CHAPTER 10 : Sunflower

In the tranquil embrace of the sunflower field, Blue and Dorothy lingered, their gazes tracing the patterns of clouds skirting across the expanse of sky. Dorothy, her demeanor gentle yet curious, turned towards Blue, her eyes reflecting a silent inquiry.

"Are you human?" she ventured, her voice a soft murmur carried on the gentle breeze. "Let's be friends."

Caught off guard by the sudden request, Blue paused, considering her words carefully before responding. "No," he finally admitted, his tone tinged with a mixture of uncertainty and resolve. "I'm waiting for a seed to grow."

Dorothy's expression softened, a faint smile gracing her lips as she acknowledged his answer. "Okay," she acquiesced, settling herself beside him amidst the sea of sunflowers. "Then let's wait together."

As they sat in companionable silence, the sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting a golden hue over the landscape. Blue, lost in his thoughts, found himself drawn to inquire about Dorothy's origins.

"Where did you come from?" he ventured, his voice carrying a note of genuine curiosity.

Dorothy's eyes sparkled with a hint of nostalgia as she reminisced. "I came from Deira," she revealed, her words imbued with a sense of longing. "It's a city filled with humans and robots."

"Ah," Blue murmured in response, absorbing her words with quiet contemplation.

As the day gently waned into evening, Blue found himself succumbing to the lull of the tranquil surroundings, his eyelids growing heavy with the promise of sleep. With a contented sigh, he surrendered to the embrace of slumber, his dreams intertwining with the whispers of the sunflowers swaying in the breeze.
