Chapter 104: Chapter 79.1 : Lies!!
Ian watched Doflamingo with great interest.
This guy thinks he can fool me like a fool.
Some insider information about the Celestial Dragons is indeed quite important, but the real key secrets—like the Celestial Dragon's national treasure, the immortality surgery, the role of the Five Elders, and the existence of Im—he didn't mention any of those.
At the very least, this guy should know something about the first two, right?
Ian had expected Doflamingo to try to fool him, but he never imagined he'd be so blatant about it.
Am I being too gentle? Or is it that you're going through a rebellious phase?
"..."
Hearing Ian's words, Doflamingo's face stiffened slightly, before he chuckled and said, "What are you talking about? I've already told you everything I know about the Celestial Dragons."
"I was only eight when I left Mariejois. I couldn't possibly know much about their secrets."
Such a hardheaded liar.
"You should've at least told me two things," Ian sighed, "First, what exactly is the Celestial Dragon's national treasure? And second, what is the role of the immortality surgery?"
"…"
Doflamingo suddenly sprang to his feet. Even with his excellent control over his expressions, he couldn't help but turn pale at this moment.
He knows!
How does he know?!
How could he possibly know?!
"Hehehe… hehehe…"
The muscles on Doflamingo's face twitched, letting out a dry laugh. "The Celestial Dragon's national treasure? What's that? I've never heard of such a thing. And as for the immortality surgery…"
"Alright, Doflamingo," Ian waved his hand, "If all you're going to do is lie, then this is enough for now."
"Eh! Is this guy really lying?"
Yamato, who was leaning on Ian's shoulder, looked up in surprise. Her red horns on her forehead jabbed at Ian without any courtesy.
The girl instantly became infuriated, "This guy actually dared to lie to Ian!"
"Do you want to get beaten up?"
Ian rarely found Yamato's suggestion so constructive. "Indeed, since words no longer seem to work, we might have no choice but to rely on violence."
Doflamingo paused for a moment.
In the next instant...
Boom!
The luxurious carriage's roof exploded, and a figure shot into the sky.
"Doffy?"
The side windows of the nearby carriages opened immediately, and the members of the Donquixote family peeked their heads out.
Jack and the others also looked out.
Doflamingo descended from the sky, standing mid-air as though he were standing on an invisible platform.
"It's the string!"
On the shattered carriage, Yamato looked up at Doflamingo in the sky, her sharp eyes spotting him, "He's standing on the string!"
"Doffy!!"
Trebol squeezed out from the cramped window, his face covered in cold sweat, "Are we fighting?"
"Big brother Ian! Are we fighting?"
Jack kicked open the carriage door and yelled towards Ian, his hands gripping two peculiar blades.
"Everyone, calm down," Ian said coolly. "Doffy wants to spar with me, so no one move."
Doflamingo said nothing but stared intently at Ian.
This isn't good.
How did he know about those things?
Should I say it?
The situation now is, if I don't say it, Ian won't let it go!
He no longer had time to think. Ian had already launched himself like a missile, wrapped in golden, radiant flames. When Ian emerged from the flames, he had transformed into a golden-armored, winged figure.
"Ian!"
Below, Yamato stomped her feet in frustration.
Damn Ian, he beat me to it! I wanted to act first!
As Ian flapped his wings, he was already in front of Doflamingo the very next second.
"Too fast!"
Doflamingo didn't have time to think. His instinctive reaction completely took over his body. "Tekkai String!"
He swung his right leg through the air, and several threads extending from his heel shot out like the sharpest blades, slicing directly toward Ian.
However, Ian didn't even try to dodge. He raised his hand and grabbed Doflamingo's right leg, while the threads slashed across Ian's chest.
Yet, the threads, infused with Armament Haki, could easily tear through steel, but when they hit Ian's body, not even a mark was left. They were instantly shattered.
What kind of defense is this?
Doflamingo couldn't comprehend it.
Ian, on the other hand, reversed his grip and threw Doflamingo down, making him plummet like a meteor. Doflamingo crashed through a civilian house, landing in the street behind the building, with smoke and dust billowing up.
"Ian, sir! Doflamingo!!"
Umit stood clutching his head.
How did this suddenly turn into a fight?!
"Doflamingo!!"
Pica, a giant-like figure, let out a sharp scream that sounded like a child's voice, instinctively trying to rush forward to help.
But his feet wouldn't move.
He stared down in disbelief—the ground had frozen solid, and all of their feet were stuck in the thick ice.
"Ian told you not to move!"
Yamato slammed her spiked club into the ground, freezing the surrounding area completely. "So don't move."
This guy…
Pica was stunned.
Ian dropped from the sky and crashed into the smoke where Doflamingo had fallen.
The smoke was torn apart instantly, and a crimson string came crashing toward him. "Super Strike Whip!"
Since the opponent had already made a move, if Doflamingo just stood there and let himself be beaten, that would be too foolish, right?
Doflamingo no longer hesitated.
