Chapter 395: Cost of Resolved.
'Idiot,' I chuckled to myself, thoroughly entertained by the long-haired leader's shocked expression.
He genuinely thought I had caught his sword barehanded, but little did he know, I had my own special effects – a mix of telekinesis and an invisible barrier, making my hands immune to physical and elemental attack.
*CLINK!
He attempted to pull his sword away, but I effortlessly kept it in check with just my fingers.
As I examined it more closely, the energy I felt wasn't coming from the holder but from the sword itself. It was a peculiar sensation, almost like the sword had a life of its own.
"What is this thing?" I mused aloud as I pulled his sword away from him and then gave him a light kick.
It wasn't enough to be lethal, just sufficient to send him flying. His comrades quickly jumped in to rescue and caught him mid-air.
I started studying the sword and swung it, but no lightning emerged. It appeared this thing didn't work even when I infused it with Mind Power.
'I'll just study this thing later,' I thought to myself as I stashed the sword away in my black hole storage.
Then, I refocused my mind on the matter at hand – the 30 people in front of me and, of course, the beautiful girl with fiery red hair.
"I'll give you a choice because I'm feeling generous. Leave this place or die" I warned them, sipping from my imaginary sake. It wasn't real, just part of the illusion. However, I was enjoying role-playing as an anime character at the moment.
It wasn't every day that I could play the part of a demon in Japan, so I wanted to just go with the flow .
"We can leave, but we're taking her with us!" the leader spoke up, attempting to maintain his bravado even though I had just demonstrated my overwhelming power.
"She stays with me," I declared with confidence, and the leader was visibly conflicted.
"Don't worry, I won't let them take you away," I turned my gaze to Yuki, offering her a reassuring smile.
Yuki blushed as she looked at me, her eyes filled with admiration and something more.
It was as if a spark had ignited, and I could feel the warmth of her feelings deepening.
In this tense moment, I became her unexpected hero, and in her eyes, I sensed a growing affection that went beyond simple gratitude.
'This girl is too easy to fool,' I chuckled to myself.
"We can't do that. It's better for you to hand her over, or else," the long-haired leader replied, his gaze filled with resolution.
I had to hand it to him; his loyalty to completing the mission far outweighed his fear of me.
However, his loyalty was garbage in my eyes. I had been holding back because I was in vacation mode, but if they didn't want my generosity, they should just blame themselves for being stubborn.
"Or else what?" I replied with a cold tone. A dark aura surrounded me .It wasn't real, but the visual impact was undeniable, making it clear that I was stepping into a realm of power that left no room for defiance.
I raised my right hand with the flair of a true protagonist, and in an instant, a katana materialized out of thin air.
The blade and hilt were engulfed in a mysterious black mist, exuding an aura of fearsome power. The hilt bore an intricate swastika pattern. To those familiar with anime, this sword was unmistakably iconic, a symbol of extraordinary strength.
"Ban..." I paused for a moment.
I felt the urge to say the iconic word, but I held back, choosing different words to avoid potential complication.
"KKai!" The black aura around me exploded and I was covered in mist of shadow.
When I appeared again, I had on a flowing black robe that seemed to dance like shadows. The fabric felt special, hinting at some dark power. My hair had grown longer, and I sported a bit of face covering(bandage), giving off a mysterious vibe.
I look way more intimidating, like I was some kind of God of Death.
"W—What are you?"
SWOOOOSH!
Before they could fully process what was happening, I showcased my speed, seemingly vanishing from their sight, and reappeared next to one of them.
They fumbled to raise their swords in defense, but my movements were so fluid and quick that their attempts were futile. It was as if I were teleporting from one place to another, leaving them bewildered.
SLASH!
SLASH! Stay tuned with empire
SLASH!
With a series of calculated strikes, I cut through their ranks like a phantom, my blade moving effortlessly through the air. They desperately tried to block with their swords, but my speed was unmatched.
As the one sided massacre unfolded, I heightened the theatrics of my performance. I created afterimages that danced around, enhancing the illusion of teleportation and adding a touch of actions to the scene.
The air resonated with sound of my blade slashing through human meat, cries of desperation, and the unmistakable scent of death,
The sharp smell of blood mixed with the dirt underneath, creating a grim scene slaughter. It was a harsh show, not allowing any room for second thoughts or uncertainty. In that moment, I took pleasure in the role I had chosen.
And what about them? Well, they all meet their death, all because I wanted to play a little cosplay. The punchline? Turns out, the deaths were no joke!
THUD
The long-haired leader knelt on the ground, his face pale with shock and disbelief.
In less than a minute, I had taken care of everyone except for him.
"You should have accepted my offer and leave," I sighed, the tip of my blade pointing at his neck.
"I will never submit to you," he said, looking at me with resolve. I had anticipated pleas for mercy, but his expression revealed that he would rather die than submit to me.
"Just kill...!"
Slash!
"Sure," I cut his head off before he could even finish his useless sentence.
