As hordes of Blood Disciples and Destiny Beasts engaged in a slaughterfest, shrill cries and rumbling blasts swept through the Muk'Bal Field. The gored pieces of brothers and beasts whistling across the battlefield.

Southwest, a Blood Longevity Destiny Beast ran through half a dozen warghests, only to get caught and ripped apart by four Blood disciples. On the left wing, a colossal silver angel arose from the ground, splitting the earth in two while sinking warghests, knights and unfortunate brothers in the crevasse. It collapsed on them all, crushing dozens into powdered debris.

Nagini's Burning Dragon World came for revenge, lighting the freshly summoned angel on fire and catching fleeing Destiny Beasts in a web of searing flames while Honoria's lunar arrows drilled through their skulls!

At the vanguard, Ishtar went all out. Her steel chains trapping and squashing 50-meters tall beasts like helpless cockroaches under tumbling boulders.

The casualties piled up on both sides—the Winds of Destiny sapping the vitality of the Astalon offensive and shifting the trajectory of their flaming projectiles. But with Ishtar leading the way, brothers and sisters met lackluster resistance. Ripping Destiny Beasts apart and feasting on their powers!

"Utu…" Watching the melee spiral into a one-sided beatdown, Nabu called for his most trusted subordinate. The Minor God answered with a polite bow, and in a swirl of pale-gray flames, reformed amidst the heavens of the battlefield.

"Careful! The Gods of the Third Temple can all use the Power of Negation!" Menaka warned the troops—a step too late. Utu removed his vizor, revealing a pair of yellow owl pupils that dilated as his Divine Power unfurled.

[Derivative Divinity]

The divine wheel at Utu's back shone like the waxing moon, and with a deadpan look, the deity joined his hands in a diamond shape, casting a veil of sparkling dust that blew across the Astalon troops.

The Power of Negation rippled in each particle, threatening to outright disable the Blood Disciples' physical abilities and leave them helpless under the Destiny Beasts' fangs!

But as Utu sneered at the Astalon's helplessness…the solar flames inherited from Mithras paired with Ishtar's Wrathful God Fire, challenging the Power of Negation!

[Derivative Divinity]

At the same time, Ishtar tugged on her chains, conjuring beasts of concentrated divine power that lunged at Utu! The deity's eyes stretched wide, confused by the sudden formation of saint-class draconic beasts that closed on him from four directions!

Nabu aside, the Arbiters' Sid Levels went from 1.5 to 3 million. Yet each of these saint-class dragons possessed a Sid Level of 3.5 million—easily overpowering Nabu's best general!

Utu's survival instincts went on maximum alert, and with a suicidal dive, he forced his way through the southwest gap—desperately trying to escape with the Reduction Secret. Ishtar's summons left him no way out—ripping Utu's limbs and keeping a piece each.

A malignant divine power laced the divine dragons' fangs, preventing Utu's regenerative powers from kicking in! Still, he kept his life, fleeing with his tail between his legs as his blood spurted all over the field!

The troops cheered so loud that their roar rocked the field. Charging with no care for their lives and mauling down more Destiny Beasts! Even blood constructs with no souls got pumped up and galvanized, following the Blood Disciples in their murderous charge.

Derivative Divinity, an ability that enabled deities to borrow the powers of other species and enhance them with divine power! At the highest level, Derivative Divinity could also borrow the souls of dead gods.

And that…was precisely what Ishtar had just accomplished!

"Unbelievable. You want to make me believe that what deities cannot learn with millennia of hardcore practice this girl has mastered in two decades?

A preternatural understanding of Divine Power backed by an Adamantine Mental. In her past life, she was no doubt a goddess. And not any goddess…but most likely…a Dharma Protector!" Nabu took the measure of Ishtar's abilities. Now realizing that all along, the enemy's camp hid a truck of atomic bombs just waiting for them to show up to detonate in their faces.

As an Arbiter of the Third Temple and a descendent of the Weaver, Nabu could easily check mortals and Superior Beings' past lives. Even deities weren't safe from his probes. But with Ishtar, he didn't dare. Because if he was wrong, he gained nothing. And if he was right…he might not necessarily live to tell the tale.

Dharma Protector…throughout all planes of existence…who could reach that step? Nabu knew all the names. All entities that alive or dead could shake galaxies.

Nabu's eyes narrowed, and he swept the scene, assessing the situation. The Destiny Beasts couldn't keep up. Utu had been crippled in one blow. The four other Minor Gods traded blows with the Abominations—leaving Menaka to deal with Nabu.

None of these worried the deity. None…except for Vel'Asha and the energies fluctuating between her hands.

'I don't want to admit it but if she joins them, it would actually become a fair fight. Why is she not? These fluctuations…could it be the…Nirvana Secret? Mhm…Nirvana…of what use could the Sixth Secret possibly be in this scenario?' Unfazed by his troops' losses, Nabu paused and assessed the situation. The look under his helmet turning into a smile as he saw through Vel's goal.

"No wonder. And here I was wondering why Utu and I got dispatched to this wasteland. His Excellency can be so naughty sometimes. Very well…let me crush your hopes," Nabu stepped forward, and with a flash of Quantum Tunneling, appeared behind Vel'Asha!

One of a kind, the Nirvana Secret unlocked two unique abilities: a passive boon that automatically handled internal threats to the caster's life, and a miraculous skill that enabled them to create what they desired the most once a year.

"A Great Sage's nirvana can save a thousand worlds." Righteous masters of the Sixth Secret used it to perform miracles, rescuing myriad lives while more selfish masters would exploit it for pleasure and fulfillment—getting addicted to Nirvana and losing their Wisdom.

Vel wasn't trying to save lives and worlds—just open the gate to Marcus' Temple of Meditations. This selfish use challenged her Higher Wisdom, leaving her vulnerable to Nabu's hammer!

Alas, forcing open a Dark Preceptor's palace from the outside was damn near impossible. Vel's Nirvana was the crew's only hope to reach Mithras before it was too late.

So, it now fell on the crew's shoulders to keep Vel safe while she handled her business! Menaka answered the challenge. A screen of violet flames forming in Nabu's way and sending his hammer bouncing back.

The deity came back with twice the force, the fabrics of space distorting as his silver hammer dropped on the flame wall like divine thunder.

"Sargon…" Menaka' whisper rattled Nabu's ears, the eyes of a colossal dark-purple dragon opening from within his soul and leaving him petrified.

Sargon's corrosive flames set Nabu ablaze, roasting him from top to bottom as he reeled in confusion. Menaka's didn't let the chance go to waste, raising Sargon and hacking at Nabu's neck!

The Winds of Destiny altered the sword's trajectory, giving Nabu room to regain his senses and whirl to the side. A massive gash tore his armor anyway, slicing into his chest, and making his purple blood gush forth!
