Chapter 378: Full Support.
Inside the meeting room,
More than 10 people were currently sitting at a large circular table, and I was also there, pretending to be the head director.
I could have used my Mind Link to control him, but just to be safe, I decided to shapeshift instead.
The tension in the air was thick, and I could understand where they were coming from. The place that was supposed to be indestructible, even with a nuclear bomb, was ripped open like it was a can of goods.
The Zol Clan was telling them that their technologies were mere toys against overwhelming power.
"This is unacceptable! How can you let them infiltrate this base just like that!" shouted a man with a tank-like build.
He was clearly scolding me, and even though I'm pretending, I could not help but be annoyed by his words. It was a good thing that the person I copied was well known for having a sharp tongue.
"We got hit by the most dangerous clan in the world , I think It should be more right to say , that I did a good job considering this base is still intact, " I replied in a firm manner.
"Are you kidding me? Hundreds died. Your whole network has been hacked. We can't even retrieve any footage!" He pointed out the things that were wrong in the situation.
"What do you mean? We have footage of the fight between Zhang and the invader, right? I mean, even our strongest gifted had to run for his life. What do you expect an old man like me to do?" I squinted my eyes, trying to make my point.

"You.." He gritted his teeth in anger.
"Stop it, Kan. Director Mong has been serving Cerebrum for more than a hundred years and has a good reputation. I'm sure that none of us expected this to happen." A matured woman with short brown hair and hazel eyes spoke up for me.
According to my puppet, her name was Sophia, and she used to work under me 50 years ago.
"That's right. We have more issues to attend to. Do you have any important information that you can tell us, Director Mong?" Another person chimed in, this time a male who looked in his 30's with blonde hair but small eyes, indicating that he was half Chinese .
I paused for a moment, thinking about what to say.
My words could really change things. Even though everyone thinks the Zol Clan was bad, I feel like they might be misunderstood.
And, well, technically, I'm one of them, so turning against them would make me a jerk.
So, I decided to go with my heart.
"I learned from one of the survivors that he overheard them talking about planning to revive the Zol Clan and declaring war against humanity. They were even talking about showing the world their true power by destroying one city after another," I replied, not forgetting to exaggerate things.
Blood-related? To hell with that shit.
"Is that true !" Everyone gasped after hearing my words.
'That's right , go and and be angry ,' I chuckled to myself , Coming up of more ways to add more fuel in the fire.
Thinking about it clearly, if all the Zol Clan members die, then my mother and I could finally live a peaceful life together.
Why bother with all the war when we could enjoy going on vacations every day and just buying the most expensive stuff the world could offer?
And even If I got bored in the future, then maybe that's the time I would think about conquering the world, but not at the moment.
"Yes. And I think what the woman in the robe showed us is not yet her full power," I added.
"What do you mean ?" they asked.
"Before this, one of my directors went to escort Zhang to talk to Code Zero. And from that, they were able to listen about a particular person named Zel. This Zel should be like an ancestor of the Zol Clan who had just awakened from her sleep, so she might still be getting back her power slowly," I explained to them with a serious look.
I needed to portray that Zely woman as a very dangerous entity, so they would do their best to kill her
And even if they could not kill her, weakening her was enough for me. I would use that gap to end her myself.
"Is this all true ?" Sophia asked.
"You can confirm it with Zhang. Where is he, by the way?" I shifted the conversation. I wanted to know his current condition; if he was forced to escape, then he must be severely weakened now. It was the perfect timing for me to control him.
"Don't worry about him. We found him floating in the ocean, and he's on his way back here," Sophia replied.
"That's a relief. We can't afford to lose someone like him, especially with the threat of the Zol Clan," I sighed, pretending that my heart was in turmoil because of the challenges we were facing.
But deep inside, I was smiling like crazy. 'A weakened and unconscious Zhang? Jackpot!'
"The Zol Clan won't be able to win. We stopped them before when they were at their peak. We can stop them now too," Sophia reassured everyone.
"Now that we know what the Zol Clan is planning, I think it's time to call for a summit," she stood up and looked at the other people sitting at the table.
I have a general idea of this summit; it was a special event that only happened when there was a need for all the Cerebrum branches from all over the world to work together. This means that they would send their strongest Gifteds to hunt down the Zol Clan if the summit was a success.
Everyone showed different reactions to her words. What she said might have been just one word, but calling for something like that was much more complicated.
Humans were still greedy in nature, so this happening in Asia means that they would have to compensate the other branches with a lot of resources to get their help.
"I agree with you," I raised my hand first to show my full support.
