Chapter 301: Meeting Anna Again
He read these in a hurry before and now he had time to consider what to do. If not for that option here he wouldn't dare to put that fort right on the table with that mayor.
He selected to issue a dispute over the canceled contracts and then a window suddenly popped up in front of his eyes next.
"Say what retribution you ask for and all the conditions for more compensation or even issue a challenge to the other party," he muttered what was written in front of his eyes before evilly sneering.
"I want to get the ownership of a big fort in the outer battlefield," he said and his words were recorded at once in the window, "this is a compensation for the damage I received, plus I want two other fort ownership as an extra compensation and that can be done via direct fight between me and the owner of the contracts."
He then chose to send and then waited. He didn't know the full process of these disputes yet he was pretty sure the other party had a saying in that.
Yet he was instantly taken aback when the response came in the form of a series of system notifications.
"System alert: Player's dispute over the cancelled contracts are approved by the system."
"System alert: The right of Regalis fort has been deprived of its owner and given as compensation to the player."
"System alert: Player can't have more compensation in the form of other forts as the other party doesn't own any complete fort so far."
"System alert: player can either issue another dispute and ask for new compensation in exchange for a challenge, issue a challenge over the other party's right in other forts, or drop the dispute as a whole."
"System alert: player has to decide during the next hour or else the system would randomly select items of equal value and decide the corresponding challenge for them."
"System alert: the Regalis fort is now under attack. The game has put it under neutralized condition but the player has to send forces as soon as possible during one day or else the fort would be lost after the protection period expires."
'What the hell have you done!'
Just as he was reading these messages, a message suddenly appeared coming from Rashel.
'What?' he simply said while glancing calmly over the long rows of messages she kept sending to him during the past hours.
'You know what you've done!'
'Sorry, I did many things recently and I can't decide which one you refer to,' he kept toying with her while weighing the decision he should take about getting more compensation for a challenge or not.
'You took Regalis fort off us!!!'
'That's fair,' Bloom sent, 'at least from my view and the game's view.'
'That means war!'
'Don't threaten me,' Bloom calmly wrote, 'when you already betrayed me back there.'
'But you managed to get out alive.'
'This is all thanks to me, not to traitors like you.'
'You shouldn't be that dumb and create more enemies at this moment,' she didn't stop threatening him, 'you are in a very bad situation boy, and we won't hesitate to crush you.'
'I don't say no to any challenge,' Bloom replied, 'just send whoever you want and I'll kill them all.'
'Arrogance comes with a bitter price… always!'
'I don't mind being arrogant with my enemies,' he sent before adding, 'sorry I have to go. Have fun backstabbing your clients.'
Bloom closed the chat and his mind had decided what he should do with the extra compensation.
"I want to change the compensation," he said in the window of the dispute he just opened, "I want to own all the dark forces under the other party's control. All the agents and even the secretaries… I want the entire organization to be owned by me."
His words were recorded and he chose to confirm his decision before closing the entire profile page and kept walking towards the mansion.
"Finally you decided to show up."
Just as he reached the mansion, Tondel hurriedly said with an angry look over his face. "The real instigator is here, make way for the one who will bring down our town and burn everything we held dear."
"One more word… and I'll make sure you won't say another," Bloom didn't accept his mockery with anything but direct threatening words.
And Tondel stared in silence and obvious hesitation towards him.
Tondel already heard the story from Anna, and he knew Bloom entered a hostile town full of many strong high leveled NPCs and managed to kill their level hundred mayor, stole something precious from him, and finally ran away without a single scratch over him.
And that alone was enough to tell how dangerous this seemingly weak and vulnerable player was.
"Humph, at least you have a little brain in your big skull," Bloom harrumphed before walking inside the mansion under the burning gazes of Tondel and his men.
When he entered the mansion, he found Anna sitting there on her throne all alone.
He imagined her to be now meeting up with the leaders of her army, the top NPCs in her town, and many friends who would stand up at times of need like this one.
Yet her face was so dark and dejected that made his heart break.
"What happened?" he asked the moment he got closer to her, while she kept glancing at him with red tears and a face filled with long trails of dried up tears.
"Nothing," she wiped what couldn't be removed off her face by her sleeve, "how are you now?" she asked.
"Just say it," he grabbed a seat and sat on it, "what happened? Where is everyone?"
"Everyone?" His words made her bitterly laugh. He saw a few tears welling up her eyes before she wiped them and added, "no one is willing to fight with me… some even said I should sacrifice myself and you for the sake of the town."
