War of Dragons
What a troublesome situation to be in. I, Mihawk, looked side to side, and there was just war, destruction, and perhaps the greatest and most destructive event since God Valley.
BANG!
BANG!
BOOM!
Each strike caused unprecedented destruction in Onigashima. The common folk had long since thrown themselves into the sea, trying to swim to the other provinces of Wano and away from this catastrophe, though that was not going to help them.
The old man was going at it with Charlotte Linlin like they were both a pair of kids playing in the grass. Except this was no grass field; this was a battlefield, and their Conqueror Haki was going rampant. I imagined he didn't have many chances to show off his power as of late, and his disease must also come with a ton of frustrations.
WHOOSH!
I felt a gust of energy brush past me, and my countenance changed considerably; this had just stopped being a common war between pirates.
I brandished Yoru and loaded it to the highest extent with my 4th Will; a massive green flaming aura manifested, and I sliced forth.
WHOOSH!
The world stopped and turned green, but my slash didn't spread forth as it usually would; instead, it sliced something that resembled a massive yet invisible wall in front of me.
BOOM!
The 'wall' shattered into millions of pieces, revealing the true world. This had been a domain cast on me, and I already knew who the other party was... someone that shouldn't be allied with either Kaido or Big Mom, and yet...
"What are you doing here, second knight?" His voice was dull and unexpressive as he manifested in front of me as if he had been there the entire time. This was one troublesome individual, though he didn't exactly look like the last time I saw him in God Valley, back when I was just a little girl still training.
"Saint Dumas de Montecristo... If you're here... I take it you're not alone. And I also take it the 'lord' has his hands in this," I smirked. It seemed this is where my path ends as a knight of god. During the last five years, there were many things I knew and a lot of information I gathered... it is a rule that, except for Garling, the other knights are not allowed to get or preach in each other's way. Let alone, I'm the only one of the knights that ever leaves Marie Geoise and even lives outside of it.
They didn't know Veyron and I not only are not enemies, but we're also married. His being married to me is not a secret, but also not public knowledge... after all, his 'proud official wives' are Hancock, Sandersonia, and Marigold.
But that would end today.
We both fell on the ground, and he brandished his weapon against me; it was a deep black Estoc. One of the twelve supreme weapons, the black blade, Dantes. The sword was coated in an invisible but catastrophic energy, the one that belonged to his devil fruit.
He sliced forth towards me, "If you don't retreat now, second knight... I'll take this as your betrayal of the saint order. As far as we understood... you and Dracule Veyron were enemies."
RUMBLE!
His attack was not imbued in Conqueror Haki; instead, a powerful aura sliced forth, destroying, no, 'erasing' anything in its path. It was one of the deepest energies in this world, as Veyron once explained to me. I always thought the powers of this knight were mysterious until I learned a lot from my little husband.
His devil fruit was the 'void' fruit that made him a 'void' person. It was a Paramecia.
I slashed forth with my own sword intent. As long as I had this power, I wasn't afraid of anything in this world. There was nothing I couldn't cut, and the only limit was my imagination. Now that I knew how void works, even void could be 'cut.'
WHOOSH!
He gasped when my green slash pierced through his powers, heading towards him and destroying and cutting everything in the process.
"Then count this as my resignation... the current throne is not worthy of my Dracule Family to keep protecting. I shall uphold the values my father once taught me as the heiress of this family."
BANG!
He disappeared before my attack could hit; my strike sliced all the way through Onigashima, splitting one of the gigantic skull's horns in the process and disappearing on the horizon, leaving a characteristic green haze.
"And what are those values, Mihawk?" Even at my resignation, his face remained nonchalant. This person... he was indeed not the same as back then.
"Loyalty, transparency, and uprightness. I serve no Emperor who hides himself in the shadows and rules a blind world."
His facial expression finally changed to one of contempt, unexpected from a person I could have previously characterized as 'jovial' and 'easy-going' back during my childhood.
"Then die!"
<Dystopia in Emptiness!>
Our swords clashed, and I found myself retreating in comparison to his physical strength and also, his void.
BOOM!
The world beneath us shattered, and my sword intent struggled against his void. A knight of god was still not a pushover. They were existences that had lived for almost a millennium. Among them, I was the 'youngest,' but that didn't make me the most inexperienced.
I know from Veyron how it works. This 'void' exists everywhere. Just like darkness is the absence of light, the void is the absence of matter but far beyond... even in matter there is 'void' each small particle is divided by a seemingly endless expanse of void.
I may be the most inexperienced and young around them. But I'm also a saint genius who has a demon genius son... as long as I know what is it I have to cut... there is nothing stopping me from cutting it!
<Sword Intent!>
Using my Conqueror Haki as fuel, my defensive position switched, and he groaned, retreating slightly as the world behind him crumbled into a thousand pieces, I 'sliced' through his void, leaving a gnashing scar on his chest.
SLASH!
Unable to resist my power, he was sent flying like a rocket, blasted through Onigashima and back into his void world; he was going to come back again once he recovered. God Knights once deployed out of Marie Geoise for specific tasks would never do a mission on their own, which means he's not on his own, who and where is the other knight?
"Veyron... the Knights of God-" I wanted to tell my husband that Kaido and Big Mom were not the only ones we had to deal with. Whitebeard was having a row with Big Mom. Shanks was facing King, Queen, and Jack on his own. I saw Rayleigh fighting with Katakuri, Smoothie, and Cracker, holding his ground really well and even having fun.
As for Veyron, he was busy...
"ORRAAAAAAAA!!!"
"HAAAAA!!!"
He was in his lightning god form, shrouded in red lightning and holding Kokutou Youbi while on the other side, Kaido held his club imbued in abundant advanced armament and conqueror haki. Both weapons didn't touch, but the destruction they caused brought all other battles to an astonishing standstill.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!
The lightning storm only increased in destructiveness with new red lightning sparkling through and remaining fixed in mid-air, lighting up this world in a crimson blood color.
I felt a pull of energy trying to make me levitate as all the rubble in the area started to float. This happened every time Veyron let loose his 4th Will, Psychokinesis. That little monster that is my dear son and husband had ideated a way to surpass the limits of this world, pushing his powers to the limit.
I knew I couldn't defeat him anymore, but I wanted to see how Kaido would fare against him. I was not ready to see, though, that their battle was going to be way more brutal and personal than imagined.
BANG!
The conclusion of the crash was the gigantic Kaido hurtling towards his island, blasting through his palace while Veyron was similarly blasted to the sea.
