Cause of Wrath and Deaths in the Family
"Heh, experience in fights? While three hundred years of fighting experience may have some merit, power will triumph!" Rosin then cackled.
I stared him down, glaring straight at him.
"So, this is how much Grim had affected you over the course of him being here. You all are so confident that you can just take Taki, Buggy, and I, and send us to our death beds. I have seen what Taki can do, and if she were not attacked by Grim, she would have no problem taking care of you. And do not get me started on what I have witnessed Buggy do."
I then raised my sword that wasn't pinning Ross, and readied it over the now prone Rath.
"If you want to take me down, why can you not also experience what you would like to put me through?"
And I swung my blade down, cleaving through Rath's neck, severing his head from his body.
Rosin and Ross were in shock, and I could tell Rosten was not far behind.
No blood came from the cut, but a silvery energy flowed from it, forming the outline of Rath floating in the sky.
Rosin became extremely pissed at seeing this, seething with anger. "I WILL NEVER PERMIT SUCH A THING! RATH! FIND A NEW BODY, QUICK!"
I smirked at his short but loud speech, coming up with an idea.
"Soul Command: Return to Main!"
And then, as Rath's ethereal body was starting to swim through the sky, it was then pulled towards our castle at an incredible speed, not even letting anyone speak a word before such a thing happened.
Rosin reacted by scowling and growling at me, becoming more pissed, his face turning red from such anger. He then grumbled "This is possibly the worst outcome already." Changing to as much as a normal tone as he could, he spoke "Rosten! You know what to do!" Before immediately loading another bullet into his rifle, this time, without my back turned to him.
Rosten nodded, already having more rocks in his hands, and threw them directly at me. I pulled my blade out of Ross's arm, making him wince in pain, then rolling slightly, all while I swung my blades to slice every single rock Rosten threw at me, making clouds of dust appear around me.
I heard Rosin cock the rifle again, and I was thankful for the rocks being thrown at me.
'Rosten, you may be one of the followers here, but at least you are doing the wrong thing to follow Rosin!'
I heard Rosin put the rifle and aim it at the could of dust surrounding me, which didn't allow him to see me at all.
'Wait, why is the fog gone? I don't ever remember it being gone, so what's happening?'
Then shaking my head to focus more, I was still being bombarded with rocks, turning them to dust, waiting for Rosin to fire, and having a wondering feeling of what Ross was doing.
'I CANT BELIEVE IM STILL RUNNING! WHY AM I ONLY NOW ABLE TO DO THIS? IVE NEVER DONE IT, AND YET IM STILL DYING!'
I couldn't stop at all, and I was near the castle, with it in sight, and the fog dissipating everywhere around me.
'NO! NOT THE YEARLY FOG LIFTING, WHY IS THERE NOT ENOUGH MOISTURE TO MAKE THESE CLOUDS GO DOWN?'
Then, something silver passed by me. I didn't know what it was until I used my soul to sense what it was, and it was a part of us.
'Rath? Is Ro gonna try that? It's never been tested though! PLEASE LET IT WORK THOUGH!'
And then news kept coming. A flurry of blades fell down right next to me. It was Rianna and her fan of blades. I instinctually started to shiver in fear.
'Why. Why did it have to be them?' I then felt tears welling up, but continued to run, changing how I was holding the fox girl, putting her on my back, holding her legs up and her arms around my neck, then moving a little faster to get away from anything else.
And Roy fell down almost on top of me, swinging one side of his two sided naginata down, as if he was going to chop me in half.
I just barely dodged, realizing that the fox I was carrying was in danger on my back, so I begrudgingly pulled her to hold out in front of me, and both Roy and Rianna weren't following me. I wanted to look back to see what they were doing, but I did not.
'I can't look back! I need to get somewhere safe!'
My body was still shaking in fear.
'Please don't break anything again.'
The tears in my eyes started going down my face, and yet, all I could do was run.
"My dear younger sister, it seems like Rem is not following orders. Perhaps we need to persuade her to." Roy crossed his arms, standing still, watching Rem run away.
"You are right, my brother. Some punishment may be in order. Let us start with her art." Rianna, who was also watching Rem run away while standing still, held the fan in one hand in front of her, smirking.
"It will be more exciting to do so. How about we take our time? Really drag it out to MAKE her come back to us?"
"Oooooo, brother, I did not expect you to be so diabolical today. Maybe you should be like this all the time."
"I could say the same thing for you too. Well, let us start a riot."
Both Roy and Rianna started to walk towards the castle that they could clearly see with little fog in the way.
I was extremely busy slicing rocks into powder, at least until a gunshot went off, which I could only tell was not from Rosin, as it was much quieter than his bullet. He was missing all of them, and yet he continued rapid fire.
'Oh, so that is what Ross uses, he barely ever has used a weapon, let alone in a fight, and yet, he just does it? This pile of issues is starting to grow exponentially.'
Finally deciding it was enough, I launched my remaining anchor towards Rosten, who was not expecting to have something come from the dirt smoke that I was creating. Using this to my advantage, the anchor slammed into Rosten's body. What I did not expect was the toughness of Rosten's body. Realizing my mistake, I reeled it in faster than he could try to catch it.
I heard Rosin laugh again, it was becoming annoying.
"Haha! Rosa! While we took forever to create those bodies, and only created three of the strong ones, Rosten has one of those three! How do you like fighting one? It must be hard to do!"
I could tell he was still bragging. 'Why did I ever think this one was fine, when he has done all of this?'
"On another note, Rem had no purpose or use, so she doesn't even have a new body! How sad is that? The rest of us have a body, and yet, she doesn't. That's because there is no use for a child who doesn't follow orders!"
This set me off, causing me to sheath one of my blades in my remaining gear, and grab a rock that was flying towards me. While the pain was there, I couldn't care any less about it. The dust cloud dispersed, and I found myself with a rifle, twin pistols, and rocks, all ready to attack.
"What.. do you.. mean? I did it.. because my life outside of this island.. called for it every hundred or so years. And you blame Rem for being childish, and yet you are the one who has not made any effort to cultivate her into an adult."
I threw the rock I was holding right in the middle of Ross's eyes, knocking him to the floor, and yet, he still held his pistols like he could aim without looking.
"You said that you 'disciplined' her before, what did that mean?"
I launched my anchor at Ross, causing it to go through his body, right where the heart would be, and a repeat of what happened with Rath, but the silvery substance came from the hole that formed after I reeled it back.
"Soul Command: Return to-"
And a bullet from Rosin interrupted me, passing by my body just barely.
"Go, get one of the prototypes before anything else goes on."
The ghostly figure of Ross saluted before starting to float away.
And then, while that went down, I spoke quietly and quickly. "Soul Command: Return to Main."
And then Ross's ethereal body was whisked off in the same way Rath's form was dragged away.
I turned to just barely block another incoming onslaught of rocks and bullets from Rosin.
"You asked before what I meant by disciplined her. How about I answer you while you ready yourself to die?"
And Rosin reloaded his rifle before aiming it at me again, a crooked smirk on his face.
