Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Justice in Question
Garp was sitting on the deck of the damaged marine warship, staring into the vast horizon. His usual carefree expression was replaced by a heavy, contemplative look. The Den Den Mushi in his hand rang loudly, breaking the silence. With a sigh, Garp answered it.
"Garp, what is going on there? Did you catch William and his crew?" Sengoku's voice echoed from the receiver.
Garp let out another sigh. "Sengoku, you're in big trouble this time."
Sengoku's voice turned impatient. "What do you mean, Garp? What happened? And why aren't the three admirals answering their calls?"
Garp leaned back, his voice unusually heavy. "Of course, they're not answering. They're all unconscious."
"What?! Garp, tell me everything!" Sengoku demanded, his tone rising with panic.
Garp stood, his gaze dropping to the still-recovering Vice Admiral Momonga nearby. "I wasn't there for the start of it, so let Momonga tell you what happened." He handed the Den Den Mushi to Momonga.
Despite the deep slash on his torso, Momonga straightened, wincing as he held the receiver. "Fleet Admiral Sengoku," he began, his voice strained but steady, "when we arrived, Admirals Akainu and Aokiji were already engaged with William and his crew."
"And?" Sengoku prodded.
Momonga continued, his tone filled with disbelief. "It wasn't a fight. Admiral Akainu was severely injured by William with just one punch. Admiral Aokiji... he was outmatched. Nico Robin, Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia overwhelmed him. Their physical strength and Demon Fruit abilities are on a completely different level."
"Demon Fruits? What are their abilities?" asked Sengoku.
"Boa Marigold manipulates the ground, turning it into giant snakes made of earth. Boa Sandersonia transforms into a snake-like form with green scales and spits poison bullets. Nico Robin... she can create clones of herself, all capable of using Haki. She even created a giant clone over twelve meters tall. The three of them fought like an unstoppable team."
Tsuru's voice cut through. "What about Boa Hancock?"
Momonga's voice faltered slightly. "Stronger than all three combined, ma'am. She fought Admiral Akainu after William injured him. Her speed, strength, and Haki were terrifying. She turned Akainu's lava into stone. Her final strike defeated him without even touching him and sent him flying into the sea."
Sengoku's frustration grew. "Damn it, she mastered advance conqueror's haki. What about Kizaru?"
Momonga hesitated before replying. "Defeated in two moves by William, sir."
A heavy silence fell. Then Sengoku growled, "Damn that boy. Pass me Garp."
Momonga handed the Den Den Mushi back to Garp.
"Garp, why didn't you stop William?" Sengoku demanded angrily.
Garp snorted. "Do you think I didn't try? That kid is a monster, Sengoku. He's stronger than me. Even when I used my full strength, I couldn't win. His mastery over all three advanced forms of Haki is extraordinary. And when he transformed into his hybrid dragon form..." Garp trailed off, the memory still fresh.
"And what do you think about the strength of his crew?" Sengoku asked.
Garp sighed. "Boa Hancock's strength is nearing Big Mom's level. Boa Sandersonia's power rivals an admiral, and Boa Marigold and Nico Robin aren't far behind."
Sengoku's voice was a mixture of frustration and disbelief. "Damn it."
Garp sat down heavily, his voice carrying a rare seriousness. "Sengoku, what the navy did to Ohara... do you think it was justice?"
"Garp!" Sengoku barked, anger rising. "Stop spouting nonsense and remember your position!"
Garp's tone turned bitter. "The navy and the World Government created five monsters. And now, they're coming for us. No one can stop them."
"Justice will prevail," Sengoku shot back. "Get your ass back to Marineford!"
Garp stood, looking at the navy soldiers struggling to treat Akainu's wounds. "I'm not coming back right now, Sengoku. I'm hurt, and I need to heal. Send Bogard to pick me up. I'm heading to East Blue to see my grandson."
"Garp! The admirals are seriously injured! We need you here!" Sengoku shouted, but Garp's reply came in a rare, firm tone.
"I'm tired, Sengoku. I need some rest."
Sengoku sighed, his frustration giving way to resignation. "Fine. Go see your grandson, old friend. But hurry back." He ended the call.
Garp looked at the recovering navy soldiers. "After you get Akainu stabilized, take the admirals back to Marineford for treatment," he ordered.
"Yes, sir!" they responded, moving swiftly to obey.
As Garp watched the navy ships leave, his mind replayed his earlier clash with William. The boy's strength and determination were unlike anything he'd seen in years.
"Justice will prevail," Garp muttered under his breath, his voice heavy with doubt. "But which side is the real justice?"

Marineford, Sengoku's Office
Sengoku sat alone with Tsuru, his hands pressed against his temples.
Tsuru broke the silence. "William and his crew never claimed to be pirates. Their only apparent goal is revenge on the navy and the World Government. By executing two Celestial Dragons, they've likely gained the support of many, especially the Revolutionary Army."
Sengoku's jaw tightened. "We must get rid of them. Once the admirals recover, we'll gather our elites, the seven warlords, and every available force. They can't survive that."
Tsuru shook her head. "William isn't reckless. If he were, he wouldn't have stayed hidden for three years before making his move. And even if we wanted to bait him, we have nothing to lure him in."
Sengoku slammed his fist on the desk. "Damn it! I hate being forced into a passive position!"

Mariejois, the Sacred Chamber
The Five Elders knelt before the shadowy figure of Im.
"Your Majesty," Marcus Mars began, "William executed two Celestial Dragons in a live broadcast and declared war on the World Government."
Im's voice, icy and calm, pierced the room. "Does he possess the Nika Fruit?"
Marcus Mars shook his head. "No, Your Majesty. He wields a mythical dragon Zoan."
Im's tone remained detached. "Then do not intervene yourselves. Let the marines deal with him. The time of the war between us and the new Joy Boy is near. We must not reveal our strength prematurely."
"As you wish, Your Majesty," the Five Elders responded in unison, rising and leaving the chamber.
