Chapter 37: Chapter 36
"How many are there?" Hancock asked as soon as Sin returned from scouting the Marines.
"Two platoons. One led by a Vice-Admiral and the other by a Rear-Admiral." He informed her and then turned to look at Hachi, who was bandaged up and looked ready to fight. "You are going to rest Hachi. I will drop you and Augur off at our Ship. You two will take care of Kuina, Nojiko, and Nami."
"Aye, Captain!" The Fishman nodded his head and accepted the responsibility.
Augur too nodded his head.
"A smaller Platoon is headed towards the ship too, do you want me to deal with them or would you like a warm-up?" He smiled at the tall man, who lightly smiled back at him.
"Leave them to me, Captain."
"Don't kill them." Sin nodded and then grabbed both Hachi and Augur before disappearing with them from the place.
He returned a short while later, and then disappeared with the three girls, dropping them off on their ship.
"Go to your room or the library." He told Nami and Nojiko, and the orangehead grabbed her sister's hand before leading her to the library.
"Come back soon!" Nami brightly smiled at him.
"We will." He waited for them to go inside the ship before he shot up into the sky.
He watched how Augur was effortlessly toying with the small battalion of Marines who were close to their ship.
The tall man was unstoppable as he outclassed them in speed and then started knocking them out with a single or double hit.
By the time Sin returned to Gyasta, the four remaining members of his crew were surrounded by over a hundred Marines. The fight had not yet broken out, but it was only a matter of time before one side went on offence.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!" He suddenly appeared behind the Marines and called out, grabbing all their attention.
"Black D. Sin, I am Vice-Admiral Cancer, and I am here to arrest you on charges of Piracy, Murder, and Carnage." A tall man with blonde hair spoke as he drew his sword out of the scabbard.
He was wearing blue shades even at night, was also smoking a cigar, and there was a distinctive vertical scar over his left eye.
"Do you really want to do this?" Sin boredly asked. "You can not capture me or anyone from my Crew. Save your men from pain and leave. We will leave this Island too in a couple of days."
The Rear Admiral by Cancer's side drew his Katana out at his words, and Sin could only sigh at his action.
"Very well." He smiled and then looked at his crew. "Do you want to finish it fast or..."
"Nah..." Bonney shook her head and a playful smile crept on her lips. "I want some fun."
Bepo nodded his head too with a smirk on his face, and then the two of them charged at the enemies.
In just a matter of seconds, gunshots rocked the area, and wails from Marines rose to the sky.
Whilst Binney and Bepo dealt with the Marines, Sin engaged Cancer and the Rear Admiral with him, not allowing them to go and help their men.
"Let's deal with him first, Yukimaru." Cancer gravely looked at Sin and spoke to the Rear-Admiral.
"Yes, Sir!"
The two of them rushed at Sin, who did not bother backing away or dodging their oncoming blades.
*Clank!*
At the very last moment, he drew the Seven-Star Sword from his back, blocking their attacks, which resulted in sparks and a sharp sound of metal.
The strength of a Vice-Admiral was nothing to scoff at, and Yukimaru was strong too. They were undoubtedly powerful people.
Sin had to put in some effort to deal with the force, but he managed it and then engaged his two opponents in a sword dance.
"You are good!" He gleefully said when he found that his opponents were Veterans with the sword.
It had been a while since he fought against a good Swordsman, and these two had undoubtedly worked on their Swords for most of their lives.
He was still better than them, but the difference was not too great. However, thanks to his Haki and Devil Fruit, his reflexes were beyond the limit of these two individuals.
Sin could have ended the battle fast. It was not hard for him, but he was just having too much fun against these two Swordmen that he did not wish to end the battle in any other way than a sword fight.
Suddenly, Yukimaru stepped back, and Cancer grew more ferocious in his attack. Just when Sin was about to up the level too, Cancer jumped high in the air, allowing the Air Slashes that Yukimaru sent their way to find their target.
Sin narrowed his eyes and spun on his feet, cutting through those Air Slashes with finesse and ease. However, a very powerful sword attack came his way from above, and Cancer had already used Shave, one of the Six Styles, to teleport right behind him, with his Haki-coated blade ready to cut Sin in two pieces.
A devious smile crept on Sin's face as he expertly drew a crescent with his sword, sending a powerful Air Slash to clash against the one Cancer had sent him from above, and then brought his sword down to block the blade that had reached his waist.
"Phew! That was close." He spoke after he deflected Cancer's attack and gained a safe distance.
But he got no time to relax as the two Swordsmen rushed at him again.
On the other side, Bonney, and Bepo dismantled the two Marine Platoons with their hand-to-hand combat.
Bonney did not bother using her Devil Fruit and was not even using Armament Haki as she dealt with these Marines, but Bepo was having fun testing his Mink-Arts.
Robin and Hancock did not join the fight. They wanted to have some fun too, but if they entered the fray, Bonney, and Bepo would complain to them later.
Besides, the only two people they were interested in fighting against were engaged in a sword battle with Sin.
"I am getting bored. Lets go and grab some dinner." Hancock could not bear watching the battle and turned around to walk toward the faraway forest.
Robin glanced at the battlefield one last time before taking up Hancock's offer and following her.
There was no point in staying there.
"Bring me a couple of deer!" Bonney called out. "I want roasted deer for dinner!"
She had heard what Hancock said, and requested her two friends, who helplessly shook their heads as they knew that two deer were not going to be enough for their Pink-haired friend.
"Let's search for some Lapahn first." Robin smiled. "I heard that they taste really good."
"Okay." Hancock nodded and then glanced at her. "So, how was it?" She mischievously asked referring to the carnal indulgence that Robin had enjoyed for all of the afternoon.
"Don't you know?" She lightly smiled at her friend, who giggled at her words.
The two friends happily chatted as they left the place without sparing another glance at the battlefield.
However, what they intended had been achieved, and Bonney, who had heard their conversation suddenly grew more violent and started handing out more pain to her victims.
She was not satisfied even when all the Marines had been brought down and dangerously looked at Sin who was still having some fun with the two high-ranking and strong Marines.
As much as she wanted to rush forward to spoil his fun, she knew that it would unfair to him, who had not found some good Swordsmen to fight against in a long while. However, her eyes soon found her next target.
"B-bonny..." Bepo felt chills up his spine when the pinkette looked his way.
"Let's train, Bepo." She smirked and said, and without giving the Bear-Mink any time to respond, she rushed at him with a powerful punch.
As the Bear-Mink cried in pain and fought for his life against his friend, the two Marine Officers gave their all against Sin.
Their bodies now bore some cuts, and their hearts grew colder as Sin's devilish smile started hammering their pride.
To see someone half their age and better than them at Swordsmanship was quite hard to digest, and then they were even helpless as despite taking some damage, Sin looked as if he was fresh as ever.
"Tempest Barrage!" Cancer used one of his most powerful moves, using one of the Six Styles, Tempest-Kick to create dozens of Air Blades, and launched himself together with them with the help of Moonwalk and Shave.
Sin narrowed his eyes and stopped moving when he saw the storm of blades headed his way.
He only took a moment to compose himself, and then created arcs with his blade before piercing his sword forward, intending to pierce Cancer's attack.
The Vice-Admiral smirked when he saw what Sin intended to do. It was reckless, and just the opportunity they needed.
However, to his amazement, dozens of subtle Air Blades, which Sin had discretely created, rushed at him, deflecting some of his Air Blades, which opened a path for Sin's sword.
*Clank!*
The two swords collided, and after a brief stalemate, the Jian Sword managed to slip its way from his Sabre and then pierced his right shoulder.
"You lose." Sin spoke and then finally utilised his lightning power, charging it through his blade and inside Cancer's body, making him scream in agony and paralysing him.
Cancer tried to utilise his Haki, but the damage was done, and when Sin pulled out his blade from his shoulder, he dropped to the ground as his limbs gave up and felt unusually heavy, but at the same time, his head felt very light.
Sin smirked at Yukimaru as he raised his blade, and the Rear Admiral rushed at him, believing that he intended to kill Cancer.
A while later, the middle-aged man with long curly brown hair, dropped on the ground too, riddled with dozens of shallow cuts on his body.
"Well, do you have any treasure on your ship?" Sin brightly asked, and before the two could reply, he knocked them out with two powerful punches.
"Bonney! Bepo!" He called out to the two who were fighting. And listening to his call, they immediately stopped. "We are taking everyone hostage. Get some ropes from the Town and use the supplies they have on them to bind them all up."
"Aye, Captain!"
