Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

What Reiki said reached Tsunade's ears.

Some believe that this is Tsunade teachings to Reiki, but only she knows that it reflects the little guy's own will. She felt even more satisfied with this disciple.

Meanwhile, the Hokage Building was repaired in no time; after all, ninjas work very efficiently.

Inside the Hokage's office, a conversation unfolded.

"Father, I... Hokage-sama, you said that the kid named Reiki was the one who sent Asuma to the hospital?" 

"No, we can't continue to indulge this little brat. Otherwise, there may be more trouble in the future."

Sarutobi Shinnosuke looked unhappy. His original plan had been to let Hatake Sakumo take all the blame, but this little brat had ruined all his preparations with just a few words. Now he bore the stigma of ingratitude.

"Hatake Sakumo just applied to return to the front line, and I have agreed."

"Shinnosuke, you—"

"Forget it; you can leave now."

Sarutobi Hiruzen had intended to offer some words of encouragement, but when he opened his mouth, nothing came out. He knew Sarutobi Shinnosuke was unsuitable to become Hokage, regardless of his talent or character. For the sake of the higher-ups, he had originally planned to let Shinnosuke accumulate enough military exploits and reputation. Who would have thought something like this would happen? It seemed that this matter required careful consideration.

"Hokage-sama, about that child—can we have him in the Root?" 

At that moment, Danzo stepped forward. His interest in Reiki wasn't a whim; he had done his research. Reiki had defeated Asuma Sarutobi, and the fact that a child of an ordinary ninja could accomplish this illustrated his talent. Not to mention, Reiki's skills as a medical ninja became apparent later. His decisive and clear thinking when he criticized Sarutobi Shinnosuke made it evident that their organization could not let such talent slip away. It would be a waste for him to merely be a medical ninja.

"He is Tsunade's disciple. If you want him, go to Tsunade yourself."

"If I do, it will only be counterproductive."

Sarutobi Hiruzen understood Tsunade's bad temper. If he approached her to ask for a disciple, she might just attack him as a teacher.

"Just a child," Danzo scoffed. 

After he spoke, he exchanged a few words with the members of the Root Organization nearby, and then the ninja disappeared.

"Hokage-sama, I still think there's something wrong with Hatake Sakumo's return to the battlefield. Because of the assassination of Kazekage and previous events, there's no possibility of reconciliation on the front line. Unless we have enough strength to quickly defeat Sunagakure Village—"

"Otherwise…" 

Danzo shifted the conversation to the war.

"You mean Hatake Sakumo will become the key to breaking the deadlock on the front line, and when the time comes... his reputation will rise once again?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression turned serious. He recognized Hatake Sakumo's excellence but could not allow him to become Hokage. During the Warring States Period, the Hatake clan and the Sarutobi clan were bitter enemies. From Hiruzen's perspective, if Hatake Sakumo gained power, he would undoubtedly suppress the Sarutobi clan, which was unacceptable. More importantly, Hiruzen could not relinquish the Hokage position's power.

"That's right. So I think we should let him assassinate Kazekage again. Just say it will give him a chance to make up for his mistakes. That way, a victory on the front line will be attributed solely to your disciple—Orochimaru!"

A sinister smile crept onto Danzo's face. On the surface, he appeared to support Hiruzen and solve his problems, but in reality, Orochimaru had secretly contacted him.

"Will he agree?"

"This… He will."

Danzo knew Hatake Sakumo well; the fact that he asked to return to the battlefield as soon as he recovered from his injuries indicated his character—one that refused to admit defeat. For someone like him, a little provocation would suffice.

"I see," Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded and began to strategize how to persuade Hatake Sakumo to restart the assassination plan.

Meanwhile, inside Konoha Hospital, Reiki and Tsunade completed preliminary treatment for over 40 injured patients in a public ward in less than half a day. Although they were a bit tired, Reiki received many rewards. Most notably, his chakra capacity and physical constitution increased significantly.

At this point, his physique had exceeded the 100 mark, reaching the level of an ordinary Chūnin. Keep in mind that he was only seven years old! His chakra capacity also surpassed four digits.

Suddenly, a masked ninja appeared before Reiki.

"Reiki, I'm a member of the Root Organization, Di Gai. Danzo-sama appreciates your talent very much. Since you have no family background, I am here to recruit you as a member of the Root Organization. Now, please come with me."

As the Root Organization member reached out to grab Reiki, a white jade hand caught his arm.

"You just said you wanted him to join the Root Organization?" Tsunade's voice was firm, and her gaze was piercing.

"This is Danzo-sama's intention. Please understand, Tsunade-sama. Besides, all departments in Konoha serve the village—"

"Boom!"

Before the ninja could finish, Tsunade punched him away and advanced toward him. 

"Are you kidding me?" She had no intention of caring about the usual schemes of those high-ranking officials.

The screams outside quickly ceased, and Tsunade dragged a ragged ninja outside. She threw him into the hospital lobby without mercy.

"Reiki, remember that you are my disciple. My words may not carry weight elsewhere, but in Konoha, let me see who dares to touch you!" Tsunade declared with authority.

The Root Organization members who had initially intended to explain themselves lost confidence from Tsunade's statement.

These two statements soon reached Danzo's ears. Furious, he crushed the teacup in his hand. It had been a long time since anyone dared to touch his Root Organization. Tsunade was lucky her teacher was on her side.

"Sky, take two teams and bring that kid back to me."

At this moment, Danzo became increasingly interested in Reiki. A medical genius with an unusually strong physique? If he could withstand that thing, then...

With this thought in mind, Danzo was even more determined to recruit him.

Later that evening, the lobby of Konoha Hospital was littered with members of the Root Organization. Yes, all members of the two teams had been defeated by Tsunade.

Just then, Danzo entered Konoha Hospital with a frown, accompanied by a group of ninjas.

When Sarutobi Hiruzen learned of this, he rushed over.
