People are writing diaries in Douluo, Bibi Dong is crazy about it

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Wait for Me

Bibi Dong waited anxiously for two days until her confidant, tasked with investigating Yu Xiaogang, rushed into her boudoir.

"Miss, according to the information sent back by pigeon from the Heaven Dou Empire, the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family does indeed have a direct descendant named Yu Xiaogang.

He is the second son of Yu Yuanzhen, the patriarch of the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family. His martial soul has mutated, and his cultivation progress is extremely slow. At 15 or 16 years old, his soul power is less than level 20. He poses no threat to our temple."

Bibi Dong, who had been combing her long, waterfall-like hair, paused mid-stroke. Narrowing her eyes, she hadn't expected the man named Yu Xiaogang to truly exist.

Moreover, his martial soul mutation and his paltry cultivation progress—exactly as described in "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary"—painted him as a complete waste.

Bibi Dong suddenly felt a pang of disbelief. Could it be possible that in the future, she'd be blind enough to be attracted to such a pathetic man? Was it his appearance, then? Could Yu Xiaogang be handsome enough to fit her aesthetic preferences?

That seemed unlikely. Bibi Dong had encountered many handsome men before. How could she fall for someone so useless, even to the extent of turning against her teacher for him?

The more she thought about it, the more irritated she became. Coldly, she issued a warning to her confidant.

"You are dismissed. Remember: you must keep this investigation to yourself. If word of this reaches my teacher or the elders, you already know the consequences."

The icy threat sent shivers down the confidant's spine. Although the young lady was typically kind and innocent, she clearly had her means. Should her teacher or the elders learn of this, he knew he wouldn't live to tell the tale.

He nodded respectfully. "Miss, rest assured. I will not utter a single word of this, and I will ensure others remain silent as well."

"Good," Bibi Dong replied, her cold gaze following him as he left. Danger flickered in her eyes, intensifying with each passing moment.

"Hmph, Yu Xiaogang… You dare deceive my feelings? You are courting death. Even if those events have yet to happen, your very existence is a sin that cannot be forgiven. Wait for me."

With a sharp *crack*, the wooden comb in her hand snapped. She carelessly tossed it to the ground and stood up.

Today was the day she and Elder Ju would lead a team to Soto City. After breakfast, she would bid farewell to her teacher and set out. Yet, apprehension lingered in her heart. What would happen once she clashed with her teacher?

In "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary", her future self's betrayal was described as the darkest moment of her life, a choice that came at a painful price.

But how? Her teacher had always cherished her, even doted on her. After all, he had named her the Saintess of the Spirit Hall and planned to make her the next Pope.

No matter how much Bibi Dong racked her brain, she couldn't imagine the circumstances that would lead to such a steep price. Unfortunately, Zhao Ling's diary had offered no useful updates in the past two days—just a string of trivial complaints:

[I'm so frustrated. Ever since Ah Yin came back from doing laundry, she hasn't left the house much. The few times she went out, she was with the neighbors. How am I supposed to run into her?]

[Aunt Shen, you're impossible! Why do you keep visiting Ah Yin's house every time I try to talk to her? You even blocked me with a pole! What did I ever do to you?]

[Fine, you old hag. Mess with me once, twice—but not three times! I'm a Title Douluo, after all. Do you really want me to lose my temper?]

[But no, I held back. Instead, I knocked your son out, tied him to a tree, and let him sunbathe for hours. Hmph, serves you right for meddling with my business.]

Reading these updates left Bibi Dong speechless. Still, she gathered that Zhao Ling was a man of restraint.

Despite being blocked by an ordinary woman, he hadn't resorted to violence. Instead, his "revenge" was tying her son to a tree for a few hours. Compared to other murderous Title Douluo, who wouldn't hesitate to wipe out entire families over such slights, Zhao Ling's actions were surprisingly mild.

While Bibi Dong was left baffled, Ah Yin found herself amused. Zhao Ling's attempts to "coincidentally" encounter her were repeatedly thwarted by Aunt Shen. Yet, despite his frustration, he hadn't harmed anyone seriously.

Even when enraged, he had only tied Aunt Shen's son to a tree—a relatively harmless act for someone of his status. His restraint and lack of malice left a surprising impression on Ah Yin.

More importantly, Zhao Ling had shown no interest in her soul rings or soul bones. His pursuit seemed genuine, focused solely on her.

Although Ah Yin had never met him, she couldn't help but feel a faint flicker of affection. Perhaps insignificant now, but who knew? It could very well be the spark of something deeper…
