Chapter 111: Chaos and Strange Occurrence
_________ POV Narration_________
While the 5 elders were looking into ways to fulfil IM's request, the Revolutionaries and Enel weren't sitting still at all.
"N-fufufufu!"
The CP agents heard a burst of high-pitched laughter as their crew fought a strange group of oddly dressed hairy men.
All of them were wearing ballerina outfits, with the exception of one that was dressed in a winter coat and cut apart the agents using giant scissors.
And the leader, a large and strangely proportioned man with an indigo afro wearing a purple leotard of all things with leather boots and gloves.
The strange men seemed to dance around them, acting like ballerinas in the wind, as they kicked and tore the ship apart with ease.
"What the hell is th-" The high-ranking CP agent on board only got to half of his sentence before he got rudely interrupted.
"HELL WINK!" Ivankov fluttered his eyelashes, releasing a shockwave strong enough to blow apart half of the ship's deck as his laughter continued to ring.
The understaffed CP agents had no chance to fight back.
Their Convoy was large, each ship was currently experiencing similar situations, maybe with fewer odd people aboard.
Armies of Revolutionaries motivated and strengthened by Bello Betty were tearing through the outnumbered CP agents on most ships.
And some ships had to deal with individuals... Which was proving to be even worse.
"Ryu no Ibuki!"(Dragon Breath)
One ship's deck crumbled apart in seconds as Sabo sunk his hand into it, attacking the 'core' directly and destroying the footing of all agents on board.
They quickly tried to fly away using Geppo, like many others before them, only for lighting to target them the second they reached a certain point.
A freak storm raged above their entire Convoy, the clouds sparkled, daring anyone to take to the skies. The clouds became darker and darker, striking fear into the CP agents.
The few pacifists they had around didn't help them either, as all of them were fried by lighting bolts before they even got to lock on any targets.
The agents that dashed towards Sabo instead of flying up were the only ones that remained, unfortunately for them, the results weren't much different.
Sabo's blackened arms crushed the skulls of the agents with ease, sometimes turning their brains to mush without even cracking the skull one bit.
But he wasn't exactly the most dangerous person to attack that convoy, despite the fact that he took down high-ranking agents with ease.
Enel was dealing with a few ships by himself, lightning bolts clearing the agents aboard with ease, even the ones that tried to hide and suppress their presence through sheer willpower were being killed.
Enel's radar was perfected now, when turned on, no one could sneak up on him or sneak away from him.
He was rather pleased to see that it worked perfectly even against people that tried to hide away from observation, as that had been its main purpose.
Enel smirked as he stared at the sky once more, to see his creation working as intended.
A gigantic golden Viking ship, at least 200 meters long and 30 tall.
It floated overhead, releasing more and more dark clouds from many holes along its sides as gigantic paddles rowed at the air constantly, stirring the clouds.
The gigantic ship was staying afloat with energy that had been stored in a special engine that Enel had managed to build in his free time.
After clearing out the World Governments' ships and copying the contents of each Poneglyph, the ship in the skies sank down to their level, clearing the skies and revealing around a dozen blimps, which quickly started their descent as well.
A part of the Revolutionary Army embarked on Enel's ship, the rest embarked on the many blimps that had been hiding above the stormy clouds.
The Revolutionary Army moved swiftly, steamrolling through each and every convoy they had information on.
Enel was leading a part of the mission with his flying ship, and Dragon was leading another group with yet another set of blimps.
Their attack was quick, going from convoy to convoy in a set route, they were to meet in the middle, after which the copies of the poneglyphs would be stored in Enel's ship.
Attacking from the air was not something many of them were accustomed to, but they were still trained in doing so.
Most of their operations were usually covert, so they wouldn't use such a strategy under normal circumstances.
Most of the blimps were provided by Morgans through his underworld connections.
After forming a pact with Enel, Morgans started aiding the Revolutionary Army directly as well. With both information and supplies.
Now they were in the same boat, Morgans likely saw the support he gave them as an investment of sorts.
He had somewhat figured they were with Enel after receiving their help in the underworld when trying to turn everyone against the World Government.
Now, the combined efforts of Enel, the Revolutionaries and Morgans were proving to be a bit too much for the slightly unprepared World Government.
The losses the Government suffered were great, with many agents dying at the hands of the revolutionaries.
Some lives were also lost on the Dragon's side, but Enel's group was lucky to be led by, well, Enel. He was basically made for such situations.
He had minimized the casualties on both sides of the war at Marineford, taking care of a few revolutionaries was too easy for him.
Enel's lightning controlled the battlefield, as his Observation had already spread out everywhere. The storm clouds above fried every agent even close to killing a revolutionary soldier alive.
The soldiers were obviously motivated by that, leading to them charging in and tearing apart the CP agents ferociously.
After attacking all of the convoys on their path, Enel's group quickly headed for the meeting point, where they waited a few more hours and rested.
Dragon's group was also in high spirits, sure they had taken some damage along the way, and one or two of their blimps were missing. But such sacrifices were to be expected.
Apparently, Dragon's group had run into a lot of Pacifistas, much more than Enel's group, which made things a lot more difficult. But Dragon was strong enough to take care of things at the end of the day.
Rather, their casualties were extremely low thanks to the lack of numbers on the Government's part...
The revolutionary army was able to carry out its plan perfectly... But the rest of the world was suffering greatly.
Pacifistas were ushered out to deal with the disturbance in Sabaody, leading to plenty of civilian deaths as the protest turned violent when an unidentified man shot at a marine.
That situation was being replicated in many parts of the world, Pacifistas only being sent out to deal with conflicts near the borders of the Holy Land. The rest of the world had to deal with casualties of both soldiers/police and civilians.
All of them were left to fight for their lives, the chaos that overtook the big cities led to many deaths worldwide, but the World Government didn't care about that.
They were still looking for a distraction for the rest of the world, something to get everyone's minds off of everything, and more importantly, looking for any clues on the location of Baltigo.
After a bit of deliberation, the elders now assumed that Baltigo was likely also Enel's base. As they were working together and the elders had no evidence pointing to anything else.
The only silver lining for them was that they now had a trail to follow... All of the convoys that were attacked in order gave them a clear line to where the revolutionaries were to meet up on the map...
So all they had to do was follow the trail...
But they weren't the only ones looking for Enel and his whereabouts...
'How does one find a single man in such a large world...'
King's eyes gazed at the sea, as he sat on a ship full of beast pirates, hunting down one person. He and Queen had split up to search for him, despite the fact that neither of them was fully confident in taking on Enel.
At that point, he was mostly going around blindly, hoping to catch a glimpse of any flying golden ship in the sky.
But it wasn't his lucky day, unfortunately. He followed any trail he could, but he simply had no inkling as to where Enel was supposed to be...
Then something strange happened... The world seemed to tremble around him and his ship, as he looked at the sea around him in confusion.
'Is some large Sea King emerging or something?'
The entire situation felt like a sea quake, it was as if the seas were abruptly choosing a path for him.
Then, the sea in front of their ship seemed to abruptly shift, angling itself upwards as King swore and commanded the ship to move forwards.
'I don't know where this is going... But our best choice right now is to go forward... I can always fly away if I need to.'
And so, King and his crew started ascending towards the clouds...
