Itachi was looking at the person who saved him but when he heard him calling out his name he couldn't help but asking.

"Do you know me, Mister"

"I am a friend of your father, Fugaku"

Kozuki didn't have much deep friendship with Fugaku.

It was just because he saved his life from A that Fugaku was grateful so they became normal friends.
