As soon as the Yamanaka entered Killer Bee's body, he was immediately confronted by a bizarre creature—flesh-colored, with the features of both a bull and an octopus—that roared directly into his mind.
Before he could fully comprehend what was happening, the Yamanaka, realizing the danger, fought through the throbbing pain in his head and managed to croak out a warning to his companion.
"...What?"
The Nara clan member assigned by his patriarch to guard the Two-Tails' jinchūriki found himself at a loss for words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. It was the middle of the night, and not only had the Raikage personally joined the fray, but even the Eight-Tails' jinchūriki had been dispatched. What on earth was going on?
"You take the target and go!"
He shouted to his companion while gesturing urgently toward the tent behind him. With no better options, his only choice was to have the Konoha ninjas inside retreat with the jinchūriki. They'd have to regroup and figure things out later. He just hoped the clan leader would realize the gravity of the situation quickly and send reinforcements—because if not...
...
"Alright, we're far enough from the camp now. This should give your friends plenty of room. Let's start the next round of our match!"
Toshiro taunted as he glanced back at the pursuing Raikage, a challenging gleam in his eyes.
"You... Do you really know what you're doing?"
"Diverting me from the camp isn't exactly a genius plan," Toshiro replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm as a smirk played on his lips.
He was fully aware of the Raikage's tactics: drawing Konoha's main forces away to allow his subordinates or comrades to rescue Yugito. Toshiro wasn't naive; he understood the strategy perfectly.
But none of that mattered. He had already secured the chakra of the Two-Tails, and whether the jinchūriki remained in Konoha was of little consequence to him.
"What's more intriguing is finishing the battle we started. The jinchūriki is just a sideshow compared to that."
"If you're so eager to die... I'll grant your wish!"
Though he couldn't quite understand why Toshiro being aware of his plan yet still played along, it didn't matter. None of this would stop him from eliminating his opponent.
"Brace yourself, kid... You're about to meet your end!"
With those words, the Raikage's chakra surged even higher. The lightning armor encasing his body thickened, its form becoming more menacing. The two slender chakra spikes on his shoulders grew longer and bulkier, adding to his fearsome appearance. Even his previously slicked-back hair erupted into a wild, spiked mane.
"So, you're finally showing your true power! Now, things are getting interesting!"
The previous exchanges had merely been a warm-up for both of them. The real battle was about to begin.
"Come on then... Let's see if the legendary Lightning Release Armor of Kumogakure is as invincible as they say!"
As he spoke, Toshiro's entire demeanor shifted. Gone was the casual indifference he had shown earlier. A massive surge of chakra began to emanate from his body, whipping up a fierce wind that seemed to come out of nowhere. The force of his chakra was so intense that the grass and trees around him began to lift off the ground, swaying and bending as the wind tore through the area.
"Lightning Release: Lightning Fist!"
"Monster Punch!"
Boom!
When their fists collided, it was like two speeding trains crashing head-on. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, causing the earth beneath them to crack and splinter with a deafening roar.
The air around them seemed to buckle under the sheer force of their clash. Explosions erupted intermittently, the atmosphere itself straining to contain the raw energy they unleashed. The air trembled with a high-pitched whine, as if it could barely keep up with the blinding speed of their movements.
With the Raikage pushing his Lightning Chakra to its absolute limit and Toshiro releasing his most potent Chakra, the two warriors engaged in a fierce contest of strength and speed.
"Hahahaha! This is it—this is what a fight between men should be!"
Toshiro laughed, exhilarated by the adrenaline coursing through him and the warnings from his overburdened body. With a swift roundhouse kick, he aimed directly at Raikage's head.
"Boy, feel the terror of the Raikage..."
Between the two combatants, Raikage held the advantage in speed, while Toshiro boasted greater strength. However, neither could establish a decisive upper hand. The battlefield around them crumbled under the intensity of their clash.
The fierce exchange only fueled their enthusiasm. It had been a long time since either Toshiro or Raikage had faced such a challenging opponent.
Back at Konoha's Northern Camp, under the cold moonlight, Nara Shikaku stared in disbelief at a breach along the camp's perimeter.
"Truly deserving of their titles—Raikage and Uchiha."
Even the area where Toshiro and Raikage had just fought was evidence of their overwhelming power. The outer wall, fortified with ninjutsu and sealing techniques, had been breached—a feat beyond the capability of ordinary ninjas.
"Shikaku, are we just going to stand here and watch from a distance?"
As Nara Shikaku lamented the stark differences between individuals, a rotund man with red hair and two streaks of face paint glanced toward the distant flashes of lightning and the sounds of explosions. His voice carried a hint of concern.
"That's the Fourth Raikage out there. Are we sure Uchiha Toshiro can handle this on his own? What if something goes wrong?"
This man, a member of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, was so round that his eyes were barely visible like he was squinting. Despite his formidable appearance, he possessed a gentle heart.
"Are you suggesting we go help?"
"...You saw that fight earlier. This isn't something we can interfere with at our level."
Nara Shikaku's mouth twitched slightly as he considered his words. He knew his teammates well; they had worked together for many years, and he was fully aware of their dispositions.
"The Raikage is indeed powerful, but with the three of us working together alongside Toshiro, we should be able to hold our ground, even against someone like him. After all, we're all from the same village."
He paused for a moment before adding, "But remember, despite being a comrade... he's still an Uchiha."
Waving his hand dismissively, Nara Shikaku chose not to delve into the complicated relationship between the Uchiha clan and the Hokage. Instead, his gaze shifted to the battered outer wall of the camp.
"No... it's what's outside the camp wall that concerns me. We've got bigger problems."
Through the gaps in the camp's outer wall, the sight of a large group of Kumo Ninja assembling in a scattered formation on the periphery became clear. They appeared to be adopting a defensive stance, a clear warning to the Konoha ninjas not to make any futile attempts to surround their leader.
"Everyone, be on high alert and prepare to counter the kumo Ninja's attack at any moment!" Nara Shikaku ordered sharply. "Combat units, medical teams, scout squads—everyone, take your positions!"
Just as Shikaku began coordinating the Konoha forces, bracing for a battle that could erupt at any moment, a familiar voice cut through the tense air.
"Shikaku! We've got a problem!"
Turning toward the voice, Shikaku's already grim expression darkened further upon recognizing the approaching clan member.
"The two-tailed Jinchūriki has been rescued by the Kumo Ninjas!"
