Naruto: Sasuke is a Female

Chapter 29: Chapter 29

He held the blade aloft, inspecting it for a moment before looking forward, his senses on high alert. "What? I didn't expect him to grab my sword," came a voice, laced with surprise.

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he glanced towards the source of the voice. The fog obstructing his vision annoyed him, so he simply dispelled it.

"Rasengan," Naruto muttered under his breath as a small ball of chakra formed in his hands. It rapidly expanded, growing to the size of a boulder and then continuing to swell, absorbing the dissipating fog.

His pupils watched him with shock, as did Tazuna, who seemed on the verge of wetting himself. Zabuza stared at him with wide eyes. "Who is this kid?" he muttered, noticing the familiar blonde hair, though this boy's hair had streaks of red.

'Is he the D-rank devotee?' Zabuza thought, but quickly shook his head. 'No, this brat has the same blonde hair, but with red streaks.'

Though the resemblance was uncanny, Zabuza shook his head. He needed to get away from this brat as soon as possible; that massive ball of chakra was about to be unleashed.

"What?!" He couldn't move. He didn't understand what was happening, but he knew he was about to die. He tried to jump, to crawl, anything, but his body was rooted to the spot, as if chained to the ground.

He looked up at the brat, watching the chakra ball expand to an enormous size. The brat was smiling.

Zabuza looked at the brat's outstretched hand, his eyes widening as he saw chakra strings shooting out. He looked down at his own body, now completely enveloped in the chakra strings, like a spider's prey caught in a cocoon.

"Shit—" Zabuza's word was cut short as he was crushed by the gigantic Rasengan.

BOOOM

The Rasengan slammed into the ground like a bomb, shaking the earth with such force that it felt like a massive earthquake. The ground vanished, along with Zabuza's disintegrated body. Water rushed in to fill the gaping crater.

Naruto looked around, expanding his senses, but found no trace of anyone. 'He's dead. I don't care if he was a good guy or a bad one; he was scum nonetheless.'

Naruto looked down at the river and narrowed his eyes. He saw a massive sword stuck in the deep river. 'I should store it. It might come in handy someday, or at the very least, it'll be a satisfying addition to my collection.'

Naruto used chakra strings to pull the sword from the depths of the crater. He held the sword in his hands. 'It survived the Gigantic Rasengan, huh? Maybe it wasn't hit directly.' Naruto thought as he swung the sword, feeling its weight.

'It's decent at mid-range, but it sucks in close combat and at long distances. Maybe I can use it as a boomerang.' Naruto mused as he walked back to his pupils.

Naruto boarded the boat. "Let's go, we're close."

All of them were too stunned to speak, but the boatman continued rowing, seemingly in a state of shock. Sasuke, however, was visibly affected.

'Rivals my ass,' she scoffed, folding her arms.

After a few minutes in their journey "Tazuna," Naruto said suddenly, his face darkening.

Tazuna shivered at the sound of his name.

"Yes, sir..." he stammered meekly.

"Explain," Naruto demanded, swinging the large sword menacingly.

"Y-yes," Tazuna replied, his voice trembling.

Tazuna explained everything – how he had tricked them into accepting a C-rank mission when it was actually closer to B-rank or even A-rank in difficulty. He revealed that he was the target of one of the wealthiest men in the world and that the man they had just fought was one of the assassins sent after him.

"Sir Naruto, the noise you made might have alerted the other dangerous people. I think you shouldn't have made that much noise," the boatman said, looking like he was about to soil himself.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at them both, making them both tense.

They could say nothing, he was the one to save them. And to say that he made too much noise, made it sound.... insulting?

"I apologize, Naruto-sama, but it was the only thing I could do. I'm just a humble bridge builder, nothing more. If you cancel this mission, I will be assassinated, and my people will be forced into eternal slavery. That man, Gato, he's pure evil. Anyone who opposes him disappears without a trace. Please, I beg you to reconsider. My daughter and my grandchild will weep." Tazuna bowed deeply, his voice filled with grief.

Naruto looked at him, deep in thought.

Hinata watched this exchange, her heart aching as she listened to Tazuna's story. Hinata was a kind girl who wanted to help everyone, despite her introverted nature, making it difficult for her to express her feelings.

She gently tugged on the tip of his shirt and nudged him timidly.

Naruto turned his head and saw Hinata looking shyly at him. "S-Sensei, c-can't we help him?" she stammered, her face flushed crimson.

Naruto thought for a few seconds then looked at the old man and made his decision.

"Fine," he said, and everyone sighed in relief. Especially Tazuna.

It was a stroke of incredible luck for Tazuna. After witnessing the defeat of all the assassins by the hands of the boy in front of him, Tazuna felt much more reassured than he would have with a normal ninja.

"Thank you, Naruto-sama. I will never forget your kindness!" Tazuna bowed again.

"Raise your head, old man. Don't worry about it," Naruto said feeling uneasy at the sight of an old man bowing to him when he was much older than him but to Tazuna he was like the light to his problems such that it made him sob.

But the boatman interjected.

"Everyone, be quiet. There are people above us." The boatman pointed towards the unfinished metal bridge, where the mist still obscured them from view.

The boat rowed quietly through the dense mist until it reached a large tunnel, wide enough for the boat to pass through.

At the end of the tunnel, bright light shone through. The mist subsided, and they emerged into the sunlight.

"We've arrived in the Land of Waves," the boatman said, stopping the boat near the port as everyone disembarked.

Before the boatman could leave, Naruto discreetly slipped him a stack of bills.

"Take care of yourself," Naruto said with a smile as the man started to cry.

Naruto turned away before the man could thank him and rejoined his pupils.

'Truly, the oppressed are the saddest.'
