons, you say? - the blacksmith asked with obvious doubt. - Well, show me this tool and if it really is what you say, then I will teach you for free. - the woman answered, clearly sure that this was just a little girl's joke.

Since there was no point in delaying, I summoned my spear and the room was immediately filled with pressure and an insane feeling of sharpness that emanated from the spear, and the white-haired blacksmith looked at the spear with trepidation.

-Girl. If you let me examine this spear for a week, I will not only teach you everything I know, but I will also personally give you combat analogues for free, in addition to training equipment.

"Okay, but I don't want to offend you or anything like that, but it's worth making a magical contract," I answered contentedly.

-Shake on it. And by the way, your new master's name is Freya the Lightbringer! Remember that.

- Nice to meet you master. My name is Wendy the Wonderful and I am also a storm dragon slayer.

-And my name is Elsa Belserion, the mage of re-equipment and telekinesis. Nice to meet you, master.

It didn't take long to draw up the contract, and an hour later Elsa and I were loaded with training gear and several combat swords, spears, and bows of various sizes, which, although non-magical, were of very high quality. Elsa also kept a copy of the contract in her space. As a result, we agreed that starting tomorrow, twice a week, we would be taught blacksmithing, and everything that we made would either be ours or sent for sale, depending on whose raw materials were used. If the raw materials were Freya's, the products would be sent for sale, unless she decided to give them to us herself, and we would receive 20% of the sale. If the raw materials were ours, the final product would be ours, and if we decided to give them for sale, 95% of the amount received would be ours. There would also be another extension to the forge especially for us, but we would have to pay 200,000 precious ones for it within a year, but we would be able to come and use it at any time. In general, Elsa and I returned completely satisfied with ourselves and, having put our things in their new places, I began to prepare dinner for us.

I actually cooked the most ordinary chebureki, which anyone can make. I poured flour into a bowl, broke 2 eggs into it, put a teaspoon of salt, added a little water and started kneading the dough. When the dough was ready, I took the meat and with the help of wind magic ground it into mince, which I mixed with spices, and then everything was simple. I tore off small pieces of dough, rolled it out and after putting the mince, gave it the desired shape, then all that was needed was to add more oil so that the chebureki literally floated in it and fry. The most important thing when sculpting was that the dough turned out thin and voila, a delicious dinner is ready and all you need is ketchup. Naturally, you can't eat like this often, after all, it's not very healthy. But it was really nice to see that my friend liked my cooking, and I myself love chebureki. As for our planned workouts? Since it was already getting dark outside, we decided to leave training for tomorrow after training in the forge.
